Question for KD.

From my perspective, this is the deal with what happened the past 2 weeks.
Nurfed wanted a fun TW, not "fake" or anything, but a REAL TW, so Zulu was going to attack KD and "sort of" break the alliance, some people saw it as a betrayal and some people saw it as a "fake" bid. KD's reps on the forums seemed to be nervous about getting ganked that weekend, none of them really seemed to be focused on having a "fun" TW.
The timing worked out so that the Zulu war and the KY war for Lost was on separate days mostly because of the greatly increased number of bids on KD by small factions that thought they could ninja a land from a distracted KD. (evoke bidded on Crimson) I don't know the exact events that led up to KY winning the land, but whatever happened it scared KD into recruiting and asking favors for this week.
Today the timing looked very well for Evoke, being stacked with KY's attack on 1K. It seemed like we were finally going to get on the map and not have to face the /full force/ of a larger landowning faction. (imo, the only way for a faction to step up and pose a threat is to get on the map by means other than fighting it out head on. There's no way a faction that has no income, to vs. a faction that owns over half the map and win head on.)
KD went full force on us, KY won 1K about 2 mins after our war was over.
So. Why did you ask for help and then not defend against KY?
Two weeks ago KD said Evoke wasn't a threat, we haven't changed much since then, if anything we've gotten worse and KD has gotten stronger. Did you just know you were going to lose against KY? or we're you just afraid we would get land?
I would think that it would be in everyone's best interest if KD had tried to defend 1K. If they won, even if they lost the other 2 lands, 1k is worth more than them both. If they lost the other 2, 2 new factions would be on the map, and they would probably sit on it (unless they got a lucky break) and gain experience defending that land, just like what happened with Karma.
What people see happening is KY taking land and winning TW (yes against no defense, but that's not what people see). More people are going to want to join the faction that is taking the land, KY is only going to get stronger now that they have 1K. Not Evoke or Takoda or Zulu or Crimson or Karma or any other faction, they will probably only lose members.
There was a poll that asked what people would like to see more, two big guilds fighting for control, one guild owning it all, or many guilds small sections of land. Everyone voted for many guilds, and it seems like to me KD is trying to keep it between KD and KY. (maybe they can't count past 2)
Can we discuss this? and try not to just flame please, maybe I don't understand it fully, but maybe im actually getting at something.

3 hour TWs and massive charm burn is only fun when its caused by good execution by both guilds, ratehr than both guilds being just dumb enough to prevent teh other from winning.
48 people in TW, poor execution.
not sure what this "asking for help" business is about, but we tried to defend lost city and lost with the people we had, so why would we try to defend vs even more catas when we have 2 other wars.

i see that too....they DID take land, and they DID win TW. people that dont understand the difference between lvl 1,2, and 3 TWs and dont pay attention to what goes on within each guild, are non factors. When Kylin was struggling and getting weaker KD knew it and jumped all over them, now the same is happening teh otehr way around.
People that join guilds because of recent guild success will never be any benefit to TW guilds, as their intentions are quite obviously not for the better of the guild, but only for their own benefit.
Why is it always only KD fault? where does kylins role come in to play? this comment pisses me off.

Well its really simple to explain, TW at lvl3 lands is 4 catas against other 4 catas, TW at lvl2 lands the attacker can have 6 catapults which means easier for the attacker, TW lvl1 lands the attacker gets 8 catapults and between a fight of even guilds or even if the defender is slightly stronger it gets almost impossible to defend and thats y KD defended other TWs instead of the 1k streams one.
Now I wouldnt say KY is getting free lands cuz KY last week and this week won against KD also in lvl3 lands TW when defending against em and other guilds.(\__/)

KD has been suffering a lot from people not showing up to TW, and a lack of organization within TW. Kylin has stepped up their game recently, and are doing a good job of pushing their advantage.
Attacking 1k was the logical thing to do for KY, and I would have done the same thing if I was in XuLin's position. No guild on any server has ever successfully defended a level 1 land.
Evoke and Zulu are also both bidding on KD weekly now, which just makes it easier on KY. I'm a little disappointed with Zulu on this matter, because most of its founding members claim to have left KD due to the fact that KY was no longer a threat. I don't understand why they are helping KY, the guild that supposedly they all hated so much.
Evoke on its own does not pose a threat to KD, as demonstrated by its performance today. Building all Binding Towers and turtling in your base is an obvious stall tactic and only serves to help Kylin, not yourself. Therefor making your whole guild as useless as a fake bid.

