While we're at it, they should probably also be checked for usage of 3rd party programs.

Someone could claim to have spend 20 hours per week on tower while in reality they've just written a script designed to farm points in the first room of the tower, which would also be pretty unfair towards everyone else.

But we could never prove these ppl glitched the timer, and we could never prove people used a script for their point farming, wether they are abusing something ingame or abusing something out of the game... not pointing any fingers ofcourse -shrugs-

If this event ever comes back, just reward the first person that finishes the tower after the reset happens, you know...like a race

So we've been discussing this internally, and we have okay news for some and some bad news for others.

Because there are 3 classes currently that can intentionally or unintentionally trigger the exploit, and due to the discrepancy with the cross server time clock, we are going to call this one a wash. (That's the bad news)

The okay news is that everyone on these lists will now be walking away with a Soul Gem Pack for your troubles.

Our goal was to have the exploit fixed for this contest and unfortunately, not only was it not fixed, but more information was discovered about it's nature. This exploit is currently at the top of our must fix lists.

We really are truly sorry about this inconvenience, and I still want to get this event run and run correctly with as little discrepancy as possible, so look for this again once we are certain the exploit in all it's incarnations has been fixed.

I'll take this one on the chin you guys, we're sorry for the trouble this has caused, so if you want to be angry and mad at me, I understand. I believe in PWI and the community, and I'll keep throwing things at the proverbial wall to see if they stick. Things are getting better despite this bump in the road, you'll see.

Just one question from my side to Domino:
1. Asterelle and some others announced to you the errors.
2. You announced to fix it with a regular maintenance.
3. Everyone was aware afterwards, that it was not fixed -> for more than one month at least.
4. Why did you spend so much time in these list, if this bug was still very known and just find it out now?

Well, I think its better you will not answer this one. Just please improve your communication flow with the community and the things which are happens inside of this game

Nah, I am actually very glad about this. Lets face it. I got highly rbed EU-Sets on both my Barb and Storm -> I dont need S-Cards. I have +12'ed tradeable Star's Destiny and Moon's Embrace -> I dont need a char bound ring. I always wanted the Soulgem packs to begin with.

Besides that...technically..due to the fact that I am the only one with video-proof...well I win this event. Thanks to everyone

So.. I completed my time on 1/28, why did my time not count?

Wrong, wrong wrong. Cross server entries update every day at 6:30 AM, not only on a Wednesday. Clearly the organizers for the event did not even check during the last posted date, but fear not - our friendly GMs can still go back and check the times at this very moment. No one has seriously tried (and placed in the top 5) to do the tower after the event ended - therefore the winners list has remained static ever since.

Tower entries made before 6:30 AM on the 29th show up as a date of the 1-29-16 on the server rankings (because cross server ranks update once each day), any entries submitted after 6:30AM on the 29th would appear as 1-30-16. Simple! The list is unchanged for the winners even to this day! Now, I understand logging into the game might be hard for some people who are overburdened with multiple gaming titles to support - so I've decided to make things even easier for our event organizers.



All eligible times for the winners are listed, just zoom in and send out the rewards to any qualified individuals who submitted on 1-29-16 or earlier. Thank you.

Agreed... Deciding 4 weeks after the event, you're just going to give some other reward is not ok. Try something new and actually follow through with what was promised.

As for possible use of 3d party programs, I have double feelings: on the one hand I can hardly believe everyone spent whole day spamming 1st room manually, and if they did, this is sad cuz was totaly not worth the reward (even chests+items). On the other hand I don't want to accuse anyone in cheating without proves, but if they scripted, this is unfair ofc. This moment when both ways seem bad

I spend like 20 hours of additional time in total for this event but its still ok, actually now I even get more than I've expected. I always just wanted the Soulgem Packs and hey, now I even get 3 instead of 1 as I orginally thought. If I'm lucky than that could be 9 vit stones, not the best farming in terms of money/time but its ok-ish.

to hell with S-Cards, to hell with the useless ring. Just gimme all your Soulgem Packs

Wait what? How would spending a whole day in temple NOT be worth even just the S chest? Even the on sale average price of a S chest is 408mil (816 mil at 40 silver per catalyist) which is nearly 20 mil per hour if y o u spent the entire day, and that's excluding the item rewards from temple. What the heck are you farming that makes that not worth it?

1) Because not all who tried it, won it. Even if you do it and spend 40 hours, it doesn't guarantee you a prize.
2) Many endgame ppl go for A sets instead of random S. Only one S card is nearly worthless, because you need A LOT to make a set and make it better than good A set which is farmable and easier to get. And if you are farming S set, 20mil/hour is a desirable speed of farming if you want to achieve it without CSing before you grow old Else what's the point of spending 2 days for monotonous job and keeping the card in card bag?​​

Is there going to be any complication with people who have had name changes since the competition?
Since I was 6th overall on mystics, I didn't think I'd get anything and couldn't be bothered to try again. I wanted my old name back from before server merges.
So, I name changed from Terrytan (on Tideswell) to terrytini

eh u dont actually need a 3rdparty programme to autofarm room1... my logitech gaming keyboard has built in buttons that record & play back keypresses & mouse clicks... for room1 u walk forward... press f12 to autokill everything... then do 2 clicks to restart room... it is that simple enough for a keyboard to do it on its own.​​

You're still using a 3rd-party program, it just happens to be built into your keyboard. Probably uses almost the exact same code methods as AutoHotkey.​​

all keyboards have their own functions and pwi doesnt give you a keyboard to use or say which u have to use.... theres nothing that says which buttuns u cant use on a gaming keyboard​​

Honestly I never took this competition seriously. Since the beginning I had the feeling that would not work.
As a veno I always got average or rather Mediocre times (about 4 hours or maybe a bit less). The main reasons why I never tried hard was:
First: too much effort, and second: the fact that venos and pet class can glitch would force me to record all the thing so more effort

I think that even if I had got a good time, lets say less than 3h 30m, people still would have hesitated to believe that my time was genuine since I am a veno so why even bother

Still I feel a bit bad for the people that really made the effort to farm all those buffs and stuff since is a pain.
I dont really know joe but since he uploaded the video and all I think that at least he deserves the price and of course same thing can be said if someone else uploaded a video proving their run was legal.

What I really did not like was that at first it was said that a part of the contest was local server and then was changed.
If they had kept a part local i would have won a price by default on my veno since during that time it was only me and other veno doing it on the class prices i mean, In fact I think at some point I would had won first place since i finished thing before others but whatever, not like I really need a S card since I have an A set already

Also I want to say thank you everyone to join this event! This is the first time I tried to do some events with the build-in rank system. I know there are flaws, dissatisfaction, complains, etc. Please help us on events planning so we can enjoy it more !

This is very disappointing since I though cross server ranks reset every week and weren't permanent. Because of that I did my best on Jan. 28 since the event stated it went to the 29th... I did it with no glitch and got 3rd place in storms (SweetHara) but no prize and I'm not even listed here. I could of easily took advantage of the rankings not resetting and pet glitch when it worked for a good time like most did but oh well.

If I still understand this event correctly, I only lost a S Chest for my efforts. I hope you clarify events in the future with end dates because I waited without knowing to get absolutely nothing because it stated the 29th but you ended it on the 27th. Not the best thing to do and again I ended up wasting my entire efforts, but at least I gave it to another player on my Server.



I'll be more careful of future events and not waste my time to try them if you can't follow what you posted and never fixed.

You still have to click it every 15 sec. It only saves you 5 extra tab-attack clicks.​​

i think the soulgem pack only contains 1 vit stone instead of 3, i had a few ppl reporting that 2 years ago.
