why are pve players called carebears?

    I think its because most people who have a strong opinion about PVP and how it should be etc etc etc normally play in a PVE server and dont actually PVP.

    PvE server does not mean there is no PvP, thats what the pkers have to get through their heads.

    There are carebears in pvp servers as well.
    Mostly, unless you like to whine in WC or like camping low level players and kill them as they try to level, you will be called a carebear.

    In this game, the term carebear, OP and noob are pretty much meaningless, since they get used all the time and, more often than not, in the wrong situation.

    Also, since it is impossible to level or make a living just by pvping, everyone in both PVE, and PVP servers are technically carebears, since both have to play the pve content to get what they want.

    Other games where you drop everything you own when you get killed, allow for certain players to make a living with just pvp, in this game, however, even if you are a hard core pvper, you still have no choice but to run pve content, like TT runs or Rebirths, or crazy stones, or WQs....
    Too often we loose sight of life's simple pleasures. Remember, when someone annoys you, it takes 42 muscles in your face to frown, BUT, it only takes 4 muscles to extend your arm and slap that mother#$@%#^! upside the head.

    I think its just a superiority issue, the term 'carebears'.
    Delusional superiority issue at that, cause being big, bad, and killing things in a virtual world is cool, but in RL its a federal crime lol.

    Carebear, like n00b, is a term used by insecure, delusional little kids who are frustrated that there are people in the world who have decided not to join their server and happily spend their entire 3x-6x being killed by them without complaint so they can increase their e-peen and pretend they're actually someone.
    Carebear is one of many "insults" meant to provoke the more sensible players into falling to their level and getting into an argument with them.

    What these type of PvP players don't realise is that there is indeed plenty of PvP in a PvE server, only it's more of an organized fashion intended for friendly competition. In PvE pvp you actually need skill to succeed since those participating will be confident of their abilities and ready. In PvP server pvp however, while the majority of players are looking for fair, challenging and exciting play (I have nothing at all against pvp servers), it also allows the skill-less to "suceed" as they can just hide away hunting 3x and picking easy fights pretending to themselves that they're just playing like they're meant to and since they're killing lots of people they must be skilled.

    When I posted a thread stating how unfair it was that high levels basically ruined wraith events for lower levels, I was in turn.. called a
    "carebear"     .

    When I posted a thread being irritated about how people kite bosses to other locations to kill unsuspecting bystanders, I was in turn.. called a "carebear".

    When I posted a thread being concerned about any other situation that is potentially unfair in this game, I am in turn.. called a "carebear".

    Given the terms that I have been called it on, I would venture to say that it means someone who cares about issues that others do not. I can not say this is "totally" the meaning. As many others have their opinions. I just know from my experience this is when and why I was named a "carebear". And guess what? I will die many many years from now still a "carebear"!

    The reason I think PVE server people are called carbears is that on those servers you can choose when to PVP and when to avoid (excluding Safe Zones). If your life is in-danger constantly, you will adapt for survival on PVP server or quit so you would have more knowledge due to experience. The only people that turn on PK mode on PVE server usually have the best equipment for their lvl or are just really high level - in PVP server you have no choice.

    I'm still trying to experience all that PVE has to offer so it will be a long time before I would even consider dueling or PVP server (also PVP servers have very high coin -> gold exchange rates).

    i think this is wrong because of this:
    The only people that turn on PK mode on PVE server usually have the best equipment for their lvl or are just really high level
    if PVE players only have the choice of fighting the cream of the crop, wouldnt that make us more experienced >_>?

    most of PVP servers best PKs list is just SP camping :P

    That's what makes it such a failure of an insult. PKers picked a term which they would consider insulting if applied to them. But they failed to consider that it doesn't really bother the people they're using it against. In fact I suspect many of the people they're trying to insult find the term quite flattering.

    Yet again peoples AVI may say a PVE Server. That in no way means they don't also play on one or both of the PVP servers.

    PvE players are called carebears out of the frustration that you guys think you understand pvp. You guys honestly have little to no experience when it comes to real pvp. Duels are completely different than PvP and so is TW. I can easily back these facts up just by going over to the PvE servers and see how your equipment is sharded, the builds you have, etc. You guys really have no understanding of how some classes really are OP based on the PvP builds that can be made out of them. Basically, PvE players aren't exposed to true PvP settings regardless of the PvP options that you guys always say you have.

    P.S. just look at the venos, nuff said. And I don't want any **** answers because I hate replying constantly to some stupid person that wants to start a fight.

    -PVE server players do not have forced PVP,
    -Therefore PVE players have no experience.

    this is wrong for many reasons.
    Duels are completely different than PvP and so is TW.
    assumption: were not a ton of idiots that base our 'PVP knowledge off duels. 'we have TW too, hows it any different from your minus the rivalry/drama/KOS nonsense?
    our PK mode players are usually the cream of the crop on our server, how does that make our fighting experience demeaning if we're pitting ourselves against our top players? another point, we never know when another white name is near by, that element of surprise is still there as we never know who, what, when, or where we'll be ambushed by. displaying such arrogance really is annoying.
    You guys really have no understanding of how some classes really are OP based on the PvP builds that can be made out of them.
    assumption: you cannot assume that just because one is limited in PVP, one does not understand the class, does not experiment with the class, or take it to new heights. thats ignorant. there are powerful heavy armored casters, evasion built BMs and barbs, vit arcane venos for a small example, among many other different out of the norm builds on my server that kick plenty of butt in fights with others.

    hmm I try to post something in nicer terms and this is what i get. All I can say is LOL to your posts about the builds that kick butt and that you think tw is the same as real pk. TW is nothing like real pking. I don't think I even need to explain that part. I don't care if you experience with builds if you truly don't know a build that is suited for PvP. Your post itself shows how ignorant you guys truly are at thinking you understand pking.

    We have TW, and unless we have a buff added thats called carebeare, no really difference eh.

    Equipment shards,builds wtf? Builds on PvE and PvP are same lols, just check the forums and see high lv Pkers builds i really cant tell apart.
    Shards, again its not down to PvP skill its down to good judgment.
