  • Problem solved, I guess. As far as I know, there has been no indication low levels will ever get skirmishes back. Not holding my breath on the events, given how April Fowls is being handled. Can't outlevel what doesn't exist.
  • I have been trying to find out why they set the level of this so high. (It seems to be 36 or 37, though, not 40, so even stranger). No answer from anyone yet.
  • The April Fowls quests are a blast. Fun, quick, with fluff rewards at the vendor! But...why in all the worlds is it only available for players level 40 and up? I have a group that plays only once every two weeks for a livestream and we have a great time with the game, but the group members are only levels 30-35 at the…
  • Here is the link https://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/detail/11399543-april-fowls-day-%E2%80%93-a-crow-for-help%21 But the event seems to have a pretty high minimum level to get the quest. Level 35 is apparently too low. I don't know what level you need to be or why it is so restricted.
  • Looks like the comments in that thread may have been about the incentive tokens that were apparently part of the AI campaign back then? That aspect of the recruitment event is different now, with all the tokens in the level up boxes, so the same may not apply there. This seems like it should be a basic bit of information…
  • I'm not disconnected every time I transfer maps, but it has happened quite a bit over the past week. My guess was that between the Recruitment event and people being indoors and online more lately, the servers are busier than normal.
  • CTAs are events, so not always available. Plus, if anything is scaled, given how well the scaling is done for the Winter event, I think it is better for me to just accept that skirmishes are gone until endgame, possibly for good. Apparently enough of the playerbase sees leveling only as something to endure and get past as…
  • Thank you. Yeah, I was not sure what to call it other than "not random". :) Coming in to this a couple months later all I had to go on was that initial announcement. Do you know whether it is also confirmed that there is no intention to bring skirmishes back to lower levels where they were? Or might they be back, if only…
  • What about when I had a full party already grouped and selected the skirmish specifically? That is as far from random as it gets. And is what we did, so that is why the two are very different in my mind. The announcement was far from clear on what was going on. Someone told me that the change is also permanent? So low…
  • Except I never picked them under the random queue, I always selected them directly. Maybe I am not understanding what "random queue" means here. I thought it was the one where, when selected, you would be put into any of the (at the time) dungeons or skirmishes available to your level. as opposed to selecting a specific…
  • Thanks for the answers, all. I guess we can hope for some updates to the Foundry interface down the road.
  • Finally had a chance to get in game and check out droprates. Truthfully, I noticed the xp difference, but was still getting what seemed a normal number of drops per fight. Granted, this was a mission I had not done before, so it may be different if I repeat.
  • I actually agree that things are not black and white. That is obviously both an oversimplification and overreaction to the situation. But so is saying that this update killed the Foundry, that people are leaving, that the game is over. The update has been live for how long? Has there even been a response from the devs yet?…
  • See, you seem like you were playing a balanced game. I was referring to people who said there would be zero reason to play any Foundry quests without all the item drops. As I noted, I do think there should be items dropped in the quests. If removing them was an intended change, I'm not sure why it was done, either, but…
  • Because if playing Foundry quests is done ONLY for the xp and item drops, then that would imply the xp and items are better or more easily acquired in foundry content than in normal content. I am not saying that those who play differently than I do are wrong, just that if player-created content is ONLY used to more…
  • While I agree there should be *some* item drops from mobs in Foundry quests, if that is the ONLY reason people are playing then there are bigger problems. I play the Foundry quests for the stories and creativity of the authors and I will continue to play, drops or no drops.
  • Usually the +x does seem to indicate better stats on an item. The two you were looking at, were they identical aside from the +2? Was the +2 one maybe equippable at a lower level than the other?
  • Nope, won't mention it at all. ;) I did not go for a cleric companion because in earlier betas the companion AI was such that it was always dead anyway. Not to say a companion wasn't useful at all, just that I went for the extra protection and damage over a few heals before the companion ate floorboards. Have they improved…
  • I don't think automatic health regen is a particularly D&D concept, so it might be out of place here. I am probably jinxing myself by typing this, but I have not had too many issues so far with health. Then again, I play Control Wizard and Devoted Cleric. On the one, I can heal myself and on the other it is rare for things…
  • I agree on this map. I played it once yesterday and, while it was not exactly my cup of tea, I saw nothing wrong with it. I actually thought it was a good training mission and left feedback saying so. I would have wished for more variety myself (it felt like additional "waves" were just added to pad out the time) and had…
  • Don't quite see it destroying the game. In fact, scaling would make it much easier to bring new friends into Neverwinter and play alongside them without rolling a new character each time. We know it can be done at some level because it is there for PvP matches.
  • Calling it Open Beta might be more of a cya kind of thing when it comes to any potential problems or downtime. As others are saying, there seems to be zero difference between this and an actual launch. I also saw a note that the 3 shards will be merged at some point. Maybe that will be considered actual "launch day".
  • "Note: There will be no character wipes after April 25th." http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?117801-Neverwinter-Open-Beta-begins-April-30-2013!
  • Of all the times to leave the pepper-spray at home...
  • Probably got the idea in game where it says celestial coins will vanish if you do not invoke at least once a day. Add that to the timer when you hover over the celestial coin amount and you can see you have 1 day 5 hours to invoke again before they *poof*. And yes, it means logging in each day, which is why it is…
  • Black Lion Black Raven Blue Bear Gray Wolf
  • Halarahh While I will grant I did not know the answer off the top of my head, at least I looked it up. A few early posts in this thread prove not everyone would do even that much. :P
  • Harrowdale, Highdale, Mistledale, Shadowdale, Scardale, Tasseldale
