means its a good game that doesnt lean toward one huge aspect. Think of it as a pillar sustaining a building. A good game has more enjoyable aspects (pillars) to support the customers (body of building). If one pillar (aspect of game) goes down due to natural causes of time, or in PWIs case sales or whatever, then the community (building) will still be standing sturdy if the game has multiple things to enjoy.
Altho P2P and F2P are diff. in the amount of work they could dish out, PWI hasnt dished out all of what they have compared to their chinese counterpart. And from looking at the chinese sites, its definitely worth a wait.

A good 1/3 of the pple who came from PvP games on another P2P MMO i did, (yes i realize its diff. from F2P but the concept still stands) ONLY looked into lvling fast and PvP instances. They never looked to being a crafter, never looked at really exploring the world, never tried multiple mini activities, never had goals to upgrade their endgame skills, never fully explored new expansion missions and quests, they were just edgy to pvp and eventually quit without exploring the bigger half of the game.

If there is no challenge, make one up for themselves. World boss? Try a hard one that usually takes 20 pple or so with a 6man squad or less, w/out the use of a LG pet? Or try see if you can find a elemental leaning boss and stack the barb up on high resist of that element (and i dont mean a set you can complete in 1 day or so) and test out some things? I have yet to see tankers talk about any sort of gear swap per boss skill when they tank bosses or mobs to reduce dmg. Or see if kiting and killing with dot are possible with less than 3 pple. There are SO many things that are available with PvE that pple just dont think of challenging.

Its not the lack of pvp that make pple think pve is boring, but more from a lack of ideas pple are willing to develope, just because the things layed out to them either got boring over time or just not enough pple.

Telarith - Sanctuary

NPC henchmen play more competently than human player, in that you can anticipate their incompetent actions. I finished a game with nothing but henchmen, and Alesia was my best healer. This was during a time, where everyone said no one could beat the game with that healer. If they allowed henchmend in this game, you wouldn't even see me posting on any forum on here. I would simply accomplish TT and lunar without other people. And if I could set a skill macro for them? Oh dear, I would be asking who is everyone?

EDIT: Whoops, missed Deceptistar's points due to self-made wine. One thing scant could surely use, is an actual TW PvP worth mentioning. Even the 3 hours ones were **** thrown against ****. The last time people actually planned, practiced, and utilised tactics was when MaceWindu was leader of Legendary. And that was for the 2nd week practice run in which only Legendary made an attack. When I finally see a skilled, methodical, intelligent TW PvP attack; only then will I give respect to the guild performing it. Until that time, who gives a damn. Skill-less people deserver to lose against high CS people.

GG , excellent description of how PVPers think and act b:victory . Although myself and others have explored over half the game but even that was not done with a full heart . It was just something we forcefully tried to enjoy because :

a) - this game is a PVE one , no matter what server your in , and to PVP you need to PVE ;

b) - we were just doing it to kill time while hopelessly clinging on the idea of more PVP aspects to be implemented like the arena or more ppl to TW / pk / fight in DT against .


So PVP vs PVE discussions eh? So this thread wasn't a total mockery then :P .

Sadly, even on a PvP server, you would have run into the PvE + money ruining the economy anyways. People pay more on PvP servers to stay on top, and skill vs. some equipment is just not enough to even the equation. The only way you could, is to subsist until more people have the gear people are paying 300M+ to get. I mean, even on Scant we have a +10 Sinrabinsho already active. And Lost is the credit card capital. Even without the packs, people would have paid out the yin-yang to get it from lucky drop runs. You would essentially be counting on, or giving up, drops more precious than ADS for the prevention of it. Not only did they spend 150+ mil for the mold, but also every 4 TT99 weapon and the refine. Even without the packs, it would have happened for how much money they could field.

For your case, maybe your more happy in a full on PVP geared game? Altho they might be p2p they offer more and concentrate more on the specifics of what PVPers want and like. PWI and most other MMOs, only have pvp as one of MANY entertainment aspects and cant fully concentrate on those alone.

Jack pot , I'd be in the game that shall not be named by now ( I think ) if I had enough time for it :P . P2p is the best for PVP , no1 having CS advantage. Although I do sometimes enjoy some aspects of PVE , it can be fun at least when it's all new . Problem with it in PWI is that the PVE becomes too excessive and dominates the PVP too much the more endgame goes + PVPing making you need even more PVE as it depletes your resources.

If I'm not mistaken, since I play both a PvE and a PvP, this is not just a PvE where the mob occasionally "talks".

I've always wanted to see a vicious and ruthless killer version of Ast .

Got her to help me pk 2 nef barbs near N arch once after seeing her red named for the 1st time but sadly ... after it was mentioned on forums she said "sorry mister barb " or something b:cry .


Have her drink more blood . Even if she's not a pure blooded vampire ...ermmm I mean PVPer , she can still become attached to it and besides , there's no point in lvling or doing dailies anymore so she must be bored xD .
