well i remember on my old barb back on heavens i leveled mainly in tiger form till i made a mistake in leveling form to level 2, after that my dmg was just so low (and didnt level my non tiger form skills since i was a true form barb :3) that was a long time ago lol think i only got him up to 4X

well im rerolling a barb since im tired of psy lol and im not sure if i wanna do true form only again or stick to normal skills + flesh ream (if i remember right i wasnt a huge fan of the other tiger tree atks)

opinion wise which form works better for pve

    PVE is just kill as fast as u can without die

    so it depends on mob
    -with magic mobs u usually use tiger form, to cancel theyr attacks
    -with physical mobs u can use human (or both to chain aoe and chi)

    btw i use the form that suits better the situation imo...

    until 60 for soloing/squad i didnt needed that much HP, so i had TIGER FORM at 1 (but after 60 u need 3 asap)

    i couldnt tank jewel or krimson, yeah but i went fine with all the others quest and soloing was fast enuf...

    i learned every skill, HUMAN and TIGER to have the most skill available (im nowhere near 79skill yet, even if im 77)

    BTW at level 60, if u can afford SPR/money u have to get:

    TRUE FORM --> maxed
    FLESH REAM --> maxed
    ALACRITY --> 7 or more
    BESTIALRAGE
    BEASTINSPIRATION --> max
    SHAPESHIFT --> maxed
    AXEMASTERY --> max
    ROAR --> max
    TITAN --> max
    INVOKE

    then get SUNDER and others + human

    u focus on being a tank (passive/buff/aggro ecc)

    then u balance ur meatshield with damage skill

    and once u get to a nice level and have experience in your class, u can start notice the effectiveness of us barb

    It all depends on the person. With my barb, though, I personally like fighting in normal form the most, but I like to be able to tank bosses. For this reason, I levelled true form, shapeshifting intensity, and flesh ream every chance I got. I'd put 1 point into a few other tiger skills, but I didn't really spend much in that section. My remaining spirit went into humanoid form skills. I have found it much cheaper to grind in normal form since you kill things a lot quicker; and focusing on humanoid form makes you a much more lethal pvp barb at the same time.

    roar sucks O.o
    and you need your tiger form if you want to tank. if not, just lvl your humanoid skills and do the DD build :) or some new stuff like high dex xD
    the tiger form is in no way for solo pve, the way i see it... its just too slow :S its just for tanking, so yeah.. the dmg might be low but with SS intensity, the phys def is high :)

    I maxed tigerform as soon as I could. I ignored almost all humanoid skills until I was 70+.
    In tigerform you need to level devour and poison fang as soon as you can. With that awesome pdef debuff, the damage difference is only around 20% less damage as tiger.

    More than compensated for by more pdef, more HP and no pots due to sunder! b:dirty

    Aainst magic mobs-> alclarity+devour+normal attacks till dead. Usually within the 9 seconds till they try and cast again, if not interrupt again and repeat.

    Human form just seems so damn expensive with using all those pots.
    When the going gets tough; Get a tank!

    Roar prevents party wipes. So you were saying?

    Tiger is great for grinding. No pots needed, and you can handle magic mobs with ease.

    i have always being a tiger form barb, especially when mobs decided it would be fun to hit my with magic first then swing at me. up until this point, mostly all my humanoid attack skills are lvl 1, except might swing, which is lvl 10, because i like the chance to stun mobs. i have chosen this path, mostly because of the lack of spirit and money to get skills up to date in both forms. since tiger form is more useful, i have decided to go with this.

    i have tiger form at lvl 3 right now, but with current lvl devour, poison fang and axe/hammer mastery, my damage in tiger form isn't really that low. plus, with tiger form, there isn't really a need to use pots when grinding. with a few +mp regen stuff and sunder, i can keep grinding non stop.

    p.s it's also possible for me to use purely tiger form because i don't pvp, to the extend, i don't even have arma at lvl 74

    ya see this is a subject that swings both ways, my old barb was pure tiger with only might swing in the human skill tree lvled past one ...i just found tiger form lvl 2 way too weak in pve but tiger form 1 worked fine heck i tanked chin easily at 4X with 1 7X cleric...hmm my new barbs still pretty low i might play around with him a bit

    btw human form has a def reduction atk like tiger form so devour doesnt really make up for the dmg reduction when u can use penetrate armor-might swing >.< and stun = no dmg

    btw heard people saying tiger gives more def? i guess u mean after u get that later buff turtle or whatever cus pre-buff tiger form by it self just gives +hp/speed -atk >.<

    Actually they mean shapeshift intensity which adds to def while in tiger form. It is a completely separate passive skill, and the pre req for invoke (the turtle skill)

    ya when i got my lil barb alt up to the level requirement i figured that out XD did notice something skill tree description says + phy atk in tiger form bad PW with its pot full of lies lol...strangely enough at lvl 1 though u get a good 75+ more pdef and i didnt notice any difference in damage reduction...it might have been 1 point or 2 less so instead of tankin 20 per hit u took 22 in norm >.< this might be something that shines better at higher lvls

    But i think a barb could skimp by with maxing ream/intensity/ keeping other tiger atks at lvl 1, level devour when u have spare spirit and sticking to mainly normal skills for pvp/ pve- non bosses...ya u might have to use life powder or pot once in a while but you'd prolly lvl a bit faster just my thoughts
