Not sure you'll need to worry about respeccing the way the game is going. I doubt many will be playing once they get around to actually fixing abilities (if they are capable) and creating content that's actually compelling to play and not just 3 slightly different variations of every other fight with either less or more…
Not to mention... we need an initial roll respec! It's really sad that those that didn't know/realize how badly you can cripple your character comparatively have no option to repair that with a respec.
Hey, you may need to use some of that newly price reduced dye remover on your nose. Just saying. :) What I want to know is when they are going to reduce the ridiculous price of removing enchantments....
See that's the thing. Elitists (or those that want you to believe they are) will always gloss over the realities in favor of grandstanding. First off for those that actually do have good skills they feel that the game was created for them and everyone else just doesn't deserve to be there. But of course they also fail to…
A welcome surprise would be things like free respec tokens on the preview shard, and a reduction in respec costs overall among other constantly requested items. Oh and less cleric, CW and TR nerfs.... :)
Really guys. Don't buy a respec token in order to achieve what they won't provide like they should in the first place. Frankly don't buy ANYTHING anymore from PWI. If they are this greedy it's time to stop being sheep and paying for every little thing their greedy little hands can put in front of us. It's the only way to…
Disgusting yes. Intentional yes. What does this change translate to? More zen purchases for PWI so that you'll remove the existing enchant using gems instead of overwriting it (because it was so expensive). This is all part of the grand design.
It's not just puggers that will feel the pain. All those people that were running CN with "shortcuts?" Guess what those are gone (which is good from a closing an exploit perspective) but guess what.... who's going to run a dungeon that hard and that long without the ability to save the instance to complete later? Not very…
You can respect on the test server. Just toss more money at PWI and buy Zen. You haven't been paying attention to what the whole PWI free to play program really means. Free infinite respecs on the test shard plz thx.
Hey runicfi, great guide, very helpful. I'm curious though in your actual builds. Without listing the actual points you are spending it's very difficult to spec knowing if we're all on the same page. Could you add your point allocations to your skills list? Thanks!
I've been watching hours of live streams to decide what I want to do. At least I know this much, I won't be worrying about buying the founders packs. Saved me some money. But I'll make a firmer decision once the Champions lifetimers get in beta next week.
Are you implying that as a moderator (and I assume PWE employee) that you cannot currently play the game and that you are just as "disadvantaged" as everyone else who hasn't paid out for Founders packs? I'm sorry but I find that hard to believe...unless it was done to imply some special level of "fairness" from PWE that…
And why would you hope there are no refunds? Coming from a consumer that makes no sense whatsoever. At the end of the day PWE will ultimately be held accountable to federal and state laws regarding consumer return policies. If PWE believes the game is of high quality and they expect their customers to feel they've received…
The Mists of Pandaria was 79 dollars!!! I bought every edition and felt very satisfied. Received a special quality box, DVDs, maps, mouse pads, books AND in game mounts/pets. Real value for half the cost.
PWE has just made it so that the things we've all come to expect from "early access" (like the ability to reserve your name of choice which is VERY important to many players) is now a 200 hundred dollar perk. 200 dollars. Think about that. Seriously. In the past a simple PRE-ORDER, or collectors edition, or other "sane"…
I hear ya brother. 200 bucks is ridiculous. Completely. If this bundle gave you some "premium" level (such as a normal subscription level" does where you have full access to all game available content, other than fluff items in the store, then I'd consider it. But 200 dollars for a few purely digital goods, 5 days of beta…
Something I'm confused about is the subscription level of the founders packages. You've listed the freebees and beta access but what is the subscription time? I'd assume the Hero of the North is lifetime and the Guardian is what 6 month? That seems to be typical. I can't imagine that it's 200 dollars for a couple of…
The real announcement about closed beta access for lifers: "Greetings Champions! We are happy to announce that all Champions Online Lifetime Subscribers will be receiving access to the Neverwinter Closed Beta test*. *When this testing phase begins, invites will be doled out to Lifetime Subscribers over the course of the…
I would love to see proof of this. You could be right but to my knowledge phases were never mentioned in any meaningful or "clear" way until the edit of the OP for this thread. Before then it was mentioned in the other "anxiety" thread in this passing sentence: "When Beta Phases have been announced, rest assured, this…
When lifetimer's were told they'd have access to closed beta there was no mention of phases, at least to my knowledge. Nor was there for TL2 pre-orders, to my knowledge. It was simply "CB". Generally and keeping with the "perception" created by the use of "closed beta" as a marketing tool.... the implication is access to…
I fail to understand how this applies to PvE animations. But in any case I probably should have been more clear, I meant NPC/Mobs not players. The NPCs absolutely should have flinch animations when hit. Most of the better MMO's have this for a reason... realism :) But for PvP I don't express to understand the issue that…
This really is an unfair question to ask for a chance at Alpha... why? Because all the choices are good :D Trickster rogue! Been playing a rogue for years and years and can't wait to see the NW implementation. Second choice would be fighter but wizard is also another option. Cheers.
Let's look at this another way. Complaining about the beta taking longer than people would like, the free beta btw, isn't going to make it happen sooner nor was it promised on ANY date. That said the ONLY thing imo that would be a legitimate gripe is that if PW opens the "closed" beta just a couple weeks before release.…
Sorry but we'll have to agree to disagree. Neverwinter is very well known, certainly it's not at the Blizzard level, but it's still very popular. I've been around gaming for a long time as you probably have as well and I've seen this all before. At the end of the day it will be the game's quality, as well as it's marketing…
