We are quick to critize , so we need to offer thanks when they listen as well.
They implemented UNBOUND rp back into the game, at significant levels, this was in the preview testing as a primary concern to many of us.
Thank you.
They gated tiamat higher and reduced difficulty, I think maybe a little more gating.. but hey.. lvl 60 with sub 20% arp is no longer getting into tiamat. Good change.
They added a progression armor for those who want it (I dont think they are needed, but some wanted it, so it was listened to and added)
They removed exploits and now all the silly people who paid a fortune to rank up some silly companion.. can you suck eggs.
You can argue THEY do not implement some feedback fast enough, thats true enough, or WHEN they remove something they should give something back at the same time. How many wouldve felt less cheated about hoards if they explained to us that we want to move to a more content driven RP gain, vs random mob farming. ITs understandable in the end.
However, as someone who has massively criticized the work done for mod 6, I would like to thank them for these postive changes.
Now.. will someone revamp the HAMSTER mod 6 dc work already =P... Not kidding. Oh,,, and figure out how to make paladin playable in pvp without being a lol toon. Trade in some survibility for pvp for some more damage or something..
+1 for the thanks about the RP , just did the IWP circuit with about 15 others for 20-30 minutes and ended up with around 100k RP in aquamarines and peridots , this is exactly what we needed , good job cryptic.
Agreed, and I'm grateful for what was done.
Finally there's a reward for actually playing the game - it's incredible! - goodbye SCA!

Zerg and Kelt have never hesitated to thank Cryptic >.>
It is good when devs seem to actually listen to player feedback. Happy players generate alot of income, no publicity is as good as free publicity and a happy community spreads good news like no other!

I have posted many.. many go suck egg posts to them as well..
I am not exempt from the vault =P..
They have made some terrible, just ghastly decisions since mod 4, and Ive voiced my opinions, but I do appreciate it when they listen as well.

Yes a thank you is in order, so thanks.
This last patch was the best thing to happen to NW since pretty much mod 2. They solved some exploits/bug, they added BoE RP in meaningful quantities, unlike the RP in dungeons, and while not related to the patch, we've actually seen some devs on the forums
Don't know what happened, but if they continue like this, in a few months we'll have a pretty good game once again, just like it was pre-mod 2 or even better, since we'll have guild halls too, something i've been waiting for since open beta.
I see a lot of positive changes, communication has improved, the devs are working with the community to improve things. Is it happening fast? No. Is it going to fix everything every player wants? No. But it is still a positive move and worthy of acknowledgement.
If we cant tell them when they are doing good, they are less likely to continue to do so. Negative feedback can get them to alter course, but positive feedback can help them maintain it.
Basically, I agree that todays patch has done more good than harm. And greatly appreciate that things are moving, and in the right direction.
RP: Well implemented, 2 flies swatted with one swipe: RP can be acquired by playing stuff again, and the tougher stuff in campaignistan gets meaningful rewards. Kudos for great minimax play. No thanks, though, because, while it compensates it a bit it doesn't right neither the DH nerf, nor the undehanded and perfidious way of its inplementation. Thanks are IMO only due for making them unbound. On the down side, it'll bring the worst out in some players... "...I have one word for you - ...!" Which will, ofc also happen in Tia's - and thus the difficulty will get stiffer there, again. But this, too, was a due move, and thanks for bringing it online.
Intermediate armour: While Silverkelt is right for 4-5 of the classes when played by good players and with otherwise good gear, or guild-runners, too, others do IMHO profit from access to it. WHEN it'll be available as it should. The stiff price tag will anyway lead to only those players going for it, that feel that need. IMHO the DR gear also offers a stat combo alternative that is meaningful for most chars, and that is something I'll say thanks for when it works...
...but even there: Better a visible, though not yet perfect effort than nothing.
Thank you for the positive feedback, everyone! The devs and the communications team have been working really hard and this thread is fuel to keep us going.

Yes indeed, thanks for the changes and the motivation and decisions that now seem to be guiding those changes. This makes me feel better about Mod 7, Mod 8 and whatever lies beyond. I do wonder one thing though, whatever happened with that super secret PvP related update that we've been looking forward to? Champions League or some such...3v3 PvP, Premade exclusive queue, etc.?

Take a peek at the calender in game. There seems to be a month long PVP type event due to start in the next few weeks.
Thank you for the positive steps and talking to us! omg seeing explanations for things so we know what to expect is amazing!
Only good (in our eyes) surprises are welcome. You wont ever get it right all the time but thank you heaps when you do!

I've already shown my appreciation by spending some money on Zen. I like the direction in which the game is going, but there's a long way to go, so pleased keep it up.
Thanks

Just wanted to put in my "thanks" as well. It's been a lot of fun this weekend farming HE's in IWD with my guildmates. Everyone is pretty happy to see that we have something that a) we can do in a big group and b) actually helps us make a big dent in our artifact RP needs.
Thank you for the positive feedback, everyone! The devs and the communications team have been working really hard and this thread is fuel to keep us going.
Communications team? I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not. Cryptic has so little communication that half the time we can't tell if something was intentionally ninja nerfed or it was another bug introduced (IE, dragon hoards, SCA Loyal equipment drop rate reduction, AD removal from packs, etc). Random developers' twitter feeds are the best source of information about this game often. By "communications team," do you mean the mods who delete every post in the forum that isn't positive about the game/company?

would like an answer to this as well from someone. before those guys send it to 404 like they do with most of stuff here.
Cant wait for all the crying when this absurdly high drop rate is getting nerfed in NeXT patch:) And yeah as much as i like getting 100k+RP pr. hour this is obv. not working as intended... If this goes on you will be able to buy stacks of aquamarines for 5k in a few weeks...
