This event will take place on Thursday February 18th on Harshlands server at 7:00AM Pacific (10:00AM Eastern) and
on Sanctuary server at 8:00AM Pacific.

*Sanctuary and Harshlands servers only*

A new event this week for our early morning players!

As first light breaks over the land to end a chilly and foreboding darkness, two wraith armies, one mightier than the other, are found amassing in different locations on the World Map!

At the hour specified above, there will be a World Broadcast announcing the locations of the two wraith armies. One location will be meant for players level 50 and below. The second location will be meant for players above
level 50.

Stretch your legs, start your heart, and knock the sleep out of your eyes!

Join together on a picturesque Perfect World morning to break the new day with some player vs. wraith diplomacy!

Please note that a character's death will still incur the standard percentage loss of experience as it would normally.

Wonder how many High level n00b Pkers will camp that on Harshlands and how many 90+ players will be KSing the lowbies on Sanc.

About "90+ players ... KSing the lowbies on Sanc.", it's certainly possible, but the fact that they won't be getting any EXP or drops for their work may dissuade them from doing this.

Note: about the lack of EXP/drops, I'm referring to the loot/EXP mechanic involved when a high level character kills a low-level monster-- in this case, no EXP or drops can be attained. A character killing a similar-level monster, however, will indeed get EXP and drops for it.

But I like the fact that it would appear you guys adapted something about the events from the feedback that was given. Or at least, I hope that's what it is.

Have fun with the event, guys and gals.

people who want to be jerks will be jerks regardless of reward/drops

personal opinion: those areas should be made safe zones for the event's duration

The events will likely be monitored closely by many GMs on location. Hopefully the high lvls who like pking newbies have enough sense to not pull those stunts in front of them.

-.-; if it is anything like the event on Dreamweaver then no one will be getting anything and infact will lose stuff

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

Frankie, no offense, but you obviously don't know the server populations. On PK servers there will be high levels camping if it's not a SZ. Ever been to the Dragon Palace events? I believe the original idea was that teams would work together to retrieve chests and get rewards. It is a charm burning PK fest on most nights. People who want to PK to show off their epeens do so without worry about rewards. But hey I chose to be on a PK server so I support all that. It's what happens, but just be prepared for QQ

Plus how much exp could these mobs possibly give? Even if each mob gave 10k exp each then it would become a KS event in addition to the PK where high levels will get all the exp and lower in the tier none. At standard exp for the mobs, i.e. maybe 500 exp, no one will care about exp.

Has a GM ever been to a wraith attack or Dragon Palace event? I appreciate you trying and all, but you have to understand the player base. No one is going for the exp. Some will come for the drops, but most won't get any. And of course many will come for PK. I woudl say the most that will draw people will be that it's something new to do while they're bored.

    500 exp.......with hyper exp stones.......6000 exp a monster......and if they're easy to kill........

It was an example only lol. I have no idea what the experience per mob is though you do bring up a good point that hyper stones could make it more worthwhile, but not knowing how many mobs will spawn and given the KS that will happen is it worth using the stones? Imagine turning it on and only getting 3 kills.

I like the idea for this event, even though I'm not on the server. However, all the KSing that will happen, will be inevitable. For instance, a certain faction I won't mention on Heaven's Tear, has members that often KS the mobs/bosses for the Marriage daily just for the shear pleasure. They gain nothing from it, but mere hate and infamy. I'm sure this will happen with this event, sadly. Also, it will be a total lag-fest. Chances of gettin' a kill will be almost impossible unless these Wraith attacks will cover a massive area of the PW map, which I highly doubt.

I would like to thank the administrative community for hosting such an event.

I think the event would be more successful if there are more Wraith invasions. For example, if there were 10 separate invasions instead of 2, the amount of lag would be cut down a bit. Admittedly, this doesn't solve the KS / PK issue.

Personally, I think it would be awesome if every city had a standard Wraith Attack simultaneously.

I've been wondering, is this being done by population? Like DW has most so it's first, and RT is last since it has least? b:puzzled

If it is, it should be other way around. Least populated should be tested on first.
