    I caught a botter earlier. It's a pity the GM's were and still are at home asleep.

    How do you know a person is a bot for sure? I mean, what if it's person that really doesn't speak English or something?

    i forgot what they said to see i think the main 1 is they leave drops? i can't remember

    Ok, but lots of people leave drops for whatever reason. Biggest one for me is coins. I mean, really. Why leave money just lying around like that?

    A screenshot of a suspect botter is not very good evidence. But they might have logs of their activity although I don't know if it's sufficient....then again I did use the normal chat, world chat and whispers and the botter never responded and they do log chat....

    Bots don't speak. (But they may do in the not so far future when more advance AI becomes standard)

    I was doing WQ and just came across this barb who was constantly runnning and spinning on the spot between these rocks like he was hell-bent into walking through them as well as twitching oddly. I stopped and watched him for a little while as he continued trying to walk through the rocks at which point I started talking to him via the normal chat and whispering but there was no reaction at all.

    After a minute or two a aggro strolled near him and....well....aggro'd him but he stopped and turned to kill it straight away. After he killed it and picked up the drops he went back to trying to walk through the rocks, presumably trying to get to the target mob on the other side.

    I left and came back to find he had got out of the issue and constantly grinding on two out of three different mobs in that area. He kept running directly to his target even through other aggros and as soon as he picked up aggro from another mob, he'd stop and attack it immediately unless he was already attacking another mob.

    I dropped some coins around and after each kill he tried picking one up for a few seconds but gave up and moved on to the next mob as the coins were dropped by me too recently. I kill-stealed from him several times but he didn't react at all other than tried for a moment to pick up my drops.

    Basically, I harrassed him as much as I could. It didn't take me long to conclude he was botting, but I was there for quite a while until I got bored.

    Botting behaviour can vary, but you'll know one when you see one and stop to watch for a while....or if they get trapped, stuck, 'confused' or something (such as in this case) due to imperfect AI and whatnot.

    Time for me to get some sleep. b:tired

    Yep, didnt notice a difference at first until I turned my brightness up for a second. I always keep brightness/contrast to a minimum.
