My only tip is that you don't need to fight everything. Some mobs can just be avoided (hug walls, etc). This is fairly nice if you're soloing.

Just making sure you saw that this doesn't stop you from sending messages, you merely have to be friends with them first. This means I can send mail to anyone on my friend list from level 1; I cannot spam random people until level 15.
