That's really a shame. The creativity of the player base is amazing. The idea of harnessing that creativity is what originally attracted me to this game.
I'm older than you. But I meant "old player" as in "previous player," not "player who has been on Earth long enough to yell at kids to get off his lawn." :) Another question: what is this "RP" people are discussing on the forums? It's not Roleplaying; it's some kind of item or currency.
I recently tried having an NPC attack the player at a certain point in the dialogue, but it didn't work well. You have to make the NPC disappear, and then you have to make a mob that looks just like the NPC appear in the same place. I was able to make the NPC disappear, and I was able to make the mob look just like the NPC…
I gave that a try. It did seem to help a little (my companion still aggro'd, but I wasn't put into combat mode), but it ended up not working. One mob out of a group came through the wall. After that, I was in combat mode. :( Moving expected locations of the fights does seem to be working, though. I think I'll do that…
I think I detect a pattern. It seems to happen only when a fight takes place near the wall that separates the mobs. In other words, just walking by the wall won't trigger it; you have to fight other mobs near the wall. I'm testing this hypothesis.
I was having the same problem last night. I've never had this problem before. It's really annoying and time-consuming. I'll try the Ctrl-S thing tonight.
I'm so sorry this happened to you, and it was so unjust. Your quests are awesome. When a quest is banned, does it mean your quest is actually deleted, i.e., you have to recreate it from scratch? Are backups deleted?
I thought the same thing at first, but the info he posted is publicly available, i.e., anybody in the game can see it. The person he's complaining about intentionally put the information out for the public to see. I don't know if that makes a difference as far as the rule against naming specific players in the forums, but…
That would be better than what they've done. When the XP nerf is so broad that it even gimps foundry quests like "I am Slayer," a featured quest and the winner of the foundry contest, you know it's gone too far. Unfortunately, I doubt they have the manpower to examine the huge number of foundry quests that are being…
