But nooooooooo my parents have to be Princeton/Harvard/Yale alumni's and they will pay the full tuition for any Ivy League but if I don't go to an Ivy League, they won't pay for college at all Q____Q.

Lol iunno how university works in the states but in Canada anyone can qualify for a scholarship. I jsut don't cuz i never really tried in school; and my teachers were really stingy with marks.

And @ Hope, there's lots and lots, and lots of scholarships out there. Many of them have absolutely nothing to do with income level (that's more tied to financial aid than scholarships). There's lots of them for good grades, plenty for being in community service clubs, and more than I can count for athletics and music. Try at sites like this, this. There's a lot more out there as well. But you still have a few years to go still. You can start by getting your first job now. It won't be a very good job (mine was cleaning a small ice cream stand. didn't even get to serve the ice cream), but it'll be something.

And remember, most scholarships are merit based, not income based. Good luck. b:victory

Just be careful when filling those out. There may be a few in there that are based on income levels. And if your parents are rich, you might have some trouble getting financial aid, which may be what your parents were talking about. Good luck with it, and you might also have to wait until 12th grade to fill some of them out. Depends on the scholarship. Some of them might have a time limit to which they can be used in should you get them. Just check them out and see what the rules for it are before filling them out and you'll do just fine.

And, I just thought of a backup plan should you not get enough scholarships when the time comes. Your parents are just paying the tuition for the ivy league college, right? Well, who said that going into one of these means you have to go into law or med majors? They also have art and music majors. So, you just go into one of these fun programs should it become necessary to do so. But, like I said, for what you want to do (something fashion related I assume), you should try for scholarships, and don't forget to start saving up money on your own in the mean time. Good luck!
