is it worth it to put a few points into Dex for LA armor? I've heard that its much better from defending off barbarians and gives more survivability but is it worth it to put some points into dex then mag?

Never add Dex as a cleric, plume shell will be your physical defence.

If you are not a MAG wh.ore, then go LA. Theres nothing to strap you to arcane except the elemental resists you get, but then again lacking in physical def so it goes both ways. Plume shell is good but seeing you are in a pvp server, plume wont help in a surprise attack. The diff is not that serious, but just remember it might take 2-3 more shots to kill. Or you can substitute with good rings/ornaments for lack of power. It will even out if you set your gear up good.

I am personally a MAG wh.ore and going for utmost attack so im arcane. I lack serious DEF but I make it up by using perfect shards and refining. I realize my situation is not viable to everyone, thus I recommend LA if you are the normal cleric.

Oh, I meant like those who arent wh0ring basing on 1 specific stat. Like one example is either MAG or VIT. There are clerics that focus on MAG gear and MAG alone, and their whole life revolves around getting higher and higher MAG gear regardless the lvl of the gear. (like me) And there are other clerics, every single gear they choose just MUST HAVE VIT on it.
I would say normal as pple who are not focused too much on one stat and tilt their gear making strategy.

I went with a LA build. Seeing as alot more mobs use phys. attacks, its better to have more p.def so you want die as easily. =P

normal clerics are vit builds, idiots are pure int builds, and people who don't like to spend money on refining jewelery for pdef use light armour in the 70s and 80s.

Only an idiot would think a cleric needs to be chained down to a specific build. There is no holy bible build for the cleric.

but yeah, im sure he could 1 shot all full mag around his level. Its not hard considering he gets a crit, LA build i think is the best, who needs that extra 200-300dmg from the more mag and cant get hit but once, its useless

If im a 1 shot then a BM my lvl with 10k DEF is a 2 shot b:chuckle well maybe 3 shot cause they got HP bonus. You shouldnt assume things like these of other pple unless you know their specific build and refinement =p

SHE. At least im smart enough NOT to assume pple can get 1shot or not WITHOUT looking at their gear =P I already said a BM with 10k DEF will get 2shot, if the gear im wearing right now makes me a 1shot.

Atm its 4.3K or 4.5K(forgot). I can say its not the best yet. Im waiting to get a few other ornaments before I do my big HP refinement. And also hoping for a socket stone sale soon.

I spend only what I can afford to waste aside from the bills and rent I have to pay, same as pple spend money on fast food and drinks to get fat and other hobbies that waste money =P
Its funny, first you attack the armour type, then you go attack how squishy they are, once I tell you my Pdef which is probably rock hard for an arcane, you knitpick my HP which also turns out fairly high for arcane, and now you have no where to pick at and you go for the cost =P
I would have fun imagining what you would pick on next IF I had said I got them totally free cause I was related to to president who established PWE >___>;;;

Btw I get most of my stuff cheap cause I hunt the auction every hour or 2 when I can. MAG12 belt? Pdef 300+ HP150 hat? Hello auction.

actually, we have very similar hp. mine is just tipping over 4k unbuffed. even with your far superior armour and gears. the problem i have is the sheer cost it must have been to get that. no nitpicking. i got it for free, at the cost of ~300 points of damage.

and no, i've never attacked arcane armour nor the squishy-ness of it. i wear arcane. i'm just not pure int. pure int clerics seem to fail where i succeed. if you've seen mysticlife, you know what i mean. but i'm not level 90.

average vit builds at level 90 have over 6k unbuffed hp. notice that you have.. 4k. that's my hp at level 83. that's a significant difference.

Wow thats weird, that means the asian RB delta guides are saying lv 100s can do with significantly lower HP than they should have =p
Unsharded, unrefined LA has less than 2k HP. Shard it with Flawless or immaculate you get 3.5-4k HP. Assuming refining each along with hat/ring/neck/belt will give it 1.5-2k HP buff. 6k This is LA lv90.
Can you explain to me how you got exactly the same average 6k HP for arcane?

hp sharded vit builds can reach over 6k unbuffed hp. but that's not how they get so much, see here:

this is only a 3s set, but sharded entirely with grade 6 hp stones. though i don't like using hp stones anymore, this is how it's done. they use their pdef ornaments alone for their defense. not a bad idea, but i have a crave to make others hit null on me with moderate hp.

now, i wasn't far from my goal. though the hp is lower, my defense is generally the standard of light armour with more mdef. that being said, i was able to tank more with more resistances, but i lack more hp, which means i would end up refining even more. truthfully, +'ing only your ornaments for pdef is a grand idea, i don't know. i never was dramatically rich in this game so doing that seemed out of place for me. so i used a cheaper alternative.

If 6k is the norm, I cant say my gear is complete then. They are all only +3-4, and non of the belt and necklace you used I have yet.

the belt is a quest reward at level 80. it's a very good belt, u should get that. however, if u want everything i was working for, u have to do fw. the cape and hat aren't easily obtained. i lack in materials for them, but i wasn't far.

..........i got the ****ty element resist belt..........by mistake .......and stuck with it.

u might consider making the hh90 gold belt then. or getting the continuation copy of the quest version. it seems to continue at 90, though i've never seen anyone with it. possibly not released? i wouldn't know, i'm not 90.
