I apologise I didn't realise there was a poll in a thread I merged here. Please don't eat Spoons >.<[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

if you make it 100k then you can get 6 oracle IIs and get 90k exp. do we really want it to be almost a 1/1 ratio between money and exp? you're gonna get the richest people at the highest levels continuing to skyrocket upwards. it's not just the economy that we have to be worried about, really - these packs are letting people with money cruise through the game so much easier; not just because they can afford the best armor and weapons as it's been in the past, but now because they can get 15,000 exp every thirty seconds.0

i think the gm's should consider this thing again since there are more and more people complaining over this. (im not saying they didnt, but still)
people will keep complaining. And deep I kno this is gonna last a whileMy brain is not damaged.. just in need of some repair0 -
Funny how some players that said the packs killed PW, and how they make the game unfair were tripping over themselves at the thought of packs at 100k coins ingame.....
Not to mention people claiming in one post how packs are evil and they should be 5 gold each, so the rich people get "messed with", and 4 posts later says packs at 100k are a great idea....
There is no way anyone will ever take the complaining serious with stuff like that going on.....
The little poll "incident" really showed that the players dont like the packs when they have to compete with other to buy them at higher gold prices, but will find all sorts of excuses for the packs to be a great idea as long as they are cheap. And yes, "great idea if they sell at 100k, so they lower the price of gold" is just a lame excuse for accepting packs that provide, according to most people complaining "end-game" gear.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. A sale on anniversary packs? Lets say starting tomorrow or something, all anniversary packs are 20% off for one week. That would let more people get their endgame gear and equal out the playing field.0
-
What I want to know is when are the packs going to be removed. I checked the announcment, it said November. What does that tell us? That could be anything, it could be November 12th, it could be November 30th, hell for all we know it could be November 2010.
I would like a REAL date0 -

Perhaps an "Official" poll is in order then...would make sense mods and gms have the ability to see from what IP addy and accts people are posting from..use ur GM/Mod powers for good put up a poll that will yield actual results on peoples feelings about the anni packs, the results may be shocking and eye opening for people at corporate headquarters that is if they are remotely interested in the player bases feelings and opinions.0 -
Packs in-game would destroy the economy to the point where everything would be so cheap that no one would make $$ and therefore no one would get there skills upgraded and the like.
I think people want these packs in-game because they want something for nothing. Be thankful some did spend as much as they did on the game so many could play for free.
This entire discussion is sickening to me. IF packs became an NPC time.....I do not know...I think it would destroy the game more so then having these in the Cash Shop.
PS --> THE GM'S DO NOT MAKE THE DECISION ON PUT THESE IN THE GAME!! OMG....I am sick of hearing this. Blame the RIGHT people. I am out of this discussion, people just make this too insane of a deal and talk about people being greedy with the cs and now those same ones are being greedy by wanting them in-game all of a sudden.
As long as one benefits, one is ok with the packs. So having them in-game at a low price and people would be happy? Just ridiculous....
Edit --> Ice beat me too it but I agree!![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

The packs will never be in game item, this was brought up by tons of user as soon as the packs were initially released and nothing has changed regarding the packs. And if they were, 100k? You got to be kidding?! End game equipment for 100k?! The packs were only supposed to be here one month "Anniversary", I have no clue why they have been allowed to stay this long...change the name of the item![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Due to what they yield, and how rare it is. Why do a sale? Why not just put them at 50 silver or better yet, do like the celestone boxes and put them at 25 silver.
At least then, everyone participating in it would have a better chance at getting end game gears. That way everyone would have them and they will no longer be rare.. oh wait... they arent already. Ok well then the price of them would go down.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I don't even dislike the packs, at all. I have absolutely no problem, except for one.
They raise the gold prices to absurd levels. 2mil+ for a charm is normal now, meaning your average player (me) goes charmless. And that sucks if I ever want to do some real PvP outside of running around playing stupid little games at west gate. Dragon orbs are ridiculous, making a weapon past +3 unthinkable for the average player (again, me)
But I think putting them in the NPC for 100k is ridiculous. With the best luck tokens it would be insane.
My idea? Put them in the NPC's for 600k (How much people are paying for them now)
This way the coins get taken from the economy and the gold price can lower, in fact, gold sellers will want to buy them, so they will probably compete with each other as to who can sell gold for the lowest.
But hey, what do I know?

Everyone always talks about leveling the playing field by changing how anniversary packs are bought. I dont think the devs or the gms care about making the game even for everyone, it is a f2p game after all[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
-
In total, I've bought 3 aniv pakcs on the first day they were introduced just to see what all the fuss was about. I thought it was a clever little gimmick and didnt really give a damn about it til i went to gold trading in ah and saw gold was over 500k.
It's been stated earlier that the majority of PWI does not buy aniv packs. I'm pissed because I can't afford my nix with in game coins now. Where it used to be 20 mil, its over 100 mil atm. Bronze charms sell for 500 k, tomes lvl 3+ are now impossible to get unless you spend 100 mil and get one of the aniv ones.
And yes i DO think its unfair that endgame gear can be bought instead of earned. Frostcovered gear weapons take over 300 runs to attain. Can't imagine how long lunar glade must be.
The game HAS gone to hell. And in regards to the poll, I was the only one that voted aniv packs be 300k+0 -

I don't mind even if they make them a mil each... Just get them out of the boutique so other boutique items have normal prizes again...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i think what he meant was, if they're at npcs selling for 600k each, and removed from the boutique, everything else affected by the boutique such as charms would be lowered again.
but the whole point of anniv packs would be gone amirite? no one's buying them with real money what?Elena Costel: I wash my hands of this affair.