Im kind of confused on the whole issue of Zulu, apparently even you guys don't know what Nurfed is up to though, I was kind of under the impression that Zulu was working as kind of a break-off guild of KD like Evoke is.
If there was the intention of simply delaying KD for KY to take 1K I wasn't aware of it at all, I figured the "stall tactic" was more for our own satisfaction rather than for KY's gain (to say we lasted xx amount of time against KD!), but im sure we all knew it was going to go really really good or really really bad.

well KD is a good faction.. first to get a land of the server (King Feast if i'm right) while ky failed its first week due to low attendance..
KD has been lately victim of some faction drama (of what i heard from the kds and ex kds) leading them to lose people.. KY lost people too.. mainly playing on RT server because they thought KD was CQ... Saying that KD is getting stronger is not true.. they lost kirbie one of the best veno always killing me in def(101 wf), Chronex(good barb CATA), hellzdemon (+12 hh100 dealing 8k gush non crit) and maybe more that i dont even know.
Our attack on City of the Lost last week was a complete fail even if we won... reason : poor attendance because kylin has tons of european members as myself.. they cant really attend wars. Lvl2 tw should have been a 1 push attack since kd was being ganked... we didnt do our part on the first push so tw lasted long.. no fun for me when we dont do what we need to do.
Our attack on 1k Streans is a lvl1 TW.. completely different of what u guys know abt tw. KD cannot defend against us on 1k.. and if they attack 1k next week we wont be able to defend too. thats all..our factions are too equal in power to be able to defend.
Now calling for help i think its abt Banz.. yeh u wanted the rank8 archer in KD maybe to help u win against us but banZz wont attack us. most of his friends are in KY, he joined just to tw against zulu.. dont u see he doesnt even talk on KD's faction chat? heard its boring as hell but w/e b:chuckle

This week tw when we were defending for 2.30hrs was really fun. i was placed in defence to pew pew your clerics.. guess i did a nice job.. it brought me into pvp ranking list(never rpked with my ea char) good comunication with my squad. and we did a nice job.. we could have lost that tw i wouldnt even mind cause it was a nice tw even though there was low attendance again... 14.00 east is sick...
Zulu - Why would zulu attack KD? we all know zulu has so many kd alts... what happen to KD this week was more than predictable and I think they are going to lose some more in the next weeks, they are bleeding high ranks for ages now, and please, spending 500 usd on oracles is surelly buying your KD membership.

I'm glad to see that you and a lot of other people from Kylin realize this fact. I know that a lot of people were talking trash after you guys took 1k, and I don't think everyone realizes that it's a totally different kind of TW when attacking/defending a level 1 land.
I didn't even know he joined the guild because he never said anything or did anything with KD. I was told that he joined solely because he wanted to TW against Zulu. There was never a 'cry for help' put out.
The Prodigy guild is not a fake bid, nor does it have KD alts. We did not pay them, or ask them to bid on KY. As far as I know, the only reason they are bidding on KY is because RayVer has his irl girlfriend in the guild. They are no more of a fake bid from KD then Evoke is for Kylin.
At the moment, KD has a KoS on Zulu. But as you said, there are a lot of KD alts in the guild, leading to a very confusing situation. As far as TW and PvP is concerned, there is no real alliance or allies. But I have seen cases where a KD alt in Zulu gets pked and calls their friend from KD to help them. These are isolated incidents, and shouldn't be taken as a sign of the guilds as a whole.
I agree with you on this, I just wanted to clarify something. Myself and a few others from the guild agree that in the last month, Kingdom as a whole got kinda confident and relaxed. We got sloppy and now we are suffering from it as Kylin is getting better at TW. We have lost a few good members, as you stated, but we are working hard at getting our stuff together and getting back in the game.
There is only one last thing I want to mention. I don't want this to be taken as flaming, because it isn't intended to be so. But one of the biggest reasons for Kylins success, especially recently, is because of the irl money that a lot of their members spend on this game. Now, I'm not QQing about irl advantage, you can spend your money however you see fit. But its a fact that Kylin has the largest percentage of major cash shoppers on the server, and as a result, the guild as a whole is much better equipped then Kingdom. It makes a huge difference in TW, and when you take this into account of KD's pathetic turnout for wars, and general lack of organization, it really makes an impact.
Anyway, I know that was a long post, but I guess I just want to say that TW isn't as one-sided as people think, and KD vs KY wars are anyone's game at this point.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

