    Okay, lemme try one.

    One day, our beloved Hatsune Miku was bored at home with her friend Rin Kagamine.

    Rin says to Hatsune, "Hey! I got a trick I can show ya!"

    Hatsune replies, "Do tell!"

    Rin sits up and places a leek on the ground. She then covers the leek with a blanket. Finally, she says to Hatsune, "I bet you I can take a bite out of that leek without touching the blanket."

    Hatsune, thinking the feat is obviously impossible, agrees to the bet.

    Rin is able to win, but how?

    And yes, I do love the Vocaloid Brand, for those wondering.

    30 - 3 = 27 - 2 = 25

    Let's look at it another way

    -30 + 3 = -27 <- the total deficit adding the $3 given back.

    -27 + 2 = -25 <- the total deficit after $3 is given back, adding the other 2 from the bellboy.

    this gives the correct number, none of that "29" jibba-jabba

    Methinks this puzzle is meant to confuse people as to where to add and subtract, because by my calculations everything is right.

    Oh, now I understand what would give people issues. It get's easier if you label the deficits with a "-" as if you were keeping an expense sheet. I kinda do that on instinct.
