So you are unhappy with how PWI does things...

Then you have three simple choices.
1. Uninstall the client and leave, never looking back.
2. Shutting up and dealing with it. PWI is after all a BUSINESS.
3. Crying on the forums like some psychotic idiot about how terrible PWI is for being a business who's goal is to make money.
Personally, I would prefer if you did #1. with the added thought that you should learn that life is not 'free' (unless you are a welfare scab), and that anything you want in the world at the least, costs you time and effort, and usually money.
That is life.
Life is not easy.
Life can often times be a hard, painful struggle and while we all (myself included) may wish it to be a Utopia where everything is free and we only have to ask for it to be given to us.. life simply isn't that way now, and is likely NEVER to be that way, so you may as well get used to it early on and learn to deal with life as it is handed to you.
This may be hard for some of you to accept. But sometimes the truth about life is a dark, bitter pill. We try to make the best of it, we work to make things better for ourselves, and we accept life on life's terms. Everyone eventually has to come to those terms. Those who can't accept that, eventually suicide or go crazy.
I would hope you all (even those I dislike) would never go those last two routes as those are the routes chosen by the failures in life.

Little bit of QQ with basically saying those people should just leave the game(which I sort of agree with), but mostly speaking truths to the people who really aren't going to listen anyway. >.> So I suppose in a sense, its pointless, but at least it proves some people are here understand the world outside of a videogame enough to at least survive in it.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

But Moog, I am not crying about anyone, I am imparting sage advice to people who think everything should be handed to them on a silver platter, and can't understand why it isn't.
I am giving them the benefit of my age, and wisdom on how they can help themselves get through the vast wilderness that is life. Wisdom that, in time they would be forced to learn themselves, often painfully.
I know that many will ignore it, and then be bewildered when life beats them to the ground. I am hoping though that a few will read it and be saved from that painful beating, or at least have the chance to lesson it's severity.
I am actually truly being altruistic here. Don't worry, I will eventually go back to my normal, nasty self. But for now, I truly am trying to be helpful.

+1. I especially wish those who cry about not getting their way, can't take no for an answer, say that the GM's are useless, say they're gonna make a private server to play PWI their way, say they'll contact Obama to change the rules in an mmorpg (LOL!), and spam WC when they get shot down on the forums would do #1.

In this utopia you speak of will all idiots and as you eloquently put it "welfare scabs" be erased from existence? If so it sounds like a wonderful place.Jennalicious - Sanctuary wrote: »+1. Ahh but Hunter, those things are not free, they are acquired either by paying out cash, or putting forth the effort to make the coin in game to buy them.

*cough*
Life isn't a wilderness. It's a desert. It's harsh and dry. During the day you sweat and struggle to continue as your legs tire. At night you freeze and have only yourself as company. Constantly searching for an oasis that you hope is over that dune but expecting nothing. Once you die then the winds blow dust and sand over your body and leave no trace that you ever existed.

Silence is consent, SPEAK UP!
I would much rather have people around me whining, and trying to change something, then for them to simply leave without a word.
While you are correct pwi is a business, no business could make it without input from its customer, some of US DO pay to play, which make there/our input very valid, if pwi wants to continue to strive as a business, then they really should listen, encourage us to express our concerns, or suggestions.Ah, Mistakes are so easily made. ~ laura resnick

I don't disagree with this. I was directing my statement more to those who expect something for nothing, and then can't understand and therefore become angry and offended, when they get what they pay for.
Those of us who, on the other hand own/run their own businesses, know and understand why a business like PWI operates as they do. The design of this business is to make money. It isn't designed to do anything else BUT that.

Again, some effort has to be put out to accomplish those things. While that effort may not be significant, it still requires effort.
The 5 free levels required people accomplish something, and as you can see, that was accomplished. It took some people a bit of effort to create all those fake accounts to push the FB count above 50k.
Dailies take some time, and time is effort.

i take offense in being called a (welfare scab),i am on welfare cause my job dried up and went to Mexico. i don't whine in game, or on these forums about cash shoppers, and stuff being unfair. i came here to have some fun and forget that, i have bills due, that i can't pay, i can't find a job. and my credit is so far south of south i can't even begin to think of schooling.
you think i wanna be on welfare your wrong, i enjoyed working my butt off and coming home tired and ready for sleep. i've been unemployed for almost a year now, and today was the first job interview i've had for almost 9 months. i understand there are some ppl that do live on welfare but i doubt very few are here, due to the fact that welfare don't give you enough to live on let alone afford cable or DSL to play internet games.
If any thing you should put some more thought into what you wanna say before typing it out on a screen, but thats just my two cents, and from the sounds of it thats about all your worth.0 -

