Are you interested in Early Access testing? We are interested in your interest! We are currently seeking to expand our pool of player testers across a variety of playstyles, skills, and experience.
What is Early Access testing?Early Access (or Closed Alpha) testing is an initiative that began several years ago as a way to engage the community earlier in the development cycle. Players are invited to join and provide feedback on specific content and features ranging from trials, dungeons, zones, gear, visuals, etc.
What are the qualifications to be an Early Access tester?General qualities to be an Early Access tester include:
- Be in good standing with the game and the community (not currently banned, no history of pervasive abuse and toxic behavior).
- Ability to provide feedback in a clear and focused manner.
- Be respectful and civil towards the development team and other tested.
- Adhere to the signed NDA.
- Have access to Discord.
Feature specific features can include:
- Being part of a 5 or 10-person team (content dependent) that can bring their group cohesiveness to early testing.
- For Master level content: have the item level and experience running Master content.
- For Standard/normal mode content: have more casual experience and gear/skills aligned with a more casual gameplay approach, does not blow through standard content.
- For dungeons/trials: have availability between 10am and 5pm PT on weekdays.
Is there any compensation for Early Access testing?Early Access is strictly voluntary and does not offer any set compensation. For past runs we have provided codes for in-game items such as capes, titles, mounts, and vanity pets. While these are not guaranteed, we do look to show our appreciation when possible.
How do I sign up for future Early Access initiatives? If you are interested in participating in future Early Access runs, please send an email to
community@crypticstudios.com with the subject “
Neverwinter Early Access” and the following info:
- Account name
- Name of character you’d be interested in testing with (can be multiple)
- Classes you play
- Level of playskill
Early Access is an invaluable tool that allow us to capture player feedback live and better iterate based on said feedback prior to content release. We look forward to hearing from the full spectrum of players, from endgame to casual!
