The game is released, you won't notice any difference. They are just keeping the beta tag on the name because they know there are bugs. But besides having it on the name, the game is as any other game called released.
GW "sucks" because there is no gear difference. We are talking about mmos after all. I want shooters, rts, mobas, and so on to be 100% about skill. Mmos are about char progression, itemization is important. That said, gw2 would rock if it weren't for the lackluster itemization.
You would be right... if this was a singleplayer game. I don't mind other players cheating in skyrim. But this is an mmo. If you want to play an mmo, you care about what other players do.
I am not calling it as I please. I am saying facts of why it isnt a beta anymore, while they just put the tag on the name. I am not "simply calling it non beta". I am saying: if an mmo is not wiping anymore, everything that happens is staying for good. So, it's not a beta, you aren't testing anything, you are leaving the…
I think it's needed. I'm loving the game, but it has 2 big downsides in my opinion. One is the economy, even without exploits. Everything BoE and paying for beeing stronger destroys the main focus of mmos, progression. Anyway, staying on topic, the second downside imo is the world. Each zone is pretty and fun. But the…
You are totally wrong. A beta in an mmo, ends the exact moment you decide to not wipe anymore. The moment everything that happens is staying forever, it's not a beta anymore. Don't you see how easy it is for them to just put the tag "beta" on the title. Calling something as you pelase doesn't make it be that way.
The title is worthless. The less common a title is, the more valuable. If you give a title to everybody, it's worthless. Maybe if the game survives 2 years, it will be cool, when few players remain from today.
Because the only thing this game has like a beta is the tag in its name. The moment an mmo makes no more wipes, it stops beeing a beta. Even more, if you incorporate real money into the economy. The name of the game has a beta tag, thats all thats left of a beta.
Really? Did gw2 enable pvp on the outside world? Gonna go read the latest patchnotes, had no idea. Sounds nice. Imo, gw2 is awesome for leveling. But the teamplay content is terrible. World pvp sounds nice tho
In Envy's thread, he explains how it works. Not in the first post, but in the conversation, in some post in the middle pages. I (and almost everybody) also understood that with 5/5 Tactical Superiority, the buff would be always on. But he says Combat Superiority woks this way: When you are attacked, you get the 10% bonus…
I've thought the same since I first saw our guard meter. Just reached 60 and don't know teh answer yet. But I sure hope it scales with our defensive stats
I had no idea about this debuff until I came across this post. I recently started leveling a cleric alt, but knowing this completly makes me not want to continue him. Not because it makes him UP or impossible to play. I just don't like it at all. The concept of this debuff is horrible imo. Even makes me want to level…
Facepalm. Having the tag "beta" doesn't make it a beta. It is a released game, with the beta tag still on it's name. The moment there are no more wipes, it becomes released. Even more if real money is already in the economy.
It's playable. But in pvp you can notice it badly. If I try to charge and do any skill, the lag makes it impossible to land. Well, even threatening rush fails midway most of the times bc of small latency issues. Then there's also the maintenance in prime time.... EU servers please
False, because that is not allowed and will get the account banned if caught. I am not complaining about some hackers in NWO, if that would be the case I would just report them. I am saying the cash system is totally flawed and will make endgame progression unexistant. By design, not by hackers.
He didn't say anything about at wills removing the mark. Neither do the marks "go poof" when you use at wills. The marks disappear if you get hit while not blocking. Or after some pretty long time.
Tera Rising and Defiance just came out. It's definately something more than the timeing. Neverwinter online has many flaws, maybe even so many that endgame won't be fun. But it is a very good game for now. We'll see.
We often remember the good'ole days better than what they were. I loved Anarchy Online. I played it several years and it was just amazing. Always talked about how good that game was when playing other mmos. Then, several years later they made it free. I came back and I couldn't play it for even 1 day.
