Lv7 BT + 5 fire mastery (both outdated, I could have 9 and 10 respectively at 83, it's just unnecessary imo). Lagged when I tried to take the SS so it's a little delayed. As you can see my genie energy bar is full, I did not have undine strike yet, I still have chi so it wasn't a sparked BT, and it is an odd numbered hit. That hit is completely bare of debuffs, the only thing being in question is that I'm matk buffed. Leveling BT to 9 and FM to 10 would easily be more damage than the buff gives.

It's difficult to judge random people BTing you because you don't know if they bother to level it or not, and the ones that do may be like me and leave it a few levels below max for your player level out of laziness or priorities. Also the variable of peoples' gear; which affects a person's damage just as much as damage taken.

Not a flame, just saying it's definitely doable.

considering level 10 blade tempest from a level 96 pure int mage(+7 wraith conqurer) hit me for less than you hit him, i'd assume his gears are absolutely terrible?

Close to the stats you listed, actually. (: His HP is lower though as a result, around 3.6k iirc.

As I said btw, there are multiple factors that could attribute to his/her damage being lower. I'm not even going to bother speculating on that, because after all, you said an 83 wizard.

It's possible regardless. Though if you want to make things more obviously plausible, stack undine strike with spark [the genie skill, not spark erupt] and all that pretty fire mdef will drop to around 3k or less. There's still plenty of energy left over to add extreme poison after too.

uhhhhh lvl 10 tempest with +7 HH90 weapon should one-shot any 8x cleric with or without undine strike. The fk you talking about.

it wasn't a 1 shot. it was pretty close, but it wasn't. it was just a bit lower than anemones damage.

Don't forget the cleric buff. I'm not really sure how its bonuses actually compute, but the total is quite significant.
And some wizards actually do run around without it. Something to do with dying and the buff going away.

Because suddenly a wraith conq is the best weapon for a mage. *nods*
However, I will agree with you that it takes quite a powerful blade tempest to one shot a cleric with vitality. Even my own BT at the moment deals roughly 3.9k damage without undine/extreme poison to an 89 cleric. (which is pretty bad since 89 clerics do not have their hh90 equipment yet).

But by the time a mage hits 90, most of them know better than to throw a blade tempest at a cleric with full hp. Thats simply a waste of spark, and a waste of channel time. I have much better things to do with my spark.

Plume Shell is the reason I don't use Blade Tempest on most clerics though. The smart ones will use it.

and pretty much went all out everywhere else with channel minus things?

and the things may not be in the game, but they may be... channeling at or greater than -90%?

demon wiz with its channeling- bonus and doing all that currently exists in PW for channeling- ?

why the strong feelings for crit? lol. i'd almost guarantee if someone sought channel- as strongly as some feel about crit+, that the channeling would rock way harder than any possibility of crit+ (wizards arent archers lol, but they do have long channel times so they get the most outta channel-)

and then u have the wiz in some japan version or something that achieved 99% and (in theory) it would be possible to do with things currently ingame (given that the character is a demon wiz), 90-99% channeling redux would be possible for 15 seconds. maybe even indefinitely if enough channel gear and things that arent currently in PWI were added. how's crit gona top that? lol

wraith conqueror is probably the best 90 magic sword. the only thing comparable is the 90 gold, but the mp mod on it makes me despise it; and lunate. which, unless you're willing to fork out enough for 35k rep and the extreme amount of badges you need, is unobtainable.

i know you're probably going to have the 90 green quoit, i just don't favor them.

is it now? personal preference aside, 77 more matk isn't enough to convince me that it's better. i'd gladly take the 140~150 more hp over it.

140-150 hp is more easy to refine for then 77 magic attack, cause you have 6 armor pieces that you can refine for hp, and only 1 for magic attack. Thats why the glaive is (for the most people) better then the sword.

Wraith Conqueror is trash. It's completely useless for a wizard, because you can just add 15 base vit and get the glaive, and you'll have the same HP as someone with a Wraith Conq, but MORE DAMAGE. That's the difference 77 matk makes. And Light Armor? They already get more HP off refining, and they can go full HP shards, they don't need HP, they need damage.

and ya, i never said i knew everything. i chose to get a sword instead of the quoit because i didn't plan to stay at 90, and i didn't plan to re-farm anything to move onto my next weapon. not all of us get items thrown to us by guildies, or spend real money, we actually have to work for it ourselves.

er wraith conqueror ... its not required for either the 99 gold sword or 99 gold quoit so unless u want a green 99 weap (99 weap is pretty much endgame for now) wraith conqueror wont help u with anything

wraith conqueror is used in craft for 3/4 hh99 magic swords, which are all used in the craft of the hh100 magic sword(if you can't get lunate, cv, or rank 8; excellent alternative).

i can't afford to farm the hh80 and then 90 green quoit.(mind you, my mage is in delphi. it's not as cheap to play there as it is here). rather just stick to the path i've always had.