What are you talking about? OF COURSE gold would depreciate. There would be less coins in the economy leading to a deflation. The CS demand would be less because as was stated previously, only a small percentage of players are spending god awful amounts of money on these packs. With them not buying gold, demand declines. Gold gets cheaper. Economics 1010 -

If they made the items available on a NPC, you could be sure they would also be available in the cash shop....
And making the item 1mil at the NPC, guess what that would do to the price of gold...Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Why is gold 600kea now? Because of the demand, but it's not the demand for charms, dolls, fashion that raises the prices that high. It's the demand for anniversary packs, chance to get end game gear? A ridiculously overpowered tome? A chance to get a token worth 5mil? Of course there is demand for these things and that is why people are buying packs at these prices.
Now imagine there was an NPC selling anniversary packs for 600k ok? Now ALL the demand to buy these is removed from the cash shop. Not only that but people who spend money for these packs will now sell their gold over the auction house in order to get coins to buy the packs from the NPC. This means that there will be a large amount of gold sellers, AKA, supply.
Now remember, anniversary packs are no longer in the boutique OK (in this hypothetical model) So now all the people who were buying these with coins, now no longer have a need to buy gold. Need to buy gold = demand.
So in summary, Less Demand, More Supply = Lower gold prices.

you're right. And if the gm's cant change this, then they cant. Just do something with the feedback thats been given.
Seen lots of suggestions, one should be able to this stuff riteMy brain is not damaged.. just in need of some repair0 -
I am sure if the packs were made available at an NPC, they would still stay as a cash shop item. Even on that poll was never stated that the packs would not longer be sold in CS, it only asked about adding a NPC that sold the items.
They were the most successful sale item in history of PW, and you think they would just make them free????

Oh I'm sure they would stay in the boutique, I'm just saying that IF they were removed from the boutique and an NPC sold them for 600kea then the gold prices would go down and it would help the in game economy immensly.0

I like the idea of 100K game coin or similar ....maybe run it like Jolly Jones events are done.
Choice to buy or not to buy seems to be taken away from us.......in order to stay competive in armour gear etc....must buy packs pray for win. If you don't win ok get packs sell them high ......or buy gold at high price, then pay high for item you need to get.
Can't even buy some skill books below 50ML ..........I shake my head wonder where will this game end up.
Yes I buy the packs and shall continue to do so but will I pay High for stuff nope do I sell overly high .....nope I still sell charms if I have to spare for 500/600k.
It greed of people ruining the game not the GM's who are just finding away to pay the salary's like good buisness men and women do.
So GM's give some consideration if your intent is to keep it in the game sell it at a NPC not boutique so all can afford and buy make it even ground for everyone.
Force the Greed of so many to stop then more will play the game and return.
A special event should be just that special ................0 -
If NPC sold something worth exactly 1 gold for 600k, gold prices would then remain at about 600k. Why would anybody buy an item from NPC for 600k when they can buy 1 gold cheaper? And why would anybody sell 1 gold for less when they could easily get 600k instead?
Edit: And I did read the entire post. You contradicted yourself by saying you are sure they would remain in the boutique, as they would be stupid from a financial standpoint to remove them.
First...don't buddy me, buddy. More on topic, why even consider hypothetical? The devs will decide what will happen with little or no consideration to the players' input as it seems. All we can hope for is that the GM's are able to give us some info as they get it.
That's all from me. Back to simply rechecking this every so often for a GM update.0 -

IF they were to do that, they might as well, make this a advertisement supported game, and have banners on the game with advertisements.
At that point they could make every single item in CS also available from a NPC.
The all thing is, the right answer should always be NO, take the packs away, since, no matter how you do it, they will unbalance the economy, and specialy NEVER make them available in game, since that would just flood the game with coins. High gold prices would be your last worry, when even a klunky sword would be selling for 10million.
And gold prices would actualy not go down in the long run, since the market would get flooded with coins, therefore gold would actualy go way pass the 600k mark. Very short term, gold may drop, but it would quickly go pass the 600k mark.Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Like I said before, if they REMOVED anniversary packs from the boutique and added them to an NPC who sold them for 600kea then the gold price would plummet and the economy would get a HUGE coin sink, what is just what it needs.
But thanks for showing you know how to read an entire post buddyIF they were to do that, they might as well, make this a advertisement supported game, and have banners on the game with advertisements.

Why? There is still a significant demand for charms, guardian scroll, and dragon orbs, it would just relieve a lot of the demand from the boutique while increasing the supply.
We still need Dragon Orbs, We still need Charms, And we still need dolls. It's just that if they were to remove anniversary packs from the boutique and put them at an NPC for the current gold price then the gold price would go down and the economy would get a good coin drain.
The Zen Chargers would still be charging zen for anniversary packs, it's just rather than charge gold and use it directly on the packs they would sell the gold and use the money from that to buy packs.
Oh and @ gwynedd of course they would remain in the boutique because the idea of even losing a single penny in order to make the fanbase happy makes no sense to the developers, I was speaking from a HYPOTHETICAL standpoint0 -
How long are these anni packs going to last? Looks like another month has come and they still sit in the cash shop. Make your predictions when the madness will end b:shocked and get a cookie![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0
