Overall, I am semi-impressed. The new areas are excellent. great texturing, modeling, etc. The lag was expected (tbh it was less than I expected).
Now for the bad part.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the keybindings. Its great that I can rebind all the windows but come on, only TWO skill bars!? What about all the skills that don't fit onto those 2 bars? Am i supposed to trash them? I'm not a clicker, honestly, I can't see ho w you guys do it.
The whole keybindings thing seems like an afterthought. for me and many others, im sure, this is game breaking stuff. I hope it is resolved soon. b:surrender0 -
MY first impression is i like it. i have a lvl 20 psychic. Skills are great, Merform is awesome.
Only thing i dont like is the "new" armor. When you go to buy armor it still shows the old armor. which on a tideborn looks like a old woman wearing teenager fashion...it just shouldnt happen.0 -

I don't like the new icons or the cartoony graphics, but I'm happy with everything else ^^ I like most of the new mobs, although I'm disappointed at the lack of tame-able ones Seriously, ONE new underwater pet and ONE new flying pet? But, still better than a giant turtle or a **** mermaid/a fox with wings or a bug XD REALLY disappointed that lion turtles aren't tame-able, and confused that those weird wraith guys ARE o_O I thought Wraiths were the things that WEREN'T tame-able. Overall, I'm looking forward to my life as a Lost City Psychic, and soon guild leader.0

I love the starter outfit. ^^ I can probably use it for fashion when I get to higher levels. I didn't even want to replace the pretty skirt with that starter armor.0

no kidding!!! im going to wait a bit, till the mobs (of other players!) thin out a little, before really getting into playing around there. just too much lag....so much so that i failed a couple of quests because i couldnt find a place i was supposed to go to, then, not able to contact the NPC through the crush and lag of all the other players. solid packed wall to wall in both situations.
two things that really bother me is that,
* although you see the sun icon up in the map corner, its so dark everywhere. it makes it so hard to see things in their proper colours, especially the TBs themselves. how can we know that what may look good there doesnt look like a corpse when elsewhere in the game? ....another reason im going to wait: going to get my son to fly my TB out of there, to a place with normal light, where i can see her properly. if the TB never left that area, it wouldnt matter so much. but most of their time will be spend elswhere ingame, so why have the create screen start out lighter, then go to the darkness that covers most of the islands? its not logical to have it so dark their....if the play area were underwater, perhaps it might make sense. but it isnt....
* and the transition art-you know, that you see when entering the game? there are way too many children in this game, like it or not, and especially the female assassin, the art is far too adult. far too much like the Vargas girl pinups and the like. my kids were looking forward to playing the new race, but with the vulgar, immodest costumes on the transistion paintings impossible to avoid while signing in, i do not know if we can permit our children to continue playing PWI at all. good thing we discovered the new races in the other PW company games....at least we have something else to play.Saitada - Sanctuary wrote: »Unfortunatly it seems my Assassin is still in limbo even though I created her first. tideborn are ok but they came at a horrible time. instead of fixing bugs or glitches or the lagg issue that's just been getting worse and worse. or having a normal event. they come out with an expansion and throw oracles in the CS to make a killing off of them . . . . yet again milking players for all they have rather then addressing the issues at hand0

PWI is a Business.
I played some SOE MMO's for a VERY long time and even after more than 9 years there were still bugs from the BETA in the game.
The priority for PWI is to make money. They do this by CS sales and new content etc. Bug fixes generally only happen if the bug itself is breaking game play. Smaller less important bugs are usually just slated as 'fix if we have time'.

Hey PWI, nice job on the expansion! Other than massive lag (but what can you expect with all the new toys to play with?), and me getting lost a LOT (read my siggy, lol), overall, I liked it.
There are a few details that I wouldn't mind seeing changed, such as bringing back the old systems boxes, down in the lower right-hand corner, (somebody else mentioned that, too), as the new ones ARE harder to read/use. Same with the icons for talking with the NPCs. Those blue ones were just fine, but the new smaller tan ones are much harder to see, especially in a crowd.
I created a Psychic and am having a lot of fun playing him! Way to go PWI! b:victoryGo north.... NO Elezara! YOUR OTHER NORTH! Oh Gods you went South!

Personally I love the new content and can't wait to get to a higher level (sadly don't get paid til next friday but meh), sadly the only comp I have might need to be rebuilt due to a virus so I'm gonna fall behind in leveling...
In any case, the only thing I REALLY don't like so far is that there are only 3 TT weapons per new class (lvl 60, 90, and 99), albeit the mold weapons are REALLY nice, especially for the assassins.
As for the people who say the new classes are overpowered, they really aren't, while the assassin may do some great damage they really are just as flimsy as archers, at least that's how they seem to me. As for psy's well I couldn't tell ya mine is still lvl 2.0 -

other then the few bugged quests i am dealing wif i like all the extras.. not just the new classes but the extra quests and items....and a new server isnt that shabby ither...

I just wonder how easy to get the molds for all them..I mean i rarely see molds for under 40s... but mebee i am not looking hard nuff and on Sanctuary.

Personally I bound the 1-9 bars to the numpad and the flip key to the minus key, works like a charm. b:victory

Still, I love my sin to bits, she ranks right up there with my ranger in (censored) when it comes to fun factor. b:pleased0 -

Honestly? Pictures to Graphic for your kids eyes? Do you keep your kids inside? Don't take them shopping? Don't take them to the movies? Don't let them watch T.V?
The Graphical art that is displayed of the characters is not at all vulgar or in anyway obseen. Hell cartoons on Cartoon Network show worse than that for kids shows.
On the other had I am somewhat disappointed in the new classes. Not sure what the Proper build would be for them... I am guessing with Sin - Dex/Str Build just like archer (But even at level 10 seems like you don't do the damage to defeat mods within your level range without using a pot or two) Or even if you go Dex/Str/Vit (say 3/1/1) you are lowering the already **** poor attack power that comes with being able to use a "Dagger" only.
Since when did the assassin become limited to using only the dagger?
What about Swords? Poles? I can understand wanting to keep the class 'One of a kind" in the game of PWI but the limitations of weapons for both tideborn will turn out to be boring in the long run. Considering every class can use multiple weapons vs being stuck to one weapon type.
As for Physics and everyone saying they are over powered? I can't see how so? When I made my Wizard you could stop a mob that was 5-7 levels within your level range before the mob could even get to you, But Not with the Physic. The HP Gain per level for Physic vs Cleric is less which makes this the "Squishiest" class in the game and a definite agro stealer in the future which is going to require alot more players to play barbs to balance it out in the higher levels.
I don't know, this is just my opinions and thoughts. Maybe things will change and everything will get fixed as far as all the Bugs/Graphical Glitches.
Also not sure atm if it was in this thread or another I was sifting through, someone mentioned how nice the new buildings in the TideBorn area were and being able to walk inside. I would love to see this incorporated more throughout the game. Would be nice to go inside a hut or house and sit at a table or lay on a sofa.
Also this is probably off topic and I have seen it posted several times but.. The Binding Charms used to bind items to your character... Why not some Unbinding charms? I made the mistake a few months ago of Binding my Urims Light to my Wizard and well I had missed out on a GREAT! offer for it that I won't list but I coulda bought 3 urims lights with this offer. Yet I couldn't because it was bound for life now... Just suggesting like others have perhaps one day PWE will listen.b:surrender0