This week tw when we were defending for 2.30hrs was really fun. i was placed in defence to pew pew your clerics.. guess i did a nice job.. it brought me into pvp ranking list(never rpked with my ea char) good comunication with my squad. and we did a nice job.. we could have lost that tw i wouldnt even mind cause it was a nice tw even though there was low attendance again... 14.00 east is sick...
Zulu - Why would zulu attack KD? we all know zulu has so many kd alts... Mr taboo is in there too ... the marshal of kd wont let zulu do that right? and we all saw in open pvp kd calling zulu or zulu calling kd(but i wonder who in kd will pk)... 2 days ago MDT pked Pinkerbell in ToA when we were going to farm 3-1... QQs and QQs on WC and calling us out... wat do we see? 14 people kd and zulu utd to pk a squad of KY... but anyway they all died after we equipped charms... so please stop the fake bids
So even though KD has been losing tw since 2 weeks doesnt mean they are failing or falling apart.. maybe they just need time to see why they are losing and work on it.. looking forward to get good tws again..

Evoke is struggling to hold onto active 9x barbs at the moment, hense we find ourselves without anyone with cata experience besides Armageddon each week.
Evoke is looking to take land, but you cant really train people to pull catas without actually being in TW itself because u cant pull catas anywhere except in TW, turtling at base is just common sense since you always come down lane B and therefore my attack squads are forced up longer lanes, so we have to stop ur initial push atleast in order to have a chance.
If the peeps that joined Evoke and left within 12 hours to a week because my guild "sucked" (HellzDemon, Chronex, miss_emm, Jlung, Swiftfire, JCollins, Rhyme to name a few) had all stayed in Evoke and meshed with our current core Evoke would be as strong as Crimson and alot more TW ready.
Remember Evoke is still only a month and a half old, wasnt created with a core of 5 or 6 10x players and easy poaching from KD, and is only just stabalizing at 170ish loyal players who dont QQ all day.
We will continue to TW every week and sooner or later we'll win a land, I have no doubt about it.
So don't say we're not even tryna win a land, coz its not the case.
As for Zulu... Nurfed is just a dumbass leader who boxed himself in under KDs land, and cant keep his guild together without doing TWs, so of course they attack KD.0 -
Evoke's largest issue is a lack of training, I hope arma hasnt tried to convince you he is a good catapult barbarian because when I ported back to the base after our win (Town Portal FTW), I found that he had spent his time pounding on towers with his cata rather than just directly attacking the crystal like we did in your base. So one thing I would say is dont let Arma teach your other barbs how to pull, find someone else like Bain, Taboo, Chronex, Juggernaut to get tips from for your cata teams as they all know what they are doing and do their job very well every week. Remember one of your cata barbs will end up being your attack leader eventually and if they dont know their job they will have major issues leading other catas and attack squads effectively remember major wars are decided by positioning of your catapult not just walking up to the crystal and trying to beat on it while towing a cata.
Defensively you guys try hard but our numbers, levels and experience with full guild pushes (crystal sprints FTW) does tend to make the difference in our meetings.
For TW overall yeah its getting harder to hold our lands each week which is a good thing to be honest the more you guys push us the more I want to improve KD so we can withstand the attacks without TW I would probably have quit the server long ago. So all in all keep working to improve and if you want tips dont be afraid to ask the other big guilds both KD and Kylin have many helpful people who can give TW tips, (both guilds also have many idiots and flamers but if you get past them you will find the information you want).0 -

I'm kinda happy to see KY winning more tw's again! i've been on this server since day one (though my level doesn't represent it QQ) and have seen the rise and fall of many "good" factions in that time. Heavenly, QQme, Crimson, Ethics, Awakening, etc etc. Tbh i think most of the server was a little scared for KY and ultimately the future of TW on the server, but thanks to the power recruiting KY did, the timing of KD drama, the creation on Zulu, plus a bunch of seemlessly small things that added up to make Harshlands what it is at this point, there is still hope to be had. As far as Evoke and experiance goes... i completely agree with Micheal: Evoke is inexperianced and outlevelled (not to mention out number 2-1 last week QQ) However more TW and hopefully more barbs joining evoke will give us a more competitive edge. That being said Evoke is leveling really hard and we'll see how that turns out.

Defending 1K is next to impossible and we never really expected KD to defend tbh.
