    ^ LOL. ... Pie sounds good =(

I just did an extremely fun BH last night on my veno (50) with my veno friend (76) (neither of us have Herc) and a level 30 assassin. She needed trioc for weapon token, I needed it for BH (one of the rare times I bother playing my veno now.. b:sad), and my friend was nice enough to come help cause I had doubts that my rock could tank without better skills lol.

We all died once, but not again =D assassin had to switch to her 7x-8x alts at some points through the cave, but trioc was SO fun -- so close to death so many times, lol, but it woke me the hell up and was much more fun than sitting there wacking things while a 9x+ tanks.

People still do help others, but yeah, BH takes up a lot of times and I've been in some fail squads.. I guess I can't say if the game's changed in terms of peoples' attitudes because I only recently came back, but I still find things somewhat acceptable around now.

    O.o
    ...
well me really never had the problem with people leaving runs only after getting the boss they needed. (occasionally would happen but most had a good reason...say need to do something important in real life, etc etc)
    o.o'
and me personally would state which boss me needed (especially during the old BH system) like...fushma and would choose to stay to help for Wyvern as well.
    b:surrender
so me just going to chalk this one up to one of the traveling horde of mmorpg jumpers who play dozens of them yet still wonder why they hate every single one without realizing it's them that be making their own experience bad.
    b:chuckle
ya.....them traveling hordes do really exist.
    b:surrender
I had this problem few times.

    For example:
    1. Messages at Arch. :
    Someone: BH 51 all bosses
I ask: And Wyvern too ?
I had been invited after that.
    BH started.
After Fushma and Rankar I had to look for new squad, because other players not need Wyvern.

    2.And another one yesteday :
    BH 51 started.
    Cleric had left squad.
    ...

    3. Exclusion from the rules (one per about 30 BHs).
    Someone: BH 51 all bosses
    I : I am in
    Someone: What ?
    I : For Fushma

While above Someone had invited other players, I had killed few mobs in the way to Fushma.
Then yet one player teleported inside and we had killed 4 mobs yet.

    Teleported Someone and other players.

We started to kill walkers and mobs near Fushma.

And Cleric had been killed by the Fushma, while healing BM.

Someone: I had invited krazy Wizard.

Since we had lvl 78 Veno in squad, I gone to entrance to meet Cleric (and to escort him).
Someone: ... (same words with same meaning).
Other players said to Someone that Cleric need escort.

Other bosses was not necessary to me, but I helped squad with Rankar.

Someone (while I was attacking mobs and walkers on the way to Wyvern): Cleric not heal Wizard. Let him die.

I could heal myself and have good armor, so healing of Cleric is not necessary for me and I had not died.

Someone: Wizard must stay and wait while other start to kill mob and then attack.
Our squad killed yet few mobs.
Someone: You need to learn how to play Wizard.
    Someone: You not smart Wizard.
    Someone: You are crazy.

    I left squad.

Someone (his real nick is not necessary here) is now in my Blacklist.

    Edit:
    My character Wizard level 65.

No, really. What happened to it?

The general "community" sort of spirit that was around before all this Raging Tide fiasco was nice. Yes, it wasn't the best and it wasn't the most noticeable, but it was there. Before the new BH system, before the expansion.

For example. The old BH. I remember that when it first started it was all the rage, and then people settled into it. People who didn't necessarily need the bosses would help you with them, because they could and they liked to. Random squads weren't such epic failures filled with oracle noobs.
For example, my veno's BH39 today wasn't even really a BH.

Joined a squad with a 53 veno and 59 psychic. All good. I go to start clearing since both of them are advertising, and check my friends list. An archer joins. Nice, nice. Then, suddenly within five minutes, the archer and veno ditch for a new squad. Well hey, it happens... We get a 69 veno join the squad. She then invites a 53 BM and another 70 Herc veno. We then get a cleric. S'all good, squad's sorted and the first few caves are already cleared. Then... it starts.

