Glad it isn't personal, I don't generally take things personally on a forums either. SOME things, maybe, but normally not, and sorry it took me so long to get back to this thread, I had to gank some nub in my other game that dared to enter the area I claimed as 'mine own domain and kingdom'.

Now, i agree with the basic premise that a bussiness is meant to make money. It's in the interest of most people posting in this forums that PWI remains a succesful venture, as none of us wants to log in one day to find a notice informing us our chars are soon to be deleted. However we do have legitimate complaints on our role as customers. Things are never simple when dealing with such matters.

IRL i'm a lawyer, just took a break from forums to discuss a matter with a friend of mine, and now prospective client i'm sad to say. Child custody case. I did what i always do on these cases, i tried to talk him out of going to court. Now, as hurtful as it may seem to my practice, i consider it my ethical duty. These are usually long, unpleasant and expensive affairs. Unlike divorce cases, the couple will very likely have to deal with each other for the rest of their lives whatever the trial's outcome. I offered to help in drafting a conciliatory agreement, which to me is always a first step even if it's peanuts compared to what i'd get if we went to court.

Now, my interest in profit i believe should always come second to whatever's best for the client. Many lawyers don't practice this and hence the ill repute of our profession. To a certain extent this applies to any enterprise. An electrician should not endanger your life doing shoddy work and a grocer should not sell you spoiled food.

MMOs are entertainment, and quality remains an important issue for both customer and provider. There are many complaints i have about the game, they haven't stopped me from logging on. However atm i'm not spending anything in it. As some posters have pointed in other threads, it has come to the point where it's much more efficient to spend time working irl than to actually play the game. There is nothing now that cannot be bought. Experience, gear, reputation, etc. Some of us yet hope that some measure of restraint will be brought in on the interest of consumer satisfaction. I'll be perfectly honest in saying that if i wanted to spend money on a wallet race i know a lot of bars where buying the regular clientele some drinks will result in much better forms of entertainment than anything a computer will ever do.

So in short yes, this is a bussiness, as customers however we have a right to demand satisfaction. It doesn't have to come to confrontation but the bottom line is all people reading this have a limit as to how much they're willing to spend, and expectations about what that will buy. A company that fails to harmonize it's interests with those of it's clients will ironically enough become a good money maker for me or my coleagues. Bussiness is booming for us through the economic downturn, and my firm made a killing with bankruptcies last year alone...

Life can often times be a hard, painful struggle and while we all (myself included) may wish it to be a Utopia where everything is free and we only have to ask for it to be given to us.. life simply isn't that way now, and is likely NEVER to be that way, so you may as well get used to it early on and learn to deal with life as it is handed to you.

This may be hard for some of you to accept. But sometimes the truth about life is a dark, bitter pill. We try to make the best of it, we work to make things better for ourselves, and we accept life on life's terms. Everyone eventually has to come to those terms. Those who can't accept that, eventually suicide or go crazy.

I would hope you all (even those I dislike) would never go those last two routes as those are the routes chosen by the failures in life.

i do have the right to complain about a product that was once well run, and now is not. i pay for quality, and expect it.

From what I remember of your posts, you don't pay anything in this game, if I am incorrect then I apologize to you now, for my memory being in error.

PWI is still run well. They are a Business. They are making money, and that is what they are designed to do. If you are unhappy with what you are getting for your hard earned dollar, then by all means, be vocal about it, but don't expect them to change a working business plan just because you are unhappy. If on the other hand you are unhappy with what you are getting, and not paying a dime into the system to support it, you have no right to complain, about ANYTHING, and THAT is my point in this entire thread.

thank you for the apology....i do buy things ingame, both in the AH and CS. and, as a disabled person, i am perhaps even more passionate about trying my hardest to do everything myself, without asking anyone for help while making myself as available to help others as possible, because IRL i cannot be so independent now.


i am upset when i see the quality i once saw here lessening, and that is what i grouch about. this, because PW is so very important to me, in more ways than anyone knows

while my body fails me more as time passes, but my freedom is here, in this game.

YES, pwi is a company and as everyone else they have to make a living. But if they want players they have to at least be able to listen to some of the complains so they can make better options (which I actually think they do )

thats not the case here, people are just finding every little thing to bish about here. WHO THE HELL COMPLAINS ABOUT 2x EXP AND DROPS SERIOUSLY?! you have something good given to you, and the forum throws a fit. luckily this isnt even 1% of the player base, so whats said here in the form of complaint and suggestion is NOT what 99% of the players wants.

people here just love to complain. they should shut up for 5 seconds and listen to themselves, just to hear how ridiculous they sound.

then there is the rare side of the forum, the guys who think theyre the sensible ones who attack and insult all the ubsurd complainers. theyre rude, arrogant, and love to belittle and berate every little person they can bite the head off of. it makes me wonder how some of these people arent banned permanently yet, theyre nothing but detrimental to the community.

if anything these arses should be removed from the forum, theyre even more annoying than the whiners.

Do you remember back when I first joined the PWI community Waffle? People tried to have reasonable and Intelligent discussions, but it seemed no matter how hard we tried, the fools, imbeciles and idiots abounded and washed over anything said, with the offal of their ignoble births and singular lack of any ability to think logically. After trying to be reasonable, and meeting nothing but a wall of idiocy, I gave up, and decided if you can't reason with them, you may as well spit on them and tell them what you really think of them.

You yourself know that at one time I tried to be a semi reasonable person. To be honest, though, while I see your point, I must point out that you do the same thing, just in a slightly more subtle manner. Your method is more like the knife, while mine is more like a sledgehammer.

This is the BIGGEST problem with PWI, its a nice game but has to many players that think they are so darn good.

And yea it has been hysterical complains about everything, myself I love the events and stuff that pw gives us and the stuff I don't think is that good I dont care about. But I get the feeling that the OP state that none other than him should have a opinion and if they do they should leave to make him/her happy.

Sai, I'm not one of the QQers, but I'm worried about quality of gameplay. Tell me then, what should I do to show my sadness because of PWI changing their business strategy? For me, uninstalling game is not an option. I love the game. I love the players. And I don't believe that all we can do is to "suck it up". You can repeat all the time that PWI exist to make money, but I don't believe they can't do it without changing the game so drastically.
