GET RID OF +9 and above system announcements

Who was the bright individual who thought it would be a great idea for the system to announce when people refined something to +9 or higher? We are getting spammed now on the Etherblade server with announcements. Please get rid of it.

They did a good job fixing CoA spam every week.0

They fixed coa spamming because they disabled coa (unless a gm spawn the event)
So yes, I agree. Get rid of the refine spam. From what I gather, no one gives a single cookie about people refining their stuff to +120 -

id rather see the +9 then the damn ancient emblem spam which is far worse and happens more often

Bump because I believe this thread needs a little more recognition! So ya'll remove ancient emblem spam but add +9 refines or higher on a horn very nonsensical!

Obviously it's to encourage people to refine. Its human - if it gives attention to your name, you are more likely to do it
The more people see other players are refining, the more you'll want to refine too. Not to mention that people will start to believe they are getting behind once they see a refine spam and they aren't refining....

Even during the D.Orb sale, which happens quite rarely, the messages are very minimal. Else just make it appear only when someone refines to +12 if it's that big of an issue to people... Couple red letters really seem to ruin their game experience. Inb4 ''So who else is quitting because of the system messages'' thread.0

I play that other game casually, and one of the only thigs that I hate about it is the regular spam on everything that everyone does, I would not be surprised if pwi start to spam your drops from TT, warsong, fsp or UP soon

I think that at this point it's not just a particular spam that bother people, but any kind of spam. Refine, Coa, emblems... it doesn't matter which it is.
I mean, you're enjoying world chat and it's drama, and all of a sudden, you get this wall of red text. Best when you're trying to click on a name for a party, and you click on the guy that refined.0 -

Sorry I meant to say it's in the other Pwe games but ya you have a point should be a filter like when you hide players in a crowd. You wanna tell me how you turn off horns and system chat? In PWI you cannot turn off system announcements.

As @cbmelo97 said, the idea of announcing the people who refine their equipment is to encourage other players to do the same, buying more gold to get stronger. This is just a market strategy.0

@cyberomega45 it's a server side setting for this shout.
The horns can't be turned off. Well it can by not having them in game. Let's be fair tho they are not as annoying as some.0 -
personally the announcements are annoying but really, whatever. I would rather them spending their time on other issues, bug fixes and other such things.
On the other hand the missing space after the ":" following someone's name is truly annoying.0
