  • Gearscore is a blight in MMOs. Also, anyone wanting to judge another players' ability to handle a dungeon without actually seeing them fight in a dungeon is an idiot.
  • Why? Why is this some cast-in-stone, no-other-idea-can-ever-be-considered law?
  • Worst. Idea. Ever. I can think of no faster way to get people to quit. If you disagree, ask yourself how many people are quitting now because items are NOT BoP.
  • Yep, if this game goes BoP, it'd kill it for me. I hate hate HATE forced grouping. MMOs do NOT need some kind of cast-in-stone law that demands the only way to get the best gear is through group-only quests. That only needs to be one of the ways. So, if my only option for obtaining the gear is forced grouping (since the…

  • For me, it's not about avoiding challenge. It's about the stupidity of a design that requires your character to DIE in order to learn. Here's how I would do it: I would reduce the difficulty of everything by 50%. Then, every character gets ONE chance at every encounter, success or failure. That character can never again…
  • You want flames? I'll take the heat. Here's how I feel about dungeons: ALL bosses should be beatable on the FIRST try by an average-skilled group in average gear. I think most MMOs notion of 'you have to die repeatedly to learn the fight' is ***king moronic.
  • I have the opposite issue. I hate PvP. I mean, I fricking HATE PvP. And the genius designers go and create a dungeon that forces people to do both. I feel bad for the people who get me on their team, at least during the PvP part. When it happens, I'll probably just hit the /dance emote, and wait til it's over.
  • Same here. And as a 30+ year vet of the tabletop version, 4e is the first and only version of D&D where the classes are balanced. Every other version has fighters over level 9 being caddies for the wizard.
  • BoP would ruin this game. I am SO glad one MMO doesn't force me to do un-fun dungeon runs to progress my character. Is it some sort of MMO law that says "all MMOs must force grouping as the only way to progress at endgame"?
  • This. I have no interest in PvP'ing in any form on this game. Please keep PvE and PvP separate, as they should be. As for the patch, classes that needed buffing finally got it. If it's enough remains to be seen. Ultimately, they need to be just as useful as the other classes or it's not enough. Except for the double…
  • I HATE forced grouping in any game. That is, ANY content that requires you to have x number of people to do. For myself, that content might as well not even exist. Guild Wars was a step in the right direction with hirelings, as was DDO. I'll never again play an MMO that locks all the BIS gear behind group only content.…

  • 1. When can we see the patch notes for the changes? I'd very much like to read the details of the update. 2. Since the changes are so extensive, will we be given a free respec? 3. Will new paragon paths be offered in this update? 4. Is any of the new content for soloers? There's little for a soloer to do outside of Foundry…
  • Very much looking forward to this. However, if you are making sweeping changes to mechanics, ONE free respec seems fair. I've no problem with charging for respecs in general, but if you change the numbers after people have made their build, one chance to redo to take advantage of those changes is a reasonable request.
  • They have learned. MMO developers have learned that they can release an unfinished game, call it beta, include a cash shop, and they'll make a fortune in 6 weeks.
  • The trash needs to worth fighting. It needs reasons to be there other than 'to make it take longer'. Otherwise, it's just a dull chore, that offers no threat, that parties must get over with just to get to the fun part. Make the trash fun and worthwhile to fight and most players will choose to do it.
  • Is this wishful thinking, or do you have a link?
  • This is one of the reasons I rarely group any more. It's always GO GO GO liked it an unpleasant chore that you want done and over with. Also, perfection or near perfection should NOT be required in the hardest content. I want to relax and play a friggin' game, not qualify for the video olympics.
  • And so ALL MMOs for ALL time MUST do it that way? No MMO should ever even consider another method? I'm loving the fact that I can buy BIS gear, because every dungeon run is 20 very boring minutes of clearing trash for 5 minutes of fun (questionable fun when all bosses = more adds). I'd be happy to earn my gear, but offer…
  • The problem is that the game equates ignore with report. No one should get banned for being placed on ignore by several people, which I think is the cause of most of these chat ban complaints.
  • This. There's nothing wrong at all with rogues. They need to make the other classes more fun to play.
  • This is the other part of the problem. Lots of players want to buy and sell items for gold. There needs to be a secondary AH for this.
  • This. I that number should be 121, and the ban shouldn't apply to team chat or guild chat. Personally, I rarely report anyone except Goldsellers, or very extreme language posts. However, I do frequently put people on ignore.
  • The OP is right. For now. I'm okay with giving them some more time to address these. If the majority of these issues still exist by the end of July, well then, I'd say that'd be a good indicator of how unimportant they are to the devs.
  • Many people say this but I can find no definition nor law which states it is true. If the game is telling you it's a beta, then you either accept it as incomplete and with bugs, or don't pay any money. If you do, you took the risks with eyes wide open.
  • It would be unreasonable if the customer has paid any money to the company. I can't understand how this works in Germany. If I buy, say, a lawnmower and I get it home and it doesn't work I have to pay money to get support to help with this problem? If that's true, it's outrageous.
  • Regarding farming nodes: I don't think PWE would have any issues with you running around an area farming your heart out. But you when you farm part of an instance, reset, and repeat, you should be able to clearly see that that's not intended behaviour. Regarding macros, just my opinion, but I think that anything more than…
  • Horrible, horrible suggestion because this might actually become practice. Imagine how long not paying will take then?
