Playing TERA since it's F2P now and has the same type of action combat. It's also a AAA title and looks amazing. Go visit the High Elf city there to see what I'm talking about.

Last quest is great. Indoor area is really well done with some interesting mechanics. Makes me really excited to see what we can do as authors.

Ha. That was the first mission I even did, the Discovery in the wood one. I ignored the main quests and went straight to Foundry. If they had marketed this as more of a kickstarter, you know, spend some to support the final development of the game then I don't think it would be a big an issue as it's become. Blatantly selling access to Beta is not good way to start a game community.

I have to agree that this is an absurd concept. Beta testing is for testing.. you should have full knowledge going in what is happening to all the junk you might want to purchase to TEST that it's working correctly. There should be no carry over whatsoever, full stop. Everyone should be free to spend their entire allotment…

Likely you will be able to 'test' using the diamonds, but anything you buy whilst in Beta is wiped and you restart with all your diamonds back and a new character during launch. Beta is for testing, not for getting a head start in the game.

NDA is almost impossible to enforce these days. Stuff will end up on Youtube regardless so I doubt they will have one. Beta testing has changed. Fun to watch but as stated has nothing to do with the actual game. I really don't like CGI trailers that show abilities and skills that aren't actually in the game at all. Or can a Wizard actually levitate a huge mass of stone and use it as a shield as shown in that in trailer?

Since there is a free 14 day trial for PC Gamer.. you can basically get this for free if redeem then cancel. Seems kinda silly.

Neverwinter now.. Elder Scrolls when it's out (which is likely not to be until the very end of the year or pushed back to 2014). Play them all as I do. SWtoR on Monday, TERA on Tues, Champions Online on Wed, Star Trek Online on Thurs... one benefit of F2P.
