You can't run from a bug when its -1 second to chant b:shocked
The event was pretty lame and to call it 50+ was a joke -_-
    Only strong factions got drops.

how do people die? you run when tyrant talks and come back.. cant see how you can die on that? keep dieing in fcc as well?
I figured that out the moment Sezan said "It's runewolf", and only died to that AOE once or twice more due to carelessness. And to be fair, it's got much longer range than Asoteric Runewolf (40m, at least, compared to Runewolf's ~25m), and a faster cast, thus leaving melee types less time to get away.

There's really no excuse for the people that died 6 or 7 times in a row though, especially after Sezan and I kept spamming the chat channel with things like "Run when he says Let the heavens quake", "Run when he starts chanting", and "RUNNNN" (when he actually does it).

Holy Path? lol seriously its like the archer topic on assassins, people go way to hopeless about that, people that kept dieing must be braindead.. or too busy qqing in worldchat/forum.

I died like 6 times trying to see if I could get my herc out of there, mainly because of that barb running around with the OPrunewolf lol

Despite having a level 21 archer, I didn't even die once. b:chuckle I managed to pick a few items and some coins but it wasn't enough to cover the arrows, repair bill and mana pots combined. It was too easy and not enough mobs/bosses IMO.

And here's another GM I haven't seen before....

lawl that was funny. at first people didn't catch on how the boss worked, boss goes AOE and everyone around him dropped >.<. it was like a huge ring of AOE crescents going off. fun to watch from the air

all about avoiding it when he talks or get 1 shot, kind of reminds me of old school video game bosses.

the xp loss pshhhh, can be made up by the next BH or FCC lol.

Quite frankly, I don't understand the mentality of the people who complain about the event. The amount of people crying about it in World Chat was hilarious to the point that it wasn't even funny. Hello? Nobodies forcing you to participate. Don't like it, don't do it. Simple.

I myself got absolutely nothing out of it. I was away when it started and by the time I got back to the computer, there were only Tyrants left. Couldn't really accomplish much without getting my butt kicked. Wasn't until later on I discovered there was a pattern, and suffered several painful deaths.

Even then though, unfortunately didn't get any drops. Shucks. I look forward to the next event where I might get a bit more lucky.

For all of you complaining about how fail the event was, I'd like to present to you some evidence of the fact that, despite your own personal opinions, they were trying, and riding their backsides does nothing. After I made a WC asking for more Event, this little dialogue took place with me and a GM.

    2010-02-1810-32-20.jpg

I'm assuming that they probably didn't see this coming, as they were shocked that we were done, especially with so many WCs complaining about the AoEs. As you can see from the timing of the GM text, and the timing of our conversation, nobody was expecting the sheer coordination of our large band of heroes. But, like I said. Most of us in that level know all about Super Mighty, and his wonderful screaming AoE.

I'd like to thank Dubois for taking the time to figure out what was going on, but at the same time, I hope we all learned from this experience. We've done large clusters of mobs before, and there are the exact same problems that arise. One, there is always lag, two, with large groups of mobs comes large groups of players, and, I'll brag for my entire server. There are a hell of a lot of us that know what's going on. Despite the horrendous AoE on that boss, we still managed to take him down.

You guys tried. We get that, and despite the moans, we're thankful. But we're past the days when spawning Mantavip on our heads would send us scurrying for the nearest area away from him. We've become better, stronger, and smarter. Your events should evolve, like the players you have created them for. You learned from the last one. Instead of creating one mass of mobs around Archo, you moved them completely away from each other. We're grateful for that. But you know, and we know you know, you can do much, much better. I personally enjoyed the event. I died like 6 times, usually running from one Tyrant AoE into yet another Tyrant AoE, but it was still something different. Now, all we need to do is improve upon it.

Instead of putting those kind of bosses out where new players start leaving Archo, put them in Momaganon, or Lothranis. And use similar tactics for the other bosses. Drop the FB19 bosses and such near Archosaur, so that players near that level can relive their first real kills. And that's if you decide to do bosses. You guys have run Events where you had to find GMs, and other such fun things. I, for one, am eagerly awaiting the next event, to see what you come up with next.

I moved all my bars over so I could Screenshot the whispers. And I had to shrink my screen size drastically to play the entire event without any lag.

I acutally think they learned form the event on dreamwaver and harshlands (it was harshlands right? w/e) to not do 1 big event where the whole server kills 2 bosses. Instead of the acient attack on arch (the death from above was 1 big lag fest, with the entire server taking down world boss hp bosses in 3mins, and a fully healed GM (100mil hp anyone?) in like 10mins

This so called event was a fail. this event was for lvl90+ from strong guilds. How can a lvl50-60 player kill that boss when he 1hit 20k hp barbs? Whats to point DD it if u know that u get nothing from it. I dont understand why PWi doing such non sense "events". Only reason can be that they have no idea what real event is or just dont care (what a shocker) and just throw us something made in 5 mins..Every1 goes there, hoping for something fun, useful..PWi use this cuz they know that players are hungry for events.

The first events occured on Dreamweaver and Lost City. The one on Lost City (which I attended at the beginning) was a huge PK fest for Essence and Kamisama. Those two were just AoEing like hell and crushing as much people as they could.

It became way too laggy for me (eventhough I did not die) so I ended up stopping but well... Wasn't very good.

Yea, it'd kill you if it was a cleric/archer/wizzy who you can't kill in these 5 secs.
But vs other melee class it could rock b:laugh

Oh, my definition of lucky would be letting everyone else do the work, swooping in with cloud sprint when the boss goes below 100k hp, and snatching up the loot that I didn't even rightfully earn.

Didn't work too well though. Maybe next time!
