This is probably the biggest, most game breaking bug I have ever seen in any game I've played since 1999.
This bug was reported over a month ago and it is still in the game. This needs to be fixed NOW.
You can share any quest with your party members, regardless of whether or not they have already completed it, and they can turn it in again for all the rewards (xp, money, items, etc...). This can be done as many times as you want with any quest.
This means a few people can get together and stand at Sgt. Knox sharing a quest over and over again and level up. They never have to fight...or even move. They just continually get xp, items, and money for turning the quest in over and over again.
This is not just some little bug that doesn't matter. This is a full on catastrophe. This needs major attention. I would even support pushing back the launch date in order to get this fixed before going live.
Please bug report this in game so the right people will see it and do something.

Its pretty hard to fix, but not break the ability to share quests with friends. Guess they could add a flag to the 'meet X' quests as 'cannot be shared' or something.
I personally like the fact I can share foundry missions and story with people as you adventure.
People are hitting max level in 5-7 days without cheating. If they really want to skip all the content ... let them.
It also takes forever going 225xp at a time lol. Higher levels that is a drop in the bucket.

I don't see why it would be hard to fix. Almost every other MMO has quest sharing but if someone has already completed that quest it says "Soandso is not eligibile" or "Soandso has already completed this quest".
Its as simple as giving each character a file that updates and adds the quest name each time they complete a quest. When someone shares a quest with them, the file is checked to see if they have already completed it; if they have then they are not eligible for the quest.

100% agree to this. If people want to cheat to level-up fast without actually playing the content they WILL find a way. So let them. How does it affect your game? If you find a way to cheat so you can level-up from 1 to 60 in two hours, how does that affect me, who wants to enjoy the content?
The Devs have already announced (to Alpha testers) that they are aware of these bugs and are working on them with the hope of having most, if not all of them quashed by open beta. However the highest priority is with exploits (cheating to earn gear that can be traded and such). Exploits like the one in the OP do not affect other people directly or even indirectly, so it's probably low priority.
I'm sure (and hopeful) it will get fixed, eventually.

To be honest, anyone that is thinking its only an issue for cheating hasnt run around with friends who are 4 or 5 levels lower and continually getting the same quest shared with them (by all their friends when they happen to log in and group). I spent most of today getting very annoyed that i was getting the same quests id done yesterday all handed back to me again. Yes i can drop them. Yes i can change the stupid glitter trail to go else where, but i shouldnt have to. I group up with friends to make it easier to chat, half the time im busy declining quests in the middle of combat (though im not sure if thats suppose to even happen :S)
Im actually wondering if they are leaving it in to see how many people do the dodgy so they have an idea of what release will be like lol

Bump +1. OP bug described should be fixed before beta.

It actually is extreamly abusive and effects many.
How about people cheat out the quest that gives A random Profession asset, then people can be running around with a full stack of 10 epics of each even though they are Zen obtained only aside from this quest.
And later quests can give far more than 200 xp, and having a group of people at endgame by abuse farming endgame content breaks the market and players value of the game.
Fix the bug, and ban the players who break it in live.

Perhaps they have not "fixed" this, so people in beta can quickly level toons up and not get bogged down doing low level quests for multiple toons. I'm sure it will be fixed for openbeta. If not, I look forward to hitting level 60 in a few hours
I haven't' seen this bug but my favorite bug is the respawning treasure chests that allow you to loot them several times because of broken quests. I keep submitting tickets on it but never get any response. With bugs like that the economy will be ruined.
Do you get faster xp than just running your favourite Foundry mission over and over?
From what I could see the rewards and xp of the story missions are level set so I would think at some point it would become a waste of time.
Hey everyone,
Thanks for the persistent feedback on this. We've been hard at work hunting down all the exploits that have turned up in Alpha and Beta. We didn't find the exact cause of this one until just this week and it should be fixed now. Basically you can't share these hand-off style quests any more.
A couple people have asked about being able to share quests with a player who doesn't meet the requirements or has already done it. That is something we have in place to make teaming with your friends super easy even if you are at different levels or parts of the game. So if you don't qualify or have already finished a mission your friends can still share it with you and you'll get a smaller portion of the rewards than if you qualify and are doing it for the first time. We want to make sure you still get something for yourself if you're helping friends out!
It's the same system we've used in STO and Champs. There were two bugs in how it was setup for Neverwinter that created this exploit and a similar one but they're fixed now.
Again thanks for continuing to post about this, I can honestly say there were edge cases in our fixes we wouldn't have found without your feedback!

Perfect fix Zeke - thanks for getting this in before launch!
Yea i hope they will fix this exploit. If not same people reach lvl 60 in 3 days.
I'll be 60 within 3 days, without any exploits, leveling in this game is incredibly easy.
On a side note, I know someone who got from level 4 to level 50 this last beta in about an hour using what was described in this thread. Glad they fixed it, lets the people that actually like to race to level cap feel like we've accomplished something lol

I know I am never the first, but I like at least being among the first to experience new content and explore new areas, which is part of the power-leveling experience for me. Then you get a strong set group of skilled players and you make up your own tactics for the dungeons etc and you help the community by supplying information and possibly gear. Later I make another character that might take a month to max. Yes, I do these things for myself because I like it. I love when people say things like "wow, you're already 60 and have cleared that stuff? Good work!". I like the attention!
If exploits like these would have persisted, most of my work would have seemed useless. So good job fixing it!
Go for the eyes, Boo! Go for the eyes!

I know who you are talking about and he said he has no qualms with leveling legit. I am glad it is fixed also so that people who earn the things they accomplish get the rewards for the things you work for.

To clarify, and make sure I haven't unintentionally been exploiting, being able to accept quests that I have already completed, and getting rewards for them when I run them with guildmates, is NOT an exploit, and is working as intended?
Specifically, the quest that concerns me the most is "A Doomguide's Duty"

I'm still hoping for a Yay/Nay on if repeatedly doing the Doomguide's Duty is an exploit, or working as intended

Would also love to see the answer to this. It's not like you sit there opening and closing the chest again for rewards. You DO have to actually do the quest to get the rewards. I personally don't feel like it is an exploit.

Honestly - it was a little embarrassing that it went on for so long. But we found the final stragglers that were exploitable and fixed them.
Thanks guys.

Outstanding! Thanks for all the hard work you guys are putting in! It is for reasons like this I shelled out $260 for your product.
