Is it a secret, or can we know who tried to wreck our game? I don't atcually want to discuss it, I'm just curious who I won't be seeing anymore that caused the problem and who I won't be seeing anymor ethat left because of them.

If the players involved would like you to know that they were punished, they can tell you. This will not be the place for that. The forums will not be for public lashings b:laugh-Your friendly neighborhood Shnuggs-

Fair enough, I was just wondering if a list was posted somewhere."A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

PWE will never have that information publically listed due to privacy reasons. If the names get out from guildies or any other reason, so be it. But that information will not be published by PWE. Just informing you b:surrender-Your friendly neighborhood Shnuggs-

Meh not like they got Perm banned, Why should PWE care about them anyways.. They were exploiting and put you guys through 'ALL' that trouble..Cuz they took advantage of something.. Judging by PWE rules, thats a perm bann.
But I guess you guys made money off of it, So it's ok to 3 day ban them.0 -
3 day ban? That's it...
That just made me want to quit."A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
3 days is intolerable. All you are saying is that it is completely OK to disregard the TOS.
For those that missed it, because the thread got deleted despite being one of the only well thought out threads on the matter, I really wish I had not chosen to be honest yesterday.0 -
wow . . people seriously only got a 3 day ban? Is this information correct? Dang time to look for another game. I had thought this one was run in a respectable mannor, but I may have made a miscalculation there."Let not your outrage for injustice end where your selfishness begins"0

3 days? good joke ...lol0

I think a permaban would be unfair. Who wouldn't exploit the bug, if they had the knowledge and resources? People who wouldn't normally cheat abused this bug. And it's not like they can do it again in the future, since the damn thing was removed anyways.
About a week's ban seems justified to me.0 -

I had the resources and heard about the exploit before they took the servers down.. I didn't take advantage of it and never would. So that answers who.. and I'll bet I'm not alone."A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
3 Days? I could have been made hundreds of millions of coin and only gotten three days? Instead I played fairly and followed the ToS and got cheated? Wait, wait, I would like another chance at yesterday, I think I would have done something differently. I'm serious in saying that PWI should consider giving each player 500million coin so we are all on equal footing.0

Xarfox said that the money was removed from the accounts I believe.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
GM's didn't make the 3 day ban statement, a player did. For all we know they got a Month long ban or a 1 day ban. Speculation doesn't help here.

Yeah, they haven't said. However, the problem is the word "suspension".
I would gladly take a month off the game (maybe more), in exchange for all my skills, every item I could possibly want, and a ton of coin hidden in different accounts and characters.
The question I have is; did they really expect people to take this well? When I read 10 billion coins and 70 accounts I was thinking to my self: "My own faction probably has made more coins and has more characters that exploited this bug than that!" And so I knew that when I logged shortly after maintenance I was in for some serious disappointment, and I haven't logged back in since.0 -

Why? Because that's just what honest people do. I can't help myself, because to have kept it would have been wrong. Ask any honest person and they'll tell you the same.
But dishonest people aren't like you and me. They take advantage of other people's mistakes, and believe that anybody who says they wouldn't have done the same thing is a liar.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You act high and mighty now, but even you would go against your own values at the right price. Some people just need a greater reward than others to be enticed to break rules.
I know for one, I would have exploited the bug had I been online at the time (spent like the entire day at school, then a party, qq). Or at least considered exploiting it. It may be wrong, but really...0 -

Not everyone. I for one, would never go against my values for ANYTHING. You could offer me infinite money and I'd turn you down without a thought.Main characters

I was online at the time with 40 gold. Hell, I even knew the bug and how to exploit it (the Duke's Items I mean). I just ummm...followed the ToS, and used my own sense of fairness. (And got royally screwed on account of it. b:chuckle)
You are right about everyone having a price though, my price to cheat half of the server would have been $10,000 in real life. Unfortunately, since I play a game not to cheat, but to enjoy its challenges (assuming the game is fair, which it now isn't) then no amount of coin would have made a difference to me.0 -

This is a very good point. My statement applies more IRL than ingame, though it can affect what you do in both areas.0 -

A while a guild used a fake name to place a bid to protect land. They said the guild "RoadKill" did it when it was Them.

You completely miss the point. I wouldn't sell out my morality for any price. Just because you would, don't try to make yourself feel better about it by assuming everyone else is morally defective. There is nothing in this world of enough value that I will be willing to give up holding my head high and "acting all high and mighty" for. It's not an act so it's easy to do."A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words."[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I don't need to make myself feel better about it; I honestly don't care. There are worse things one can do than OMG CHEAT ON AN ONLINE GAYME?!
