I read the origianl OP post and wonder where does he get off telling people how they should act.

Everyone can just act the way they want and suffer any consequences by for their actions.

If people act nice that is fine and dandy...wooptie doo....If they choose to be villian like all the better as long as they keep to a limit where we can all enjoy the game. I can still enjoy the game with random PKers or Kill Stealers. Life will move on and the sun will rise again.

If you were on Lost City I would almost want to "not so random" PK if I saw you just because you wrote this "all so high and mighie" post.

I think what many have to realize in terms of people's behaviors is that this is the internet. Many people can act in ways that they might be able to in real life. I guess you could say that it is an outlet for some.

Yes, it is unfortunate, but it does not stop people from doing it. Just stay away from those who are "not so nice."

Thats like sayng barb have the duty of using HP buff for any players they might come across. Why?
-they are both helping buffs
-their both 2-3 sec. skills to use
-they are both used in squads and outside squads
-they are skills unique to the class
-they both "save lives"

I suppose clerics have a duty to keep both HP and MP charm on them, as well as couple of rerez scrolls. Like i said once, if your one of those pple that expect all these, and then lie dead in a near wipe without a rez scroll screaming for rez while the cleric is busy healing the survivors, get a GA or a scroll. The nerve of these pple expecting clerics to be perfect while they lie there dead with nothing ready. Useless piece of meat. Stop using excuses to save your own pennies.

I assume you mean "people can act in ways that they might NOT be able to in real life". If thats the case, i am going to come out and say i act in game almost the same way i act in real life.

NO. if i am feeling nice, i might give ONE of them some change in my pocket. i am not going to do everything in my power (empty out my bank account) to help them.

3)dont make fun of ppl for being new to the game. calling one person a noob is like calling everyone in the game a noob. everyone in this game was in that position once. b4 u call some1 a noob, think about how u felt wen u were new, knew nothing about the game and just wanted a kind hand to extend out to u and help u.

i got laughted at when i fell off my bike when i first started to ride. and i laugh at my friend when they fall off. its just life... get over it.

4)do not trick new ppl into dueling u. i have met several ppl in this game that challenge new ppl(lvls 1-5) saying that theyr a low lvl wen theyr not. dont do that. its cruel and pathetic. if u challenge some1 to a duel, make sure that they have a fighting chance. otherwise its not a duel, its bullying. dont pick on the weak, becuz that makes u weak.

regardless of each person's strength or weakness. we're all competiting against one another on even grounds. i have a job, and when i applied to that job i am pretty sure there are other applicants who have less experience then me. well, thats their problem that i out competited them.

5) ive seen this one far too many times. I understand if ur trying to sell something, but dont do this. many ppl, especially in Archosaur will say the same thing over and over every second bypassing the 6 second rule. they do this by changing the message a bit like so

Don't do that. the 6 second rule was implemented because repeating messages negatively affects other players who are trying to chat with ther friends. keep ur business ads to the world chat and trade chat. if u cant use either of those, keep ur ads to 1 every minute. if some1 is looking to buy, they will be paying attention to ads on the chat, so no need to repeat messages like that.

i don't sell stuff, but have you seem some of those sales people. especially those people who sell time shares.

6) ther is a purpose 4 each species and class having abilities that others do not. that purpose is the hope that everyone will get along better. the clerics have a duty; to revive any dead players they might come across. the venos have pets so they can help others finish quests quickly. the barbs become tigers so that the girls have a fast ride should they need it, like a free mount. winged elves can fly early on so that girls can get to where they need to at low lvls. every1 needs to lend these powers to those who dont have them

i have a car. and i'll be damed if i am going to give every girl rides. i would go out of my way to give my friend rides (same applies to in game). but i couldn't care less if the girls that i don't know takes the bus or walk.

Correction. Their duty is to their own self/guild/squad. Everyone else outside of that is out of their own goodwill.

People have a right to choose whether they want to help or not.
