Anniversary Rip-Off Sale?

I dont mean to start off a flame war. I have legitimate questions in regards to this weeks cash shop update.

- Profaned wood @ 18 gold each means you will need to spend $5,400 USD for the required amount.
- Basic Badges @ 70 Silver each. Why is this even a thing? You buy them from players for 200k each. Not 2.8mill each.
- 25 Gold for pets that server no function other than for pure vanity sake.

Now im by no means saying you should lower prices on basic badges, I say you should just remove them from cash shop since its one of the few sustainable ways of farming coin.

But what the hell are the marketing department thinking with these prices? Is this company SO out of touch with its player base? Yes you can farm for these items so dont even bother going down that path (even though i know someone will use that defence). Thats not what im pointing out. Im pointing out why these prices are so grossly high for such meh items?

Kind of glad I dont give my money to a company that fails to understand their community.

I think PWI must have had a change in management or something. Selling Profaned Wood isn't going to generate monstrous revenues. The mechanics and daily entry limit of the UP instance have effectively limited the audience that Profaned Wood would benefit. Not enough people are in a position where they would see benefit in purchasing Profaned Wood.

I don't think the company is making that much money from PWI nowadays. The kind of sales we see now have to target the few people who are still spending huge amount of cash, cause even if there are still a few "casual cashers" I doubt they would ever spend gold on mats. It's just plain milking of the few who are still willing to throw away their money.

Oh theyd still make bank with this game. It is their 3rd/4th most played title. Also its the most expensive one. It is the most played for a month or so when new content comes out too.

So the fact they dont even bother with choosing prices that will fit their game makes no sense and is just disrespectful and greedy.

Gonna go out on a limb here and say maybe CN dictates some pricing schemes? They have alot of imput as it stands, it's not that far of a reach...heh, perhaps CN players found it hard to farm UP after all, so I guess they were like "Oh you can put x items in there". *coughs* Haha I haven't had my tea that last part sounds pretty conspiracy theory.

Basic Badges feel like a "put that out there and see what happens", and the best feedback you can give if you don't like them in there is not buying them. Could still see if swinging Basic Badges in the Event Shop could be an option, but if it ever materializes, we wouldn't know what pricing would look like.

The pets...as far as I can tell aren't available anywhere else (?) Thats just my early morning reactions/impressions.

Well you think one of their most popular games theyd change their approach since **** like this is what make people quit.

It is disrespectful to the community causing more harm to their product.

Well if no one buys these items then chances are we won't see a return of said items in the boutique.

I imagine they are just trying something new.

I do have to say that the price of the badges is borderline offensive, like if someone tried to sell you a burger for 100 USD, sure you can opt to not buy it but you will surely be left thinking was that guy trying to rip me off? this is what it feels like here.

I think the BB will be used a lot.

For people catching up / Not time to farm ETC.

Have to say its an interesting call for the Cash Shop.

Ok, I can understand the catching up when you got no time to farm, but 1 gold for 1 badge? 9 golds for 10?
That's overpriced since in less than 20 minutes (where 15 are spent waiting for timer to be done) you can get at least one when there's Snake's BH...

Nah, prices do make sense for this early stage.
    1. They are a new entry for one.
    2. They target those few maniacs who went for r9r4 wep then went back to r9r3, and are compulsive. I suspect many of them are the kind who secretly cash a lot. Sure, they will tell you that they play for free, but we all know better by this time...
2.1 every non maniac preffers to farm them anyay, since its stupid easy to farm 5 in 30 mins nowadays.
2.2 Even if said people do want to farm the badges, how many do you farm until you get a good to perfect roll? Remember these are ppl who want to dominate pvp, so they will go for a better roll than what they initially had. After 2-3 days of farming they will get the itch to go the easy route and try their luck :D. Who knows...and again, and again...

    Just my 2 cents.

Nah, I think WS is gonna be with us for a very long time.
The WS badges in boutique are only here because certain individuals asked for it on forums. Your 400 badges do not a great roll make most of the times...If you want a close to perfect roll...400 is a joke unless ur too lucky.
