If you don't have the player highlighted, solid instead of translucent like they used to be. And I normally play with graphics maxed, so it's not because of graphics resetting and me forgetting what they were on.

For some reason im not feeling too great about the great update the GMs have in mind for us. Im sensing a dejavu...

Actually, it did change after the update. What i said was it was already silverish, went back to normal (transparent) for 2 mins and then back to silverish.

The only thing I did was reset my resolution higher.I did not touch my graphics.I thought those with blue wings were dyed.This would have to be taken up with the devs in China which could take some time.Do your wings look different than my screen shot or the same.

It could be our gpu cards.

i think this is a glitch...i just looked on ecatomb, and on the oriental sites, and all the pics i see the wings that are to be transparent are, and they are intended to be transparent. so its apparent that this is yet another glitch to be fixed....*sigh*

What I can see from your ss is that the top pic is from distance and the bottom one is from topical view.I took my pic close up and in tusk town.I don't see much wrong with your wings except what I mentioned.

That... has absolutely nothing to do with it.

Look at the top pic. See how the wings are semi-transparent? That's how they're supposed to be.

Now look at the bottom pic. See how the wings are now COMPLETELY SOLID? That's NOT how they're supposed to be.

I would rather see a SS of this taken some place else as the swamp of the wraith is hardly the best to take SS.The Arch is nice along the coast as well as Plusme or around it.When I do a topical view of mine they do look mechanical as that is what they are based on these first set of wings.These wings being Plumbum Essence from http://www.ecatomb.net/flight-e.php I believe those were the first wings used then came along Paradise aka Watcher of the Skies.

There is new set of wings out brand new.Phoenix wings?

This is set of my wings topical view around the Arch. as you can see they look mechanical.

MystiMonk... You need to get your eyes checked... They are obviously very different, no matter the location and angle, they should clearly be somewhat transparent, not solid.

I do not my eyes are fine as i can see those might be older images and on dark stormy night they will look that.I guess you are making assumptions since you don't play the class.

I can tell the one with the Nix is an older pic as no 1-9 skill bar as well Now from Dinah.There is no date no evidence that this after patch.That is why I included my skill bars to show evidence it is post patch and they look fine.I am not complaining.

They are obviously complaining about the old wings (pre-patch) look better whereas the new wings after the patch looks like ****, we all see that the old wings look better, your so-called "older images on dark stormy nights" are clearly presented to you as recent screenshots after the patch, so your point makes no logical sense.

I have enough in-game experience to see enough mounts to know what they look like and if you've been playing recently you would've noticed that many people in the game are also complaining about this same problem.

You obviously can't see the evidence pointed infront of you my wings are current as you say they are older images well.I have a 1-9 skill bar and look at the date of the images were taken besides this has nothing to do with you.

I am also having the same problem with the wings.

I assume it has something to do with the graphic card requirement. I had a similar situation in one of the game I played. Some of the graphics could not be shown as it was designed because my graphic card could not support it.

I also had grey check box that doesn't allow me to check after I installed the new patch. As I have checked today, the grey boxes are gone.

First, your misunderstanding what people are saying just like from the other thread where we were talking about the aerogear speeds, so let me tell you once again, please read and think carefully before posting.

Secondly, I wasn't talking about your images, dates on images are irrelevant here to what some other people are experiencing, it's been said many times that everyone is experiencing the problems after the patch, there is no reason they would lie to us. And if you've read this thread thoroughly and been in the game recently you'll know that not everyone is having the same problem, just because your wings are ok, doesn't mean it's the same for everyone else.

Ok update on wings.

As I am doing my WQ, I came to Member of the Talon in Tusk Town (464,340). But as I exit the area, the wings turned back to that dull solid colour again. So I doubt it is a graphic card problem...

I noticed the same thing too. The wings shift to normal above tusk town and above sundown. Every other area its the silver look that patch gave us.

I dont really know what to make of it. Maybe its having a conflict with some graphics board. Maybe the updater had some file problem (i used auto-update btw) and those who download patch manually are not experiencing. Whatever it is, there is a patch problem. If in your pc is fine, great. Just dont come here saying "its your setting" or whatever because it clearly isnt.

Anyways, i hope they fix it on this week's update. This silver look sucks ><

MystiMonk doesn't seem to get it... as usual.

Here's an example of the problem we have using Seraphic Mist. You can easily check the file names to see the dates since they were taken via the normal print screen method. They ere also taken at the exact same place you you can't say it's because of lighting or being in a different area or something like that. Plus, as you'll be able to see from the people and general area around her, the graphics settings weren't changed, so you can't use that as an excuse either. Maybe this will be enough evidence for you to open your eyes.

Only way I've managed to get it to look the way it's supposed to, other than being in those areas where, fr some reason, they show up properly, is to hold my cursor above the person/Nix so that they're "highlighted".


@Mysti: In case you don't know how the date format works for pictures PWI saves (before you try and use that to say the dates may not be right), It's Year-Month-Day-Hour (24 hour clock instead of AM/PM)-Minute-Second. Imageshack automatically converts images from .bmp (the default extension for screenshots taken by PW) and removes the dashes.

There is a problem with the flying mounts. My problem with the Israfel is that sometimes it is invisible and sometimes visible. Each time it was visible and tried to go when mobs attacked I almost died because it took me ages to get up from the ground, it seemed like I was stuck. When it is invisible I have no problem in getting into the air. I never had this problem before the patch, because it was never invisible before. I always put graphics to max or to min, depends if I lag or not. And even so no matter what kind of setting I used to set, it never became invisible. So yes it is a problem, untamed flying mounts are invisible and the elves' wings lost their transparency.

I did mine with auto updater no mnaual download how ever I didn't have any other programs running in th background as I have been told it my corrupt a file.This comes from an old beta tester as well as MRI Programer.when doing large downloads let them download and have no other programs running.

You may have to do fresh install of the game.You can dl all the patches first or let the auto updater do it all just don't do anything else go afk for few hrs so no other services are running.

It doesn't do it for me converts it from bmp to jpg and the date is on on it like my SS are.You submit this to support they may want the date build no and full SS of your UI.This is why my skill bars are in there.

I may well let spoons deal with this.

Could be. I remember using IE when it began. Then i left it downloading while my brother used PC. He sometimes play those online poker games. It could have caused this corruption as you mentioned. All my friends who manually downloaded patch have their graphics working normally, reason i assumed it was the auto-update.

Ill try removing the game and downloading it fully updated to see how it works out. Tomorrow, cuz i dont feel like doing it right now ^^

while it could be a corruption, i doubt so many peoples files corrupted in EXACTLY the same way =P
honestly its more likely that the patch was downloaded by some from server 1 and others off server 2.

there was probably a corrupted patch, or just a bit of a mistake on one of the servers. In any case, I'd wait to see if it gets fixed in the next patch before a re-install!

My wings get me "stuck" on the ground (they don't go invisible though) sometimes....I've discovered if you let yourself start to drop first, you don't get reset back to the ground.

The only time that hasn't worked for me is if I try it on top of an NPC.