You seem to think confronting someone on their violation of the TOS when they are complaining about people violating the TOS in their original post is somehow bad. I highly recommend option 1 for you because you are obviously not intelligent enough to know when option 2 is the smart thing for you to do.
Personally I think your issue has nothing to do with what I had said, but rather that I dared to point out how a persons signature was a violation of the TOS because of their religious statements in it (which suggests to me your real problem is that I dared to 'attack' (in your eyes) your real life professed religion and it offended you that I did so). You failed to win the argument in THAT thread because I destroyed you there, so now you come crawling into this thread thinking you have somehow made a salient point, when the actuality is, you just look really stupid. Again.

I completely agree, people need to deal with the fact that they may not like every change to the game.Full power to the Vagiroscope!0 -
I have no clue why some people get so bothered seeing others complain about the game on forums. You dont criticize and complain here because you're dumb enough to think it will change anything. Pretty sure we all know that Chinese developers dont read these treads lol.
Most people that devotes a big part of their spare time on a MMO has the need to discuss, debate and argue with other players when they are unhappy about something. Thats what forums are for. If you are angry/upset with how this company runs things or ingame features, you will feel better if you get to discuss it with equals. It also might help you to see the hole thing differently.
Than we have all these morons just rejecting every criticizing comment as " QQ-ing" and tells you to suck it up and uninstall, is rather ignorant actually. Do they think we just fill the forum with pretty pics of veno pets and fashion, guides and cute stories about in game marriages?0 -

I think you missed the entire point of the thread. The point is NOT about people discussing issues or having complaints, rather it is that subset of people who expect everything to be handed to them, screaming and yelling about OMG why is this so expensive, and why should I have to pay this much coin and omg PWI is so wrong for being a BUSINESS and they should just give everything away for free because this is a free to play game.
THAT is the subset of people I am addressing.

I guess you missed the point of the thread as well. I suggest you go back and read it again. The only person I have said anything negative to in this thread, was a person that 'tried' to derail the thread by bringing in a conversation from another thread.
I am actually being very serious in this thread, I honestly think people need to understand that you don't get something for nothing, and that PWI is a business. They are not here to toss about flowers and joy, they are here to make money. There are to many people on these forums that don't seem to understand that concept and i am trying to explain it to them as nicely and succinctly as I can w/o being mean or nasty about it as I normally am.
That might be hard for you to understand, given my normal propensity for trolling, but in this particular case, I am not trying to troll anyone.

So again you bring things that are NOT a part of this thread into it? You really are slow. I hate to say it son, but you should get a clue before you keep on. If you REALLY want me to destroy you again, go back to that thread and start posting in it. I will be happy to continue that discussion there, and again show everyone what an idiot you are.
Your behavior is bordering on stalking btw. Do you have a PERSONAL issue with me? If so I suggest you take that PERSONAL issue, and take it to PM's and we can deal with it there. This thread is not the other thread, and is in no way shape or form related to it, so I suggest you remember the rules son, and follow them.

I am sorry if that statement offended you, but let me explain what the term means to me so you will understand that I am not referring to people like you when I say it.
A welfare scab, is a person that goes on welfare and makes no effort at all to come off it. They sit on it and feel sorry for themselves, and blame everyone else for the state they are in.
Welfare was not meant to be a permanent solution and a free hand out to people like it has become, it was meant to be a temporary helping hand, till a person was/is able to get back on their feet. If they are unable to due to Illness or Injury, I again have no problems with that at all.
I have no issues with people who are trying. I have issues with those who are not trying.
I hope that clarifies my meaning, and again I apologize if my initial statement was offensive. It wasn't meant to be, and I admit I neglected to remember that everyone doesn't share the same terms/meanings as I do and should have been clearer in my statement on what I meant.

You forget that what I stated in that OTHER THREAD was NOT pointless nor off topic in that thread, let me remind you that they were discussing TOS violations and saying they should report people for it but would be spending to much time doing that. I pointed out that they had a TOS violation in their own signature. So while you may FEEL I went off topic, I was NOT off topic, I was simply on one PORTION of the topic.
Now then.. do please stay on topic of THIS thread, and stop trying to bring in topic matter from another thread that isn't related to this thread in any way shape or form, thank you very much.
