Question about PvP mechanics.

I was just wondering that since you'll be having a PK optional and PK enabled server will the PK punishments be the same as they were on the MY version? Like 2 hours+ to red for PKing a white etc.? Or will be able to get say 5-10 PK's on whites before going red?

    why would they change the system? I'm 99.9998% sure the PK system will be identical on both servers cept for the blue name option on PVE

    How will I know which server is PK' and which one isnt?
    Sorry i'm new never knew about this 2 different servers :)

    They will be labelled differently I guess.

    servername open PvP
    servername optional PvP

    or something like that.

Why should the whole game mechanics be altered becuase some players will remain blue till lvl105 and others will be regular white and do regular pvp like everyone else?

    PvE server should be 1 kill=red.
    PvP server should be 5-10 kills = red.

    Don't try to change the mechanics of the game. This is not how it works in any other version.

    I think it will be if u have your pk safety on your name will turn blue so no pking.
    When turned off you will be able to pk and get pked.
    I think the hours will stay the same 2h for 1 person killed.


    Other dont trust my judgement i just think:)

    Ah i misunderstood the orig post in my response, still they wont change it. Red = doll sales.

    Besides true pk'ers know how to stay pink, simply let your oponent do the 1st hit and u'll never be red and have a good chance to take inventory items of others.
    And if somone is red already the worst that can happen is pink.

    Saying you want 5 kills before u turn red is like openly admitting you want to slaughter 5 ppl with no chance in hell, just for a laugh.

    Maybe they overlooked it, or they are studying the possibilities.

    There isn't a need for PvE or PvP server just impose additional hour. Ie. You kill one person, u get 3 hrs instead of 2 now with red name tag. If you kill 10 person than is 30 hrs.

    When ever you are red, you stats drop by 1% per killed. So when you killed 10, thats 10%.

    The above do not apply to TW or duel.

    This will make Pker thing twice before killing low level player and to prevent griefting that can drive new player away.

    Or, sell intra kill scroll on red name in IM.

    Ya none of those drop stats ****, plain red name is enough penalty.

    Red name makes players buy dolls, we're happy that we have dolls for protection, the staff is happy that you spent money on dolls. Everyone wins!

    Best pvp system ever, it really boosts cash shop sales. This is what perfectworld is about, buy dolls and hieros.

    Of course not, but that doesn't mean the system is perfect. Especially not for a pvp server.

    Perfect World is pretty cash shop based. You will have to buy items from the cash shop unless you have a lot of ingame gold or bum them off of someone.

    Huh? You don't make any sense. I didn't say PW was about cash shop. I said it was pretty cash shop based, especially if you want to enjoy pking or zenning.

    Point is that if you want to PK on the PvP server your basically gonna be forced to have to buy dolls? I don't think thats really all that fair. I suggested 5 kills before going red because if your playing on the PvP server you probably want to be able to PK without facing huge punishments right? Oh and whoever said wait for them to attack you first? It doesn't really work that way.

    I've played other versions of PW before and the PK mechanics are awfully hard on PKers. Doll prices on the MY server are up to 120k per pop and every time you go red everyone you see tries to kill you. And whoever said that you could just go out PK 4 people then go back to blue, so that everyone you PKed gets upset and "ragequit's". Please remember were talking about the PvP server where A. You can't go blue. B. They can always use 1 of their 4 free PK's before going red C.If they can't handle being PKed then they should play on the carebear server uhh the PvE server :o.

    And if it makes anyone feel better they could add a mechanic so that the game contains a database of whoever has PKed you in the past so that if they PKed you once then you could come back later and kill them without losing one of your free kills.


    As for PW being cash shop based? It is to an extent,but not a whole lot. Even on the MY server with massive inflation hieros were still relatively cheap and so were exp scrolls. And i played a WB so i didn't exactly have a whole lot of money but i could afford to buy miji's and hieros for zhen parties whenever i wanted too.

    Well you aren't forced to buy dolls but you will want to unless you want to drop your gear. PW is not really a pk based game, that is why there is penalties. TWs and the Arena both have no penalties for pking. Also this isn't' really a pvp server, it's just a normal server. They won't change the mechanics of the game for a normal server. That is how the game is played. People will have to live with it or move to a different game.

    ~sorry if it's not official but PW works and has always worked with these pk rule sets.

    And it is not a normal server, they changed the mechanics for the PvE server, why wouldnt they do the same for the PvP one as well?

    I have mailed a pvp server request to the GMs that I think would be beneficial to both players and the company, I hope to get back to them soon.

    The server you are playing on is not a pvp server. Don't you get that? You're just playing on a normal server, just like the MY version. They just refer to it as pvp because it has open pk. Do YOU even think before you post?
