Well here is my opinion. Blademasters were always pushed aside by barbs at first because Barbs can tank. But what I realised is, why can;t a bm, they have physical defence buff. So just cause they don;t have a barb buff doesn;t mean bms suck. Now that this issue is over, we got assassins now attacking bms. WHY IS EVERYONE ATTACKING US......Is it cause we have sexy hair or we have amazing moves like Heavens Flame b:sin I love you smexy dragons of hell

Assassins aren't out yet. They might suck so much that bms are constantly 1 shotting them and they never get a squad and jaden qingfus spit in their eyes. Who knows? No point complaining until they're out.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i dont see why people think their BMs will become obsolete. youre still the same old support melee class we'll always love or hate. assassins are just going to compete with you and archers for that DD spot lol[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
advice to fledgling archers:

I doubt Assassins will effect the role of Blademasters.
Having an Assassin is just a casualty, they'll have a hard time finding a party. Everyone wants Clerics and Barbs, Venos are the second pick for luring and will easily find parties with a Herc, Blademasters kind of come right after that (I've been in parties where the Blademaster tanks many, many times), and then Wizards and Archers are kind of cast aside.
Thing is, Assassins don't really have any function in a group besides heavy damage dealing, and this can be adequately achieved by wizards (best of all), blademasters, and to a extent venos and archers.
In short, Assassins are going to have a hard time finding groups. As much as wizards and archers, if not moreso.0 -

Can't say I agree with this. Usually, a party will have 1 Cleric and 1 Barb. That leaves 4 spaces. Venos are actually the class I party with least, unless it's for a BH within the Wraithgate. BMs, I party with about as often as other archers, and Wizards being the class I see least.
The way I see it, Assassin's will have their place in squads, similar to BMs, because they have sleep and stun skills, as well as HP Drain skills, etc.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

if i need to make a choise for delta squad..rainbow or 2 bm/archer/wiz/barb/cleric squad....ill take the 2 other class squad rather than rainbow....any1 can replace veno in delta and actually do better in there!2 barbs -->> better agro control! 2 bm's -->> better stun locking! 2 wiz/archer -->> mobs and bosses die way faster! 2 clerics -->> gotta luuuuv 2 BB's!b:thanks0 -

Probably. As someone said up there, you have a Cleric and a Barbarian, and the other four spots are pretty much fair game.0 -
Eh, BMs are QQing over the assassin and venos seem to QQ over the psychic. New classes will always take away from the value of the old classes. Just like new money takes away from the value of existing money. But why are people so worried? How often do you see a 6 person party consisting of exactly one of each already existing class? I've been in a 1 cleric 5 bm bh party before. Wasn't exactly the greatest since they didn't want to work out who would be the tank and kept juggling agro amongst them as their lucky crits and sparks brought them attention.0

When you get to higher levels you make squads of whatever you can get, lol. Did an Eden run a short while ago without any BM or Barb. We often do FB99s and HH3-2/3-3 without a barb, and so on. You don't -need- any class other than clerics, and even those aren't always needed... I've solo healed BH79s and 89s at 9x.Wondering how much longer these **** packs are going to be around.0

assassin in party is not that good if we rate **** we get 2* in party 3* solo grinding at high lvls 1* at low lvls 5*at pvp or pk 5* player skills
then no cleric would like a squishy mele under any boss yah they get alot of eve but lets get real under a boss eve wont help u alot their an archer or a wiz will be much better cuz they attack from range

Sin's ain't even here yet and ya'll have no clue how they are going to work. There is no need to speculate because right now, all your doing is blowing air up your own backsides while you do it.
Give the Sin's and Psyches a few months and then start discussing them. At least then you will have a basis for your conversation due to having experienced the class whereas now all you have is air whistling between your lips full of nothing but what ifs.

Im not overly worried about sins. im a dex BM with 1.69 atk rate who stole aggro from a 88 pure tank barb and tanked Cenequus. thats with 4.3k unbuffed HP and 1 cleric.
Assassins are only a mystery, we wont know their strengths and weaknesses until the 16th. u never know, they might need 2str 3 dex each lvl, making them essentially weaker than archers. we can only wait...
You know what? why should BM's QQ over this topic? we are the most versatile class in PWI, with 4 weapon paths, the most aoes, good range skills, mag cancels, marrows, what else can i add? we are unique, whatever build we choose. No QQing, we are all strong.

Congratulations, you are the third or fourth person to start a thread debating on whether Assassins will take over for the BMs.
1. They aren't out yet, stop your QQing over "what if"s and just wait like the rest of us
2. When they come out, how about we follow the less QQ more pew pew principle? Rather than whining they will replace you, start bucking up your ideas and doing things to make sure they won't. Be a respectable BM rather than some fool who charges into a room, aggros all the mobs and dies and then asks "why does that happen?" Get yourself ready to murder 'Sins in PVP. Be productive.
Personally, I believe Assassins will replace all you whiny BMs out there complaining about them, and the won't replace the BMs who actually play their class well and don't give a **** about whether they get replaced or not. Because they're good enough to still be wanted.
