I hope PW NEVER, EVER, changes the untammed race, including the true form. It is one of the few things in the game that retains a direct link to chinese history and mythology.

True form is a white tiger because the white tiger is the king of all animals. Is the strongest and most powerful, and it would guard the graves of noble heroic generals. In times of war, the white tiger would help the armies against their enemies.

The fox is the the true form for venos (the name veno is a misstranslation, same as barbarian) because that is what they were. Beautiful women that preyed on lonely travelers souls, and were able to talk with other animals. When they were not in the human form as a beautiful young woman, they would turn into foxes and disapear into the forest.

Please, leave the untammed alone. Go find some other cause to fight for, like having PW fix the bugs.

Chinese mythology in honor, but for example a panda who turns into a tiger is just... illogical

This, although I do agree with you. It is not like we are removing the white tiger, just adding to it.

Ok, two things I caught in that text: 1)Kirin? So what, the giant Kirin rides we have are what? Dragons, right? So if their white tigers where so important, then why are the Kirins dragons instead? 2)Metal? So if the tigers should have the metal element, then why is it that the winged elves have this element instead? Shouldn't the winged elves be associated with the fire element since they fly and so do phoenixes, which are also the holders of the South? And then shouldn't humans be water since they live in the North? Players shouldn't even have the wood element then, since Archosaur is in the East and there are no starter cities there. Oh, and now with the Tideborns, shouldn't THEY be fire since they now hold the South or something?

And of course, the basic teachings of Buddhism, where you're taught to not be obsessive with earning material things *cough*money*cough*, and also how you're supposed to always take other people's ideas into consideration. Not to mention that the whole point of the game runs down a big teaching in their culture: pacifism. If you don't know what that means, google it. the whole point of this game is to kill monsters and become stronger right? Ask any real Buddhist and he'd tell you that killing this is against their religion/culture(like most), let alone killing to gain personal things.

In the end, this giant speech that wasn't meant to be this big, is summed down to this: If they've twisted the culture/mythology this much already, then it wouldn't hurt to change it a little more, especially if this twisting it bringing in just a little more of the mythology. Wolves, rabbits, pandas, deer, lions, and cats are all part of the ancient Chinese mythology. If you've brought in a small part of the animal part of their mythology, then you should bring it all in

The fact the tiger and fox both have deep symbols in china, will probably mean they will never consider this - plus the fact the devs are lazy as hell anyway. Doesn't look like much hope.

How about removing the panda/wolf etc.. and giving some more customization options to the barbs?
