Clerics Should be Faster

This thread is already in Class Discussion-Clerics, but some ppl ask to be nice in general discussion. So i decide to add it here 2, to c what other ppl/class thinks about it.

Maybe this topic is already around but still is something we all clerics need.

Clerics Should be a Little faster...

If PWI developers are taking so much time creating new races, new quests, genies skills, new items.. etc. Why they can't take a little time and increase the speed of clerics?

Is good that each class is different from each other but make some one super slow is stupid. Probably i will say that at least 80% of clerics are having trouble with their speed in dungeons, it doesn't matter if u use Speed Pills or genie skills, there is always a time where you become slower and everyone pass over you and left you behind. Like when you crazy barb decides to run like mad crazy directly into mobs/boss and start attacking and 10 seconds later start crying for heal while you are 30sec-1min away from him. Or when your Full Squad decides to attack different mobs and you are not around, because you are left behind.

This are some samples that clerics suffer in this BH times, where they are been called 3-4 times a day.

So please Devs of pwi, make us faster plz. If a cleric is faster, bh/fb/dungeon can be done in less time.

*Note: This topic mainly purpose is talk about the speed of clerics, NOT the crazy barb/squad that run atk everything and then they QQ. Thx

Clerics already have a movement buff that applies to flying. Clerics also have a speed buff skill (even though its level 79...), and they can use genie skills as well. You can also get gear with +m/s bonuses to make up for the speed.

That said, I really do not care either way.

Quilue - Sanctuary

other classes are more innately mobile than clerics. bms get cloud sprint and will of bodhi; wizards get dist shrink (25m at lvl 10 jeez), barbs get trueform (10m/s sage w/ archer buff rawr), venos get summer sprint...

for the record, flight mastery only works with the white elven wings.

guardian light takes a spark and has a 5min cooldown, i wouldn't call that practical by any means.

That only works for normal wings which in the end is just a waste of money and SP.

Voted yes for this idea, i hate having 4.8 m as speed....... it really is anoying, plus we're ->supposed<- to be the runners on this game arent we lol

Clerics get majorly screwed with speed skills. You cant fly in dungeons, and guardian light is one of the most useless skills that PW ever created.

Sorry Jazmin, but since everyone else got to the flight mastery and speed buff, I guess I'll take the equips. Not everyone can get a hold of speed boosting gear. It's nearly impossible to craft into gear you make, and molds that have this boost are either very rare (those that drop from bosses), very expensive (dq stuff), or both (bought from players). It's too much to expect players at low to mid levels to have enough coins to afford one, and (if I can trust people enough people on these forums in this) at high levels, -channeling% seems to be in higher demand than speed boosting gear. There's a reason why you don't see many clerics decked out in speed boosting gear. It's not as practical as it might seem to be.

And everyone can use genie skills, so if everyone in a party has a genie speed boost (not sure why this would happen, I admit, but it's a possibility), it doesn't really help much.

I also voted yes to this idea, but like so much else along these lines, I feel there are other things that take priority (bug fixes anyone?), so it's just the normal 'yes' for me.

Nothing to be sorry about.

However on the gear, you are not correct at all. There are lots of items that have +speed and they are usualy dirt cheap.
Quite a bit of TT gear has +speed, and the molds with +speed are not that expensive either.

Obviously all character would be able to use those items, so the cleric could still be the slowest. However that does not mean that you cannot get +0.7m/s speed bonus without spending alot. You will spend more once you talking TT gear, or some of the Molds, but you would not be getting those only for the speed bonus.

But in fb's or in TT's we don't have a movement to help us get to some if they need healing so i think they should move faster.

You're optimistic. Today helping with someone else's BH I could barely get them to stop for squad buffs, let alone slow down to help me catch up.

One of the reasons I enjoy having a wizard in party is knowing that they'll more or less (unless they holy path) be at the same disadvantage I am and I won't be COMPLETELY left behind. b:chuckle

In the FB / TT / BHs I go on pretty much everyone uses holy path constantly and plenty of times clerics go zooming past me.

I'm gonna tell you right now, Guardian's Light is an amazing skill. 10 seconds of 60% less damage is pretty useful when the cleric gets aggro off a mob in an instance.

i know i walk/run slow. The other lvl 100s know i run slow. If i see them attack before i come and they know its gonna tick their charm severely if i dont come,................i take my time b:pleased If those pple are willing to provide me charger orbs, sure ill use em for u. If not, it wont kill them to wait 10sec. (unless i see friends dying >.>;)

ABSOLUTLY clerics need to run faster! my cleric is always the slowest of any squad, even with HP and pills. its scary and dangerous, and if i cant keep up with the squad, how can i take care of them?

I voted yes. Who doesn't want to run faster? But really, it's not that big of an issue... If your party leaves you behind and starts attacking stuff and gets wiped before you catch up, it's their fault not yours.

HA! its a rare squad that stays togther! almost every one i have been on, cleric or veno, is always in such a freaking hurry that they go as fast as they can, or in all directions. and i dont have the big aoe healing moves yet, so its hard to nail everyone as much as they need. and i hate bucketing the bilge for their dying when they insist on not staying together

People learn to stay together REAL fast when the party wipes due to their impatience, you show up walking, take out the mobs that wiped all of them so as to create a safe environment to stand up...then sit on one of their faces as you meditate to regain MP. b:victory
