? on good AoE cleric areas

basicly the question is in the topic but thiers alittle more in that. like for instance if you move to fast from the mob while your rounding them up they loose agro from you because your to far away. so i'm asking of 1. good places for a cleric to AoE grind (atm I'm doing orchid petalli's with razor - temp - razor) and 2. what's a good speed and distance to get away from a mob before they decide to just loose agro. is it being to far away (runing to fast) or just a duration of time in which they keep agro on you?

Clerics really cant AoE grind >.<

At lvl 80+ i do butterflies.

All Aoe's Maxed except tempest at lvl 7.
Purify maxed + all heals maxed.

Works like taking candy from a baby.

At your lvl : orchids.

Just fly between em, let em hit you once (at least), keep em gathered, do a razors, goto next bunch, razor again, purify, seek good spot, and start AoEing the **** out of em.

One pull gives me about 15-20 Orchids.

One pull on butterflies = ALL mobs in one AoE. just use a charm (just incase), purify maxed, Aoe skills maxed...and i'm like in a candy shop.

IF :

1. you have purify maxed
2. have your AoE's maxed to your lvl
3. use hp charms
4. very important : KNOW what you're doing.

THEN you (p)own poison mobs(wood).

An 8hr grind will give you a LOT of exp. esp on double WE.

BUT :

1. make sure you use a HP charm.
2. use potions/sesame to keep your mana filled
3. do NOT go over what you can handle
4. purify. over.and over. and over.again. (P = 5+ atleast).

Lastly : being able to say (as a cleric) : "man, i own these silly mobs and i get more exp/hr then a tank in TT/FC" is sooo rewarding.... clerics "O.W.N.". And seriously, that's a fact. I wanna see a tank taking 25+ mobs at once.

Get a BM who knows his class + DECENT cleric. We will show you what AoEing is all about.

djeez....martin, at least read the replies. I gave an example about a cleric and a BM, as far as i know that aint a zhen party....it was an example to state that clerics DO Aoe, well in fact.

1.The best area is the little hill and the road (west side of the village) if you kill petalis.
2.To keep aggro, you have to stop and wait for the mobs in every 30 meters or so and cast an IH. Don't run, fly!

...oh and BM-cleric duo AoE as Alantor mentioned. Try that too, it's fun.

When i posted, i had this page saved while doing other things then a bit later i posted. I didnt see that post of how you AoE Grind, but this is just my opinion is that your going wear your gears down really fast by doing so. Just normal Grinding is better since u wont wear down your gears so fast and makes it less expensive since you might have to buy a charm just so u can AoE Grind. Usually a bm cleric duo is still called aoe grinding not zhen, and the dynamics of the two are very different. Clerics can Aoe grind solo, and i've done it. but honestly for me i prefer to just kill them 1-2 at a time. it's simpler and saves my mana. Though I'm sure if i got better at it it might be more worth it but right now i can only get a little more exp in the time it takes to kill them normally.
bm cleric duos are fun and if you want to aoe grind id recommend this, it's really the best exp for the money as far as i've found. but need to find a bm who knows what he's doing.

then on other notes, if your having trouble gathering your mobs cast ih every once in a while while luring, it's an action and will help you hold there aggro. but imo i think a large problem for cleric aoe grinding is the fact that there really aren't that many good places to do it.

Let me answer you.
Go to the Lost Village, after that head east until you see last group of Hexo's.
You should notice Petaill's also. Now combine it in a long pull (8 Hexo's + 10 Petaill's ) makes a decent pull. It's way better then killing one by one, and with MP orbs its fairly fast.

At lv80+, poison mobs around 1k make a perfect target and there are lots of them. Just watch for the MP drain >_>;;

Oh yeah.
Pro tip....avoid butterfly's at all cost, even when it was 2xdrop rate repair/gain ratio was utterly low.
If you want air mobs with good exp/drops i suggest the Blood birds south of City of The Lost and pick the one by one. Yes its slow but much better then 1h on Butterfly AoE grind >_<!!

Poison does not cause any damage to your gear. Try it for yourself. Stand next to a poison mob healing yourself for 10 minutes and go check your repair bill.

In fact, grinding the mobs 1 by 1 would wear out your gear faster because of more attacks per mob being used = more damage on your weapon. But yeah, good luck with that. b:bye

are you joking, zhen is soo expensive for the cleric.b:surrender keeping up a constant bb. lose alot of money. If you really need exp. try doing FF runs, being a cleric you can start mid to late 70's and gives great exp.

Dazzlewings were my favorite with that event when I was a few levels lower. Not only was it nice exp, they also drop glaze. And them spawning near each other can be annoying, but at worst you'll only pull 3-4 mobs when you're picking up your drops. I don't understand how your repair/gain ratio can be so low though.. I made at least 300k+ profit from the DQ items alone after repairing..

the only problem is occasionally BB would aggro some and they wouldn't run into me DB range.
