It's likely that the high traffic generated by the new module is causing server response lag. The gateway (as I've experienced in the past) does not take kindly to any lag no matter how minute. Addendum: had issues earlier but didn't have a problem when my network connection to the gateway stabilized.

I understand why Account Guard is useful (not only for players but for Cryptic/PWE as well) so I wouldn't hold my breath that they'd let you 'opt out'. A mechanism to prevent immediate "Accept"ance when a player changes the trade would definitely be welcome. Ok. Never mind, I just exited the game and let it update the launcher. Once inside, there was a notice saying that it was temporarily down.

ah, thanks becky. I just find it odd since the Lillend thing is kicking off and the Pack descriptions don't reflect it. Not to mention this is the first time (as I recall) that maintenance didn't have an accompanying patch since I started in August.

Sorry to go off topic.... but couldn't find where else to ask this... Was there a patch after the server went down for maintenance? The reason I ask is that I can't find this week's patch notes and when my Launcher kicked off, it didn't download/patch anything. Just wondering if something is messed up on my end or there…

Yeah, this would be a great feature for the game. Specially if you include the guild functionality in STO (Star Trek Online) where you earn points for your contributions. If you didn't disable incremental updates on the launcher, it may be downloading some stuff off the server.
