Just happened 2 times in a row on Raging Tide.

    I believe those are real. I don't understand why players would need to go out of their way to report a player though. Especially if its some random player in some random area. Is it like GMs don't get any of these messages or what?

    No, ive reported a multiclienter, and he didnt apear on a system anouncement.

    NOT JUST NOW xD

    I acutally said to his other player
    "Ya know you can talk'
    and he said
    "Ha you dont get it do you?"
    and i asked
    "You multiclienting?"
    and he said
    "Yea"


    This was a wile ago, i didnt report him just because of this thread xD

    "Player X is cheating! Report his behavior to the GM!" This message appears when a player tries to leave the boundaries of the game. Report em if you want. But, if a message like this appears, and the player is actually cheating in any manner, Im sure the GMs already have a nice record of what he/she has done.

    This. The message will be seen by a GM ingame anyway, so it's not really necessary to report them. The last person that did this in LC got into a GM testing area. :o

    And it's not a normal thing. You won't do it on accident, that's for sure.

    some did before TB was released, I know i ALMOST did. I wasn't trying to get into tb area, but I ws on that line and got lucky.

    No there was another way to get into the tideborn area without that message popping up. Many people did this. I posted a video on the forums, many people posted screenshots but as long as they didnt tell people how to do it they didnt get banned.

    i was told i "wasn't welcome in this community anymore" so i made a new account on proxy and reset my router for the 9th time to change IP to avoid ip ban.....

    It's not the Tideborn area that was the issue, I believe there are other areas.

    When I saw someone doing that, I PMed him to see what he did, and he had immediately logged off. Later I asked him if he got many PMs and he said no because he logged off to avoid them b:chuckle

    not really, i shall explain

    welcome to perfect world lessons 101

    the server jobs are as follows
    patch 1-4 - a website hosted by developers to support the patcher servers allowing for use of the auto-patcher, yes its just a website... with super high speed downloads.
    delivery - connects all the server parts together to allow for easy data transfer between them
    Link 1 - manages your connection to the server and the TCP connection that has to be established and maintained. has 4 processes to it to lessen load.
    Manager - contains anti cheat process and sometimes more GLinks.
    Backup - pretty obvious.
    Database - Game database and Faction controlling process and character uniquename database.
    Game server - each host 3-4 maps and the monsters inside of them
    AU manager - MYSQL account database for entire server.
    Auth - runs logins and checks the mysql database to verify user/pass
    Log - runs the log service which monitors the entire system and keeps logs incase of crashes.
    GM - controls GM actions and the internal website used to control the servers and edit/view characters and turn on double exp etc.
    AUB B - Backup of MYSQL

    ofc here there will be loads of things changed but this is taken from the IT Setup guide for it...

    also thats just a sign im a good teacher.

    It has nothing to do with your description of what everything does. I will have a associates degree in networking in about 2 months, I can just look at the logical topology and understand the entire thing.b:victory
