I don't believe it will have the entire effect we want. Some of the other changes we are working on were too risky to try and push live in such a short time frame without enough testing.
One thing you can try is one of these things temporarily to try and snag some extra performance out of the fight:
/reduce_mip 1 (/reduce_mip 0 to reverse)
This reduces the texture mip level used by all textures that are drawn. The end result is that the game is a little blurrier (characters and environment).
Options | Advanced | Character Detail
Lower this option to 50%. This does something similar to /reduce_mip 1, but just for characters and not for FX or the environment. Setting this to 50% will likely produce the same exact result as setting /reduce_mip 1, but without sacrificing environment or FX visual fidelity.
Level 59 Rare neck items from dropping in Dragon Heroic encounters in Well of Dragons.
Level 59 blue items drop in most of the other post level 60 content on occasion. Is this intended? My only info is this old post which suggests not. Is this patch note specific to WoD?

I'll try the MIP option, but i did try character details and no effect whatsoever. When i do netgraph, my receive ping is astronomical (sometimes spiking over 80,000)
With the exception of 30 people zerging one dragon, the rest of the game is smooth.

There are times when the 3 item set bonus of the Lathander set, injury immunity, does not work and you gain an injury. If you fall to your death, you die and gain an injury. If you had been revived and have revive sickness and are hit with some kill effects you can gain a couple of injuries, afterward you will not have the "Injury Immunity" buff either. When you lose the injury immunity buff the only way to get it back is to remove one of the parts of the set and put it back on.
I've been doing Tiamat runs and that lightning attack that gives no warning and kills anyone it hits has given me 2 injuries at a time. Its possible that my soulforge is causing something odd, but I got the full set so that I would not need to use injury kits and I've gone through 40 or so of them since I started doing Tiamat runs. I'm getting tired of having to heal injuries that I should not be getting.
A possible solution would be to have the set give you a buff that heals injuries every couple of seconds.

Akro has already posted elsewhere that the target for those changes is for next week's patch (12/18).
