  • This nerf is the last straw for me. They just lost a customer. The $60 they got out of me last month is the only money they'll ever get from me, both Cryptic and PWE.
  • The nerf to Protecting Caravan has caused me to abandon this game. It was only fun for a couple weeks anyway.
  • Yep, they did indeed cut the AD reward in half. I'm out - done with this game and it's far-too-greedy devs. I deeply regret the $60 I already gave them, and neither Cryptic nor PWE will ever get another cent from me. I want them to know that their greed has now cost them a customer for life.
  • I'm not buying any more slots until they give us more classes. I've already got one of every class that interests me.
  • I prioritize Regeneration because I hate using consumables and the healer companion doesn't scale past mid-level. I hate that this game lacks between-battle health regen; it seems like too much of a throw-back to older game aspects, even though I do like some aspects of older games.
  • Yes. Both my characters were in their 20s when I bought mine, and after a week+ delay they were able to get all the items. Keep in mind that some of the items won't be of any use at 20+, but the companion and the mount and the AD will be.
  • Since when is fun not a reward? And diversion is a relief of stress, which is also a reward of sorts. People play games because it can give rewards not quickly or easily accessible in real life. How often do we get to be heroes and valiant warriors outside of games, for instance, or see towering castles and vast caverns?…
  • That they feel the need to shove that message in our face constantly is pretty much proof that buying keys is a poor financial decision and is only feeding the house like shoving quarters in a slot machine. Their spamming is having a negative effect on me and I will not be buying keys because for one I don't want to…
  • Sorry, but that has to be one of the most ignorant things I've ever seen in a game forum. Of course people play games for rewards. Every game is a disguised rat food pellet experiment, even more so than other less interactive forms of entertainment. Back on topic, while I sympathize with the OP, I think if you are tackling…
  • Many seem to complain how auto-regen would be too non-D&D, but this is first and foremost a game, and as such a principle like the one you mention should apply. So many take the cleric companion because otherwise healing up between fights becomes an annoying chore. We don't play games to experience annoying chores. Lacking…
  • Having read the article, I found it quite reasonable. It was mostly opinion, with some fact assumptions thrown in, but you have yet to list even one fact you dispute. Your casual dismissal smacks of unmoderated fanboyism and guarantees that any posts of yours I see in the future will be met with considerable skepticism. If…
  • For those who are interested, it took me just over 8 days to get my items delivered from the $60 Guardian Pack. That may actually be on the low side for those who have issues with such items not being immediately delivered, since I read of another person having an 11 day delay and I know there are many others who saw that…
  • I purchased the Guardian Pack on 5/13 and finally yesterday 5/21 the redeem page showed it with yesterday's date and now I have the third character slot and the in-game items. I also got an email yesterday regarding my Pack ("...Important Info"). So something finally kicked in on the back end and processed my transaction,…
  • If I were only missing my AD, I'd probably be twice as patient as I currently am. I have not received anything for the $60 they took from me. At least with the extra character slot I could have been trying another class, and with the dire wolf I could have been leveling it. I was planning to save the AD for later anyway.…
  • Unintended behavior seems to be the weeds that crop up in every MMO that devs (and in this case player-devs) want to root out because they spoil the garden. I would propose that unintended behavior is always a product of two factors: human nature and the reward structure of the game. Of those two, I only see the latter…
  • The problem seems to be that they added a Daily Foundry task as a way to encourage people to run Foundries but then hard-coded eligibility at 15 minutes without regard to the actual content, presumably because the dev time needed to examine every Foundry that intently would be unfeasible. So now those seeking AD (all but…
  • Unfortunately the design of the game means that AD is the only currency that matters, so people focus on tasks that provide AD, and will tend to farm tasks that give the most AD for the time invested. This is a common (if not ubiquitous) MMO pattern, of course, but this one takes it a step further than many MMOs by tying…
  • So some players trying to be efficient (and in no way exploiting or cheating) causes a detriment/punishment for everyone? That is a horrible policy. Our time is valuable to us, so if we rush through something to get a reward, that is our business and should not be cause for any change. And support is horrible too. I paid…
  • It gives a third of the dungeon AD, and dungeons are estimated at 45 minutes, so 15 minutes would be pretty appropriate. This nerf is turning me off to this game now.
  • This is my situation too. On my credit card site the $60 charge now shows as completed whereas it was pending a few days ago, but I still don't have anything to show for it. I put in a ticket that included my receipt number but I have no reply or response in the three days since I put that in. I guess they have no…
  • I wish I knew they'd take my money for a Guardian Pack and not deliver what I paid for and not reply to the tech support ticket I put in for that issue. This is becoming the worst game support experience I've ever had.
  • Bump. Surely someone knows the answer. By starter kits I just mean the default bundles you open every 5 levels.
  • They're taking money, so they owe us stability. If this was a true beta where we weren't being charged for anything, where the tacit agreement is we trade our playing time for the help we provide for bug-fixing, sure, go ahead and test server scaling; but if people are handing over money like they are, the infrastructure…
  • I now have both my characters past 16 and they both have a cleric companion, so all is well now. But I felt compelled for each of them to take the cleric because otherwise my more fragile character would be spending quite a bit of my in-game income on heal potions since entering battles at half-health is dangerous, as well…
  • Skirmish queues (assuming they are the same as dungeon queues) seem to take forever. I heard someone say they try to match level and balance classes within groups, but I've had no confirmation of that. If there is balancing going on, that would explain why it takes so long, and why so many seem to avoid them and just shout…
  • Back in EQ, I would use a back upstairs room in the inn in one of the Freeport zones to shift items. I thought modern MMOs would be more advanced, but apparently some are still stuck in the past and not in a good way. I suspect it is a subtle tactic to increase sales of the class slots. Things like that, combined with a…
  • For those who wonder why this bothers me, I might mention that I only have two level 5 characters in this game. So I haven't gotten far and I haven't gotten any companions and don't feel confident about my in-game currency income. I've played plenty of other MMOs, almost all of which had some kind of regen between battles…
