sylen i already play on lowest possible settings and graphics, but what can i do on my system to increase the performance? i will set the exception for windows defender but if i read your sticky thread correctly, i need to run elementclient.exe as administrator to prevent the memory leak? is there a way to always run it as administrator automatically?

You can start a thread in tech support providing the information I ask for.
You set the option in the program properties under compatibility settings.

In Win10 you absolutely have to run the client with the "Run as Administrator" box ticked in the program compatibility settings for elementclient.exe. You also can not use any of the other compatibility settings. Running it in compatibility mode for an older OS will actually make it run worse.

I was so happy when they announced they were going to work on coding it for the Angelica III engine. Two years later, and nothing. Truly, if they would just take care of that, it would fix the majority of FPS issues cause by adding new classes and graphics instead of fixing issues or upgrading the engine.

I automaticly start the client as Administrator checked to be 100% sure but absolutely nothing helps against this FPS droping. My brother knows alot about Pc's and issues like this and even he couldn't fix it. Yesterday the FPS even dropped to 2-5 during some 30 vs 30 pk... thats just ridiculous for the Pc i have. Also at yesterday's TW (80 Vs 40-45) lowest settings + simple models and the FPS still to max 5 FPS >.<

There is nothing you can do about this issue... By telling people to use low settings and keep your Pc/laptop clean and updated etc isnt help in my opinion. Myself i always keep my pc clean and updated so that shouldnt be the problem. We should be able to play a game like PWI on full settings without any problems at all. And since most of us got the Pc for it... its clearly PWI that has to step up and use money to update their stuff, but since they are greedy **** like we all know... This could take years or wont ever happen

I have been known to do some pretty amazing things. Most of it is clearing up background processes that are completely wasting RAM and CPU cycles, or fixing up other programs that sit in the background that are incompatible with the client.

Worst case, there's no improvement. You'll never know until you let me at it though. bear-1.gif
It's almost completely free to you. (Some effort is required on your part of course.) I will analyze it in my spare time. I usually take about an hour to to a thorough report.

Thanks for the offer but i've already done that, Cleared any background processes etc... Dont have any programs that could actually give trouble. Pc is clean besides having skype / pwi / few onther games drivers etc. The only thing that i still could do is turn off Windows Defender but would be kinda dumm to do since its the only protection i have :pensive:

Besides all this why cant we just have an answer of PWI about this... Not like they are fixing any bugs or so ever so i'm sure they got plenty of time to reply to this

I've sent an email. Expect some answers Soon(tm).

3 Months later... Any news? We already cant play this game normal since FPS drops to 0 whenever there is a big Pk / NW / TW... And with the upcomming expansion and the new skills in it i'm sure this FPS dropping will turn in 24/7 client crashes during TW / PK / NW...

You must be playing on a toaster. A lot of us that updated our PC's within the last 5 years to having some real hardware don't seem to have this problem. You might want to consider taking SylenThunder up on his offer to help. He worked wonders for my PC before I finally went out and built a new one.

I do agree that the client engine needs an update to work better with current hardware, but if youre having issues like you describe, that's more on your PC than the client since most people don't have your issue.

actually aparently i've been told that toasters work better with this game. No money in the world will get your computer to run this game better. Trust I know from experience, as far as computers go mine is top-of-line:
    Intel Core i7-4960X @ 3.6GHz (4.3 overclock), 6 core hyperthread (12core), 32GB RAM
and i still lag a ton in tw even using simple models and turning off some of the lighting effects.

Which is something I find odd. I play on an i7-3930k hexacore, 16GB RAM, and a 660Ti. I have no issue with a mostly stable 30FPS in large TW battles. The worst I've seen was it dropped down to 14FPS when we were at the one NPC to enter cross-server TW because I was still at full graphics settings.

Yes, the client still has many issues, but if you have a halfway decent system you shouldn't have that kind of trouble. It's perfectly playable on a Core 2 Quad Q6600 with 6GB RAM and a GTX650, and you can expect the FPS dipping below 20 to be a rare occurrence on that system, with the norm being around 30-40.

What is really funny though, is the huge number of you that will **** and moan about how crappy your experience is, yet you do nothing to try to get help in resolving it. If you do today, what you did yesterday, you will always get what you got.

Seriously SylenThunder if you really know that much about all this then you should know that with the pc you have 14 / 30 FPS is just TOTAL [REMOVED] for a game like this. I have my brother that surely know as much as you do or even more about Pc's and stuff like this. He tried everything and nothing wants to work. So there is just 0.00000% chance that its my computer or my network cause thats totally fine aswell.

    GTX 970 4GB
    16 GB Ram
    Intel Core i7-3770 3,40 GHz
    Router: ASUS RT-AC87U

    Network:
    9 Ping
    Downloading: 151,25 Mbps
    Uploading: 15,46 Mbps

We got a new modem like 2 months ago so that also cant be the problem

You need to read my sticky for the information I'd need to help. Even given that you've got a half-decent system, there are plenty of other variables than can, and will, cause a problem with your client's ability to function.

Man please... i never lagged before those new classes came in game. The client is just simpely to ******* old to handle all this. You should stop acting like Perfect World is a real perfect world and that they are always right. They are just simpely to greedy to pay money to upgrade their stuff. You somebody that knows a bit of pc's network stuff like that should understand that with the Pc you and me have should be able to play a game like this 24/7 with 60 FPS with V-sync on without any problems.

    grabs popcorn
    waits PWI launched on steam
    Reading cooments of random people

And yes i agree that the new classes are the problem, and probably we cant delete them can we? So there must be a solution.
Try 4-5 Stormbringers unleash the vortex in a base with 80vs80 and tell me again @sylenthunder if your fps are still 14-30

Normally relogging helps in tw, but i rarely get above 15-20 fps (which is apparently pretty good) even when i turn on simple models and turn half the lighting effects off. However I always keep both my distances max and the system setting graphics on high. Your "experience" in tw, by any chance are those 70v80 battles or anything close to that size? The tw map appears to have a hard cap of when it begins to lag, it normally starts for me around 40v40, anything below that doesn't really lag at all and it becomes increasingly worse the longer your inside and the more the people.

I only started to lag bad when the merged servers. 2.5-3 times the lag. I even updated my PC (everything brand new and way better compared to what I was using). Lag remains. Doesnt matter much anymore as I cant do events because of the 8 hours or whatever it is time difference now.
