Kind of funny. I created a foundry quest, that's EXTREMELY challenging to solo, however, the first time I ran it I went from about half way through 25, to level 27. So foundry quest experience wise isn't worthless. I also filled 48 inventory slots running it. There are foundry quests out there that have more meat than…
It's kind of funny how I started with a post saying "I know this is a rant" and you guys have taken it so far away from the fact that I was just unhappy with downtime everyday so far. You've carried it to racism, which was predictable. What a little social experiment in the interweb can be. Enjoy Neverwinter guys! And…
This is what I'm getting at. And naysayers, don't reply that this is "still a BETA!" Because by and by, largely, Free-to-play games that charge money during their beta, NEVER LEAVE BETA! They keep the beta tag to justify certain things in their developmental cycle, or non-developmental-cycle, so I don't even want to hear…
I'm not opposed to fixing bugs, in fact I'm a large fan of it, but to bring down your servers nearly every day for a complete week every morning, says a lot about the state of the game. And to constantly bring them down at nearly the same time every day is just frustrating in general.
Or they could embrace models of other games, where they patch the server while you're playing, then it makes you logout to patch the client, a la Guild Wars 2. There are options that are better than Daily Maintenance.
If the servers are so unreliable that they require DAILY maintenance, then there's a problem here beyond the normal scope of IT Maintenance and Prevention. If this were only for a server reset, then they'd announce a server reset, not a scheduled maintenance. I have spent over a decade in the IT Industry.
It is a bit limited at the moment, even the big popular foundry authors have no problem admitting that. The most popular foundry missions, and the most challenging, they've found little tricks to make their content more interesting. There's even a ventrillo server where foundry authors will help you learn how to do certain…
Same here. Also, I ended up Deft Striking into a wall in one the first boss room. Was stuck above a mob in the wall. Got lucky, had my party pull more mobs over so I could deft strike out.
I imagine PW/Cryptic is probably working on it. The Foundry will probably end up being the meat and potatoes of this game, as you can play through most of the official zone content in just over a week.
I can't attest to issues with extra large maps, or custom maps, though I've been in foundry quests that have all 50 encounters, use a lot of detail, and the load times are still minimal.
Some of the qualms you've posted they've acknowledged and said they hope to eventually implement. I imagine they have to develop tighter safeguards and controls on certain foundry aspects before they give us more control. I doubt they'll add anything until they're fairly assured it won't be abused, that's just the way of…
Publishing some tweaks to An Awakening of Flames Shortly. Adding an initial series of encounters in the entry hallway, easy and standard types, to make the setting more realistic, and to flesh these out. Should be up in under 10 minutes. It'll be version 2.5RC with the changes. As a note, If you SOLO A Cloak of Many…

After feedback on An Awakening of Flames have released a new version this morning to address some of the comments from last night. Thank you all who help me out by play testing this thing.
VIP Access has always referred to headstart. The Queue priority has always been something seperate only on the hero of the north founders package. They've updated their descriptions on items after stages of beta has progressed, however they've only ever added to them. VIP Access used to refer to ONLY the Headstart. If you…
The game is listed in Raptr, but you can't manually update the playtime. I'd give it about a month since this is more a soft release than an actual beta. They need to resolve the bigger bugs before they work on third party issues.
Yeah, a 2-3 slot for free would be nice. I think it'd encourage more people to buy mounts, unlock their nightmare chests... i.e. more revenue for Neverwinter, and more bag space for us.
Dear Devs. I heart you, and the game. Can I please have a golden pony. Ok, in all seriousness, you guys are rocking it. Launch days always make tech staffs off themselves, or lose most of their hair, and you fixed a lot of the lag issues launch day, and implemented a queue (who cares if people hate it, they always hate…
That'd work, but even easier would be to copy over the companions system and tab, and tweak it just a little bit. When you open the character menu, there'd be a mounts tab after Companions that would you be your stable. All horses save one would be marked idle, and the one you select is your active mount which becomes the…
I've always loved collecting mounts in MMOs, but here bag and bank space is so precious. It kills the want for me to buy keys for my nightmare lockboxes, because I can't hold all this stuff. Lol.
Completely agree with OP. Should be two tiers of queues, one for Heroes and one for Guardians. It's only fair. And you should be returned to the character select screen with insta-que access if you end up at the login screen again. Maybe some measure where active characters are marked highest priority for up to a minute or…
Hey PW. Honestly, if you can queue shorten for Hero of the North, you can add a second tier of Queue reduction for Guardians too. It only makes sense. They ponied up too. You guys only have 3 servers and queues in the TENS of thousands. Fix it or you'll never see another penny from me.
