Making money is hard in this game? Wrong

So, let me introduce myself. I'm Kupuntu, lvl 42 BM. Some of you might know me from the forums or in-game. Many ppl say that making money is hard. I think not. I have two characters: lvl 42 BM and a lvl 41 veno in the Sanctuary server as my sig says. The things I have NOT done for my money:

- grinded for money, 95% mobs killed have been for quests.
- farmed mats for money more than what I've seen when questing
- used cashshop or bought zen
- scammed ppl
- took donations (expect for one flawless cit, it was dropped by some quitter in Plume)

So, now I have plenty of money. I can't remeber for sure (can't login now) so here are the things I remember:

coins: 300k in my BM and 700k in my veno
weapons: 100k for ***Bloodstained Battle Scythe and 1mil (?) for sharded Mirage Sword
armor and other equipment: nothing special, just some legendary rings for the total of 100k
fashion: chain boots and pants, around 450k and 850k
aerogear: normal ones and Blood Mist around 1,5mil
tomes: Retribution's flame is lvl 1 mag tome, around 2mil
chi stones: worth 1.5 mil or something (1k perfect stones and other stones around 300k-500k)
herbs and mats: around 500k-800k
other: oracle IX's, 8 of them, 60k-80k each, 480k-640k total

Total worth: At best, 10mil but I'd say it's closer to 6mil-8mil if I sold all.

I have played this game for countless hours, just like most of you. Instead of levels, I have gotten plenty of money. I used to resell teles, but then that business dried out, so to say. I know this amount of money is nothing compared to higher levels, but most of the ppl around my level don't have this much money. Say what you say, but this is an easy game to get money on. Now, comments? (This is not a bragging post by any means.)

Ok, so my question is, you don't grind, farm, cash shop. How are you making your money? Not merchandising?

Personally I think your post is kinda pointless given the fact that you are only speaking from the lvl40s. You really don't need a lot of money then, so it is easy to accumulate. Get to 80+ and then tell us (still using whatever method that you are, which I cannot fathom) that getting money is easy. TT90 gear, shards, socket stones, I am looking at easily 80mil. Thats a hell of a lot of grinding/farming or a few hundred in the cash shop.

Holy ****! I got friggin ninjaed by like 3 or 4 people. I didn't take that long to write my post! lol

He said he didn't scam people.

At level 43 as a veno, my only char, I had enough money to get full legendery gear and a phoenix (20m~ back then). I got my herc at lvl 63.

Spent a total $20 on pwi, rest is grind/farm/tt money - making cash in pwi is not hard at all.

These days I make money by reselling tokens.

Buying low and selling high IS scamming. You are scamming players by buying things that others would need but now can't afford because you bought it just to sell it for more.

YOU WON'T EVEN PAY YOUR OWN PRICES, WHY SHOULD ANYONE ELSE?!

So, if somebody sells 2mil tome for 10k, it's not okay to buy it? And remember this: I always sell things for their real worth, never higher. Let's put it this way: I see a tome going for 10k, and it's real worth is 2mil, ofc I resell it for 2mil. It's not scamming to sell things for the prices they're worth. When somebody buys something for cheap, and sells it away when they don't need it anymore, they will sell it at the price it's worth. Why I shouldn't be allowed to that too?

Okay, let me explain this. I compared some TT, leg and *** items at the same level. I'll show you some links:

    TT60 pole: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/14839 attack is 407-679 +56.
***Silver Carp Scythe lvl 62: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/4548 attack is 319-661

You could probably do it with that, and you would still have money to refine it closer to the TT wep. Not sure tho.

Mhmmm, what your saying is necessarily not untrue, but for some people, its just harder to make money.

Like me, its nearly impossible for me to have any money on me ever. People who know me usually see me with less than 500k for sure since I waste it all on my skills since I'm kind of behind.

But if I do work hard, I can make money fast. However, just because you can make money doesn't mean that everyone else can. Sure, you can tell them try and you will. Although trying isn't always going to work i can promise you.

    I lol'd... coinage advice from someone who hasn't been in a fb51 b:laugh

    Simple truths:
1.) the higher your toon's level, the more coins-per-hour you are able to accrue
-to OP: based on the numbers in your post, I make more than your gross value in 3-4 hours... I don't spend countless hours in game because I spent my time efficiently.
2.) Buy low & resell only works when you have a huge amount of coinage to begin with (unless you're taking big gambles).
-If you're into playing the market (at the moment my 2nd favorite part of this game), the best way to do is to invest $20-30 in the game during a big sale and start from there (otherwise the time spent vending & flipping is just ridiculous).

You have to start somewhere, i had a friend who invested 2mil a while back and they were able to make enough money to match cash shoppers.
Sins are Scissors. Psychics are Rocks.
Archers, Venos, Barbs, Wizards, BMs, Mystics, Seekers are Paper.
    ...and Clerics are Mushrooms.
Paper beats Rock. Scissors beats Paper. Scissors also happens to beat Rock...until Rock gets 50k+ soulforce at which point Rock becomes an unstoppable killing machine that beats Paper... and would beat Scissors but it can't find Scissors, because Scissors are invisible.
So Scissors beat Paper and avoids Rock, and that is called BALANCE. -cheze

Mhmmm true. I just meant people who just put their money into the game, sell for high prices and get a profit just like that instead of working up for most of their money.

o? where can you find 3stars that berserk? not very common even though i've seen it. what about gloom? purge? there's a reason higher levels don't stick with 3stars, as cheap as they are. TT weapons far outshine at higher than TT60. TT60 is more or less a 3star with +attack attribute (which is also why they're so cheap).

get to TT90, the gap in base damage alone is significant

    Blinding Radiance: 670-1562
    3* Falling Phoenix Crossbow: 643-1499

Not to mention Blinding Radiance's added attributes: +dex, +crit, +damage, convenient and effective attributes to be found on an archer weapon. How are you matching that with a 3star?

TT60 is like....500k....(not exact price but...TT60 is really cheap)
mine cost me 44k only b:chuckle.
yea....and you don't bother to realize TT gear can be decomposed to create higher level TT gear....
3 stars can't so unless you wish to be horribly weak at higher levels....you would probably get a TT or legendary weapon early on and just upgrade as you level.

    LOL

    tl;dr

Who cares what all your stuff is worth. What would you do if you sold all your gear LOL. If i sold all my gear i'd have 500 mil +, i dont really know tbh. The fact is, money has been harder to make the past few months. I can go into reasons why but i dont feel like explaining.

Also, 5-6 mil isn't alot of money at all. That's pocket change i store on my storage alt's alt.
