With the sale of Oracles, Anniversary Packs, Coral Packs, and Hyper EXP Stones, we now have a massive jump in average player level. However, player levels don't mean a lot, if you don't know wtf you're doing.

So, I ask you...

Are we really sure common knowledge is common, now? Why haven't we been sharing it?

Did you know that Celestial Eruption purifies? Does the Demon Eruption do the same?

How many low level clerics know that IH can stack? Does anyone know the real name of BB or RB?

What skills does a BM need for stunlock?

How do you make a skill, on a pet, the default attack skill?

We get to watch the people around us make mistakes, while we never get touched. Unless they have someone who has been around for a while, they remain as clueless as the day they started. I wish someone had told me the difference between freeze, sleep, stun, and seal.

What happens to common knowledge when we stop sharing it?

    Add teaching a lvl 49 player that:

    1. FB Tabber keeps drops

    2. BH if one person wines and does not have the rest of the squad pay then winer gets drops

    3. BH if one person wines and does collect money/mats from the rest of the players then drops are random.

    (due to their lvl I expected to explain 2 and 3...I did not expect to be explaining 1 - isn't that something their faction - which I had seen around for a LONG time should have explained????)

    people like you that oracle their way up gets killed and rejected from squads... i think that sums up your last question.

Or randomly finding out that my spark purifies. =_= Please, get to know me, before you assume I didn't actually work for these levels. No training esotericas, no Hyper exp stones. And BH's didn't come out until well after I went on break, at level 63. t(^_~) You know what to do.

    It's true. I wish they had. When I first got Hailstorm, I totally thought I would be getting off some free hits. False. Ranged attackers still kicked my tail. Same for sleep. I had my doubts about whether it would be like stun or would the target wake up with a hit. Got Soporific Whisper and totally took some hits, in an FB79.

    So much for common knowledge. =_=

    Wait, so you're saying you don't want to learn anything on your own by testing it, you just want to be told how to play your character? That doesn't sound very fun to me.

    To get all the hate from a target use the "Fleash Ream" Skill. It looks like a tiger's mouth. While in true form cast that skill and you bite your target which results in an enormous explosion.

    Clerics are now allergic to Ironheart healing and "buff up" means only buff yourself and the barb.

    Blademasters are now chickens who won't take on more than one mob, and won't attack until the lured mob has run past them.

    Barbarians now think DDing is the best thing since sliced bread.

    It's not only the lack of sharing common knowledge, it's also the lack of asking questions. I've run into many players who just bull rush through the game without even bothering to find out what their skills do... and when you ask them why they use x skill instead of y skill, the usual response is "wtf do you know, you're a veno" or some other butthurt response. I'm more than happy to give out "common knowledge" if asked or the person is responsive to help.

    I'm not claiming to be an expert in even veno skills, but I DO have other chars as well and I DO pay attention to what skills others use on their classes so I can check it out on my own. And yes, I still ask silly questions from players more experienced than me - after playing this game for over a year o.o

    Most "Common" knowledge is achieved through people playing and leveling their char.
    Now if people choose to oracle/hyper their way from low > high level and not gain that "Common" knowledge, why should other players wet nurse them ?

    Rofl. The reason being that you don't want kiters to run directly back to the group of mobs it was originally lured from. There, I've done my part for the sharing of common knowledge.

    My main is a veno, I know alot about luring. This is when there is no barb and the BM plays the tank. I did not specify any type of mob, and was not reffering to this situation.

    The BMs I squad with, can bearly grasp the concept of sub tanking. I end up doing it for them. You're not supposed to let melee mobs run past you and kill the squishies.

    Thats part of learning though. Players need to figure out which mobs are runners or not and that knowledge is only got through doing the instance.

    FB79 and Eden are a pain for runners, and yes you let them pass you before grabbing agro.
    Personally I normally RoTP when they are passing, then position myself at the side they have just come from.

    These people I squad with are level 70+. If they made it this far without figuring it out, I'm very doubtful they have the capacity to learn anything. Most of the time because the BM won't tank and I'm doing his job, the cleric's just as bad and he's either healing the BM or himself. We squad wipe, then they blame me for having aggro.

    The fact is that they're not catching the mobs and letting them hit/kill the lurer. They're about as useful as a chest of coins.

    lurers do get hit somethimes catching perfect 100% off the time is impossible
    and at very bad times they even get killed(wurlord in TT2-X for example)

    also to you clerics since alot off you seem to forget this in fb/bh69
    gaurnob also debuffs so dont forget to purify your tank at him
    and at pole purifying is top priority rather cancel a heal and purify your tank asap then first finish the channel since the damage the tank gets will be alot more then that 1 heal when debuffed
    its impossible to always do the right thing we all make mistakes i am not different from that
    just try to be a good person

    You admitted to having a veno, hence you can not possibly be pro enough to have knowledge of other classes. Specially not when it seems it's always the venos fault when something goes wrong. Or the clerics. Or whoever else cept the person complaining.

    On that note.. finally someone else who has encountered the melee classes unable (or unwilling?) to catch! Irks the hell out of me to lure something and end up kiting the damn thing cause either the barb or the bm is in their own little world and fails to catch -.-

    I do however have to give credit to a BH69 squad I was in with my cleric a while ago.. the rest were a barb, a bm and 3 sins -> was expecting squad wipes left and right due to the sins, but was surprised at how well they took care of the only person able to rez and heal. No one ran off out of heal range, if I caught aggro for some reason someone was there within a second to take it off etc and they all knew what their skills did. Forgot the names of the people, but that was one pro squad b:victory

    So yeah.. to counter the oracle n00bs and general fails, there are players out there who actually take the time to learn their class and how to play it, both soloing and in a squad. Unfortunately they seem to be in the minority.

    This would be, in all likelihood, the barb's fault. Use Alpha Male instead of rely entirely on FR to catch.

    If you're a veno, you should know when to kite and the mobs should be well past the BMs to use DR, otherwise your timing and anticipation is well off. If you have a pet with bash you can pull with tame/EF, they get one hit off at most, kite, send the pet off to bash, and watch as the mob gets turned, itself, while running after you. There you go, no BM necessary. If you want a visual tutorial of this I can show you myself with my veno. If the veno is not far enough away so that the BM or whoever can turn mobs, if not turn the mobs themselves, then the veno gets hit until they figure it out. Simple as that.
