ok so here is the deal I am using the same hp pavilion media edition (or at least it is an hp media edition laptop as the original poster) and cannot connect either. Only difference is I am running vista home premium sp1. I have forwarded port 29000 on my router and DMZ hosted my computer. I run a tracert and get the following:

The tracecert seems to me to get well past "verizon" territory so I doubt this could be a isp issue but may be possible. However verizon has told me that they do not block any ports and that I should be able to connect according to them.

I run the nmap program and got the same with the answer being port 29000 open unknown.

I use verizon dsl via a "routed bridge" connection at least that is what they told me when I set it up and that is the option in my router settings.

All of my firewalls are of, both windows and router (DMZ host is enabled as well as router being off)

I don't even know what peergaurdian is, let alone have it.

I even turn off spybot while trying to run this program and that does not help either....

I am running out of ideas here any one that has any that may work i would be glad to listen and give them a try....

    Greetings,

I am having connectivity problems as well. I have now, for the second time been unable to login to the HT Server.

I was DCed the first time, about 5 day ago, I went to bed after waiting for 2 hours ... woke up the next morning and logged in as per usual.

Now, the same thing has happened and I cannot enter the Realm.

I have run the zenmap and received this:

    Starting Nmap 4.76 ( http://nmap.org ) at 2009-02-05 19:24 South Africa Standard Time

Nmap done: 0 IP addresses (0 hosts up) scanned in 0.13 seconds

Failed to resolve given hostname/IP: pwigc3.perfectworld.com. Note that you can't use '/mask' AND '1-4,7,100-' style IP ranges

WARNING: No targets were specified, so 0 hosts scanned.

What furthermore could I do to facilitate my being able to play? I can't keep waiting and skipping days of play just for something to come right. Please help me.
