You're right, the nix doesn't survive 1-3 hits from a wizard, but the nix just needs to get a ripping bite in before it dies. I taught my nix, ripping bite, armor break, magic armor break, and doodoo. So, stun, then all the rest.

Using a veno properly is the key to success. Check this out:

1. Purge your opponent(take away all buffs), while sending nix to doodoo (stun), ripping bite, etc.

2. amplify maim (since you are already in fox form) -- increases damage taken by 30% i think.

3. demon venomous scarab decreases wood resistance (pretty high chance too)....hmmm...i wonder what all of veno's human form attacks are?

4. how do you lose? I saw a veno take a fully buffed barb with the above technique.

PWI won't be around for 3-4 years... at the rate they're going, I don't see this lasting much past next spring.

With usage of apothecary pots ,if both players are good at their class,the wiz can win just due to the fact that you can't shield your pet with apoth pots. You don't need a 59 move to kill a nix,you need to undine it,pets suffer greatly from debuffs,I used to 1 hit crit a nix of my lvl (99) with sage stone rain as an LA mage with a +7 tt99 scaredevil weap with undine strike (maybe extreme poison too,forgot),I didn't get to switch back to pure and get the tt99 gold weap +9 since the patch made me quit,it would be prolly be much better.


But +12 gears....seriously now,I was barely motivated enough to post when I saw that.
What's with bms being that low on the list? The defenses they get with marrow mag are are arcane like while still keeping a phy like an LA wiz or almost not to mention much higher hp. Did you forget about zerks and crits and mby you know ...heaven's flame? A bms normal dmg is ****,but it can jump to 4x with zerk crits and 8x with HF zerk crits + keeping you from not moving ,1v1 I think only a good veno would win vs a good bm that can stunlock properly just due to the fact that the veno has a pet that can stun the bm thus being able to stun him while he's stunning the veno itself breaking his stunlock. Also purging him,even if he can marrow mag while moving he won't have bell up which mean's pet will pwn him and if he doesn't marrow veno magic is gonna hurt him,yet it's better to not marrow till bell is up again :P

What do you mean that no one has +12 gear? I was randomly looking at peoples armor in b:thanksPWIb:thanks and saw a cleric with +12 everything. The cool thing about the veno is that if it gets stunned, the pheonix can still attack. So just click the doodoo button to stop the bm, then ripping bite because we all know it's bugged.

I think each path is equally as good, but I chose the demon path because of the fox form helps you escape if you are in trouble, ironwood scarab has a 20% chance to decrease defense to zero, and venomous scarab has a chance to lower enemy's wood resistance.

I don't think there is a real answer to this question. It is entirely dependent on what your goals for the "end game" are. Some goals are easier to attain with different classes.

All depends on your build friends :P I think Clerics is an excellent class but mainly for beginners and can be very good at soloing if used right! It all depends on your build and style. The best class veries from person to person :P So in my own opinion I think all classes are good! And I'm not saying that so I don't get flamed xD I've seen games where a character that is to be the best build in the game was beaten by a character lower than him! It all veries on builds, no one character is better they just have different a weakness and strength

BM Stun: 3+6+6 (7.5 if hell bash) > Barb Stun: 3 (5?)+3(if weapon stuns)

Everyone says barbs are weak, but try fighting a decent barb your level with the same sharded, same refined gear. If we can't kill you, we'll come damn close and put up one hell of a fight. Which is why ALL MELEES AND MOST MAGIC ATTACKERS CALL FOR HALF OF A FACTION WHEN A BARB ARRIVES b:surrender

barbs can't kill archers in the sense that archers just gtfo when faced 1v1 with a barb. well maybe the archer will kite, wear down the barb's charm a bit, triple spark and spam lightning right after it ticks in hope of epic crits, but if it fails yeah might as well just gtfo and not look back. call it a draw :P

Psh, my **** gear is refined to +3, and I got into a fight with a lvl 100 cleric who demon sparked 5-6 times, Nobody won but I still lived. In yo face >=O

I saw a veno and a barb fight once. The barb was in my faction (level 100) a veno in my party (level 90), they started dukin it out, and i just sat back and watched. to see who would win.

So this is how it played out. The barb was fully buffed with all the buffs you could think of. I was like, man the veno is going to lose so bad. The first thing the veno did was purge the barb of all his buffs, i was like ok, very smart. then the barb stunned her for like a second??? i was like ok...but the barb still had the advantage of a lot of hp. then the veno used amplify damage, the nix ripping bite the barb, and she spammed some demon venomous scarabs, and it was over. the barb did fury burst when his heiro ticked, but the veno wiped it away right as he did it. the barb even had enough time to type: "o.0" while it happened.

you can bring in situations like that.. but i can just say invoke/irongaurd/etc when i see sutra animation etc etc etc..

the best wiz on our server only hits me for 18k crit with sage BIDS. (+11 TT99 wep) i have 3.1k mdef unbuffed... with +3 refines on my belt + necklace. at +12 on each of my ornaments, and his wep + 12, im fairly sure he wont be breaking 20k anytime soon.

15k+ of each defense? unbuffed? id love to know how, unless all his gear is sharded with g12 defense gems, in which i doubt hed have 15k unbuffed anyways, maybe 8-9k. either way his hp is going to be laughably easy to take down. devour (-50% pdef) demon sunder (100% crit rate for 5 seconds) tree of prot+ demon armageddon (10% damage boost) while that mage is at about 60% = goodbye

Remember the wiz has apoth pots too and you won't be hitting him that much since he'll be kitting like hell. If he's smart he'll pay close attention to your apoth pots cd,genie skills,keep track of your chi to know if you can perdition use some genie skills to shield when he's at 60% but you can always zerk + crit on perdition and game over :P.


Oh ya forgot to add in my previous post that if a veno and it's opponent(no matter what class it is) are both buffed then the veno will win,hands down.

Unless you manage to stun the wizard - Demon Sunder is useless. 5 seconds of kiting is pretty easy with their Distance Shrink and Holy Path Genie skills.