The BM begins to demand buffs. Repeatedly. He's like a broken record, demanding buffs without a please in sight every few seconds. What's funny is that the cleric is nowhere near him (cleric joined late and had a way to run) and he won't wait for the cleric either. "Buff buff buff I need buffffffffs". Eventually, the rest of the squad wait for the cleric to catch up, and he buffs them. Does this BM give a thank you after his obnoxious demanding for buffs? Of course not.

The rest of the BH up until first boss Farren goes quite nicely. Herc veno points out a Herc is not a barb and if people spam attacks, it will lose aggro. Understandable warning given the oracle noobs and the attitude of the BM in the squad. Farren goes without a hitch, and.... wait what's this? The two other venos dropped squad? I point out that everybody in this squad excluding the venos is going to need Calcid and Trioc. The Herc veno's response?
"I was only there to help a faction member."
... I'm pretty sure he'll still need the other bosses too, once he turns this one in, I point out. Oh, wait, nope, she was talking about the other veno! A level 69 veno who needed Farren.
Not unheard of I suppose, if you can leave FBs that long you can probably leave a BH that long too... somehow... maybe. I don't know. Either way, I ask if they would kindly stay to help the rest of the squad with the rest of the BH. The response?
    "Idc"

Before the expansion, sale of oracles and other things, the game was hardly ever like this. Yes, a few people had a bad tendency to "use and abuse" squads - but it was far rarer than it is today. People had the nice habit of a please and thank you when asking for and getting buffs. And many people I remember were nice enough to stay for a full dungeon run, regardless of if they needed the bosses or not, because it was generally a nice thing to do and everybody appreciated it. (I also had the habit of sometimes paying these people for their help, because I certainly appreciated it.)

tl;dr: You shouldn't be so lazy and should read the whole damn thing. That aside, it's kind of sad to see how this game has changed over the course of a few months.

Yes. I agree. I didn't even know what oracles were until two weeks ago. I just don't pay attention to that stuff. I spent the first 63 of my veno's levels helping my faction members. Then I finally did my quests. I had so many. She is now at 66. Got bored, moved to wizard. Same thing, but have mostly focused on manufacturing and learning about the TT gear and gems. I don't get to do many TTs since no one ever wants to do them and they take longer than the time I usually have. I've only done the BHs because all my quests in my list are FF. Trying to lvl and get gear by the time I hit 85 so I'm ready. :)
I'm always overly thankful when someone stays for the bosses they don't need in BHs. And very thankful to the clerics. Lots of TYTYTYTYTTYTYTYTYTYTYTYs. :)

But then again I've been playing since the month after PWI started. I guess that would be October, 2008? Something like that.

Well I pretty much avoid BHs on a daily basis and usually do them when I need that last amount of exp to get the lvlup or someone in my faction needs help for them (sometimes i dont even pick up the BH that is needed in there and just go in for helping them out).

People are more into reaching a high lvl now (without bothering about equips/skills <.<) than enjoying the game. They feel they will enjoy when they reach that high level but sadly thats not the case since theyre lacking in various other departments by then. BHs, Orcales promote more of this and hence you see an increase in people who lack skills in tackling certain kinds of mobs/instances since theyve just skipped through them or always had higher level help. People have literally stopped questing on during the 4x~6x stage. I see so many 7xes with a huge backlog of quests and they kill inferior mobs which provides them with almost 0 learning (you cant learn anything when u kill mobs 10 levels lower than you).

Although there are a lot of helpful people around, you must understand that they cant always be there for helping others. For all you know, the time they came for the BH, they have already been exhausted from doing various other instances, etc.

In the end, you cannot control on how other people react but you can control how you react. Just ignore the bad cases and continue to enjoy the game with the friends youve made in the time youve been here b:victory

Dear OP, in situations like that you know what I do? Since the majority of this game are folk under the age of 18, I being close to one and knowing their psychology, take charge and force them to stay. Usually saying things like "stay in my squad and help everyone or I will track down your IP, come to your house and ______" Works well on daddy's girls and mama's boys quite well. Buying sell-swords is an option too if you're rich.
