Why do people keep saying this?? I'm as dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to computers, but even I know most people use a proxy and, or can have their ISP's change their IP's with a phone call. IP bans are not the solution.

Well if they used VMware HA/DRS would keep the servers running 100% even during a hardware outage. the VM's would be moved to a active working server with no outage to the users at all.
