^^^ This helps a lot especially for warriors/barbs used to using Minimap and can go to Mobs immediately faster than just searching and then going to said Mob. a couple seconds may be difference between a life or death if Mobs are tough. Especially when you are defending Clerics/Wizards with low armor.0 -

*n00b - I'd like to make a correction about that one. It was said above, that it is a not-nice way of saying "newby". But I've encountered the term with a meaning "a V-E-R-Y annoying person" - suits better that way
*plvl - people, who are helping to level up lower-levelled players... that action itself may be called "plvl".
a very educating thread btw (by the way) :P0 -

PM what does it mean i hear people say PM me! and how do you do it0
-
PM stands for "Personal Message". In game, the term is "Whisper". You can right click on the person's name in the chat log and choose Whisper, or type /character_name message. For instance:
/zsparta Hi, this is a PM.
This will show up as (IIRC) a pink message. In my chat log it will say:
You say to zsparta Hi, this is a PM.
In your chat log it will say:
Sacagaweia says Hi, this is a PM.0 -
I like this thread, very helpful to new players Like meh ;3 I'm going through the forums before I play the game, it's still downloading.0

I regularly see long posts of complaints which would usually be followed by the word "vent" highlighted in red and bold.
It seems it is one of the tactics employed by factions. I'm not sure what it is used for though.
Any ideas?Believe, level 2 Dreamweaver faction recruiting all classes. PM me in-game or drop me a message for more info!0 -
Okay, could someone please tell me what "RB", "FQ", "TT", "ZHEN", and "DDS" means? I keep seeing it in the world chat, but I can't figure out what they mean and I can't find the answers anywhere.0

Thank you so much for this thread. I was sitting here reading through guides and getting confused because of all the abbreviations. This helps a lot. Now if only I can stop myself from mixing up the classes... I wish they would have kept the old names but it would be easier to use the new ones and discourage use of the old ones but there seems to be a lot of stubborn people here...InStyle is the greatest faction on Dreamweaver! b:victory

RB = Rebirth (Dungeon usually; occasionally Order)
FQ = Friendship Quest
TT = Twilight Temple (same as HH or Holy Hall)
Zhen = A special type of grinding whereby people stand in place using AoE and a "runner" pulls mobs into the effect. Not to be confused with Zen, which is the Pre-gold currency.
DDs = the plural of DD? DD is on the list (damage dealer). I suppose it could be direct draw surface, but I don't know why people would be shouting about it in world chat.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~0 -
Thank you, this helps a lot. But WHAT is a Friendship Quest? Obviously it's where you're to group with others, but how's that different from other quests? And where is the Twilight Temple? Sorry for all the questions. I'm used to WoW, so these are new terms to me.0

you get friendship crystals randomly from mob drops, 1 is required by each player for quest (need 3 people minimum) talk to elder in arch to start the quest there a guide somewhere for all the tricks to it, search function should help
TT is to get lvl 60+ gear mats its a party instance with bosses0 -

-
1-1 = one on one or 1vs1
2-1 = two on one/2vs1
1-2 = one on two/1vs2

might also mean the Twilight Temple(TT) runs.
They're cut into segments depending on level
TT 1-1: This is the first chapter accesible at level 60.
1-2: tougher chapter, cant remember level req, somewhere around 65
1-3: High 60's,low 70's access.
TT 2-1: Accessible by a level 74+ toon.
Dunno how many chapters there are though.RavynSoulle-Venomancer-Dreamweaver0 -
