Don't know if this is relevant but I found out that during the casting animation of Steal Time, Nightmare Wizardry and Storm Spell can be activated.

@Astral and Amivo Thanks for the tips. So AP is basically for your Ultras (for lack of a better word). Now I know there is some freedom for my build I feel a lot more comfortable digging into this game.
